Chapter 3532: Coaxing the Fire Fox

Ye Liuyun wouldn't let this wolf escape; he immediately released his soul source and rushed straight into the head wolf's Sea of Consciousness.

By now many wolves had been slain; most of the green wolves were blown to ashes by Ye Liuyun's Thunder Spirit, leaving only their essence pellets.

A few strong ones were also killed by the nine-headed devil dragon's Technique, so Ye Liuyun now attacks the head wolf without worrying about reinforcements from other wolves.

Moreover, Long Nv and Xiao Lanbing's Divine Soul Golden Sword and war chariot can come to help at any time, giving him more confidence.

Though the soul power of a Ninth Realm ferocious beast is not as strong as a Martial Cultivator's, it is not weak either. After Ye Liuyun's two soul sources rushed in, he discovered that the green wolf's soul also consisted of two sources, only slightly weaker than his, with no obvious weakness..

"It seems the soul power of a Ninth Realm Martial Cultivator might be even greater!" Ye Liuyun thought, so he must not lightly launch a Spiritual Soul Attack against a Ninth Realm Martial Cultivator in the future.

At the same time, one of his soul sources used the Red Eye to influence the green wolf's soul source, then attacked with Spatial Power and Heaven and Earth Power, while the other soul source transformed into a Soul Blade and slashed at the green wolf's other soul source.

His two soul sources, using different attack methods, the green wolf could not block. After all, it is a ferocious beast; its soul power is strong, but its attack methods are far simpler.

Especially Ye Liuyun's Soul Blade, which offers no defense; a few strikes from him split the green wolf's soul into fragments, and then the Soul Blade transformed into a Heaven-devouring Beast that devoured its soul source.

Ye Liuyun's other soul source also attacked smoothly; the Red Eye took effect, causing the green wolf's soul to abandon resistance at a critical moment, and a few punches from him shattered it completely, after which it too was devoured by the Heaven-devouring Beast.

Afterwards, Ye Liuyun's Soul immediately returned to the Sea of Consciousness, throwing the swallowed green wolf's soul sources into the Soul Refining Cauldron for condensation.

At this moment, Long Nv and Xiao Lanbing again released their golden swords and war chariots to slay the other wolves, quickly wiping out the pack and leaving corpses strewn across the ground.

"Hurry up and clean the battlefield!"

After Ye Liuyun finished his work, he immediately recalled his Thunder Spirit and summoned the monster beasts to clean the battlefield, lest the bloody scent attract more ferocious beasts.

They all tried to stay outside the Formation, at its edge collecting the ferocious beasts' corpses and essence pellets. Their haul this time was also considerable, but fighting was exhausting, so future battles must be more cautious.

Afterwards, Ye Liuyun led the group to shift positions, beginning a horizontal sweep, first heading toward the direction from which the Vajra Giant Ape came. Because the monster beasts' sense of smell is keen, they said the medicinal herbs' fragrance was stronger there.

Soon they found the Vajra Giant Ape's lair, where they discovered several huge fruit trees bearing large fruits.

Ye Liuyun didn't know what they were, so he first transplanted them into the Space World to prevent other ferocious beasts from snatching them later, then continued sideways to search for ferocious beasts and precious medicinal herbs.

When not fighting, he also recalled the monster beasts into the Space World to restore their True Essence, leaving only Qiong Qi and the Crimson Snake for defense, while the Metal Puppet remained outside, always ready for battle.

"What a pity just now! Not a single Ninth Realm ferocious beast was subdued; otherwise we'd have gained another ally!" Qiong Qi lamented to Ye Liuyun.

"There's nothing we can do; the strength gap is too great, we dare not give them a chance to attack. Moreover, their soul power is not weak either, making subduing them difficult."

Ye Liuyun also felt it a pity, so he could only look for another opportunity later.

He also recalled the raccoon cat's ability to pass through formations: "What skill is this, able to penetrate several layers of formation?"

"It's probably the raccoon cat's innate divine ability, allowing it to pierce formation barriers!" Qiong Qi guessed.

"If its spatial power isn't that strong, why not attack us directly instead of hiding first?" Ye Liuyun wondered.

"Maybe it's just the nature of ferocious beasts. The raccoon cat is timid and seeks safety. Moreover, it rarely gets a chance to use its spatial power here, so it needs ample preparation before acting!"

However, these are all Qiong Qi's guesses; he is not ten

fully certain. It's a shame the raccoon cat died, so there's nowhere to ask now.

Ye Liuyun merely took inspiration from this, later allowing Qiong Qi to set up some formations for him to practice and enhance his spatial power.

The two were chatting when suddenly a wave of heat surged. Ye Liuyun's Divine Sense also detected a Ninth Realm Huo Hu, its whole body ablaze with firelight, charging at them. Wherever the Huo Hu passed, the surrounding trees were burned to ash.

After Ye Liuyun told Qiong Qi, both of them were happy.

Qiong Qi proposed: "Leave it to me; your Fire Flame Power is already strong enough, you don't need this bit!"

"Alright, you go first; if it doesn't work, I'll step in!"

Ye Liuyun also wanted to give this Huo Hu's Fire Flame Power to Qiong Qi, so that his realm could advance a bit faster.

Qiong Qi is unlike the Vermilion Bird, which can raise its realm by devouring souls; he relies solely on fire, and without Fire Flame Power his realm advances with difficulty.

Ye Liuyun first stored the Crimson Snake in the Space World to prevent her from being burned. Qiong Qi also pretended to set up a formation to lure the Huo Hu into attacking it with fire.

When the Huo Hu arrived, Ye Liuyun and Qiong Qi were already inside the formation. Qiong Qi's Broken Copper Cauldron had already been buried underground to absorb fire flame power.

"Heh heh, you're late; your fire flame power can't break my formation!" Qiong Qi mocked the Huo Hu.

Although the Huo Hu couldn't speak, it understood Qiong Qi's mockery and immediately spat a mouthful of flame at the formation, but soon its fire flame power was absorbed by the formation, and the flame went out directly.

"Haha, I'm right, your fire isn't up to par!" Qiong Qi continued to mock verbally, but his hands were busy repairing the formation; after drawing it in the air, he slapped the spot the Huo Hu had just burned.

Upon seeing that, the Huo Hu immediately just just spewed two streams of flame, again burning the formation; it indeed blew two large holes, but they quickly sealed shut.

Qiong Qi also pretended to be startled, not daring to mock the Huo Hu anymore, but busily continued to repair the formation, acting as if he were worried the Huo Hu would burn it down.

The Huo Hu tried several more times, but each time it merely blasted open a large hole in the formation for an instant, then it immediately closed again. The Huo Hu lost a few streams of flame; though not too painful, it also showed a doubtful look, beginning to scrutinize the formation.

At this point Qiong Qi took the opportunity to negotiate with it: "You also can't break this formation; we don't want to kill you either, so you'd better leave quickly.

Otherwise we do have a Ninth Realm Kuailei; when your fire flame power wanes, we'll strike again, and you won't be able to withstand it!"

"This guy is really a master of deception!" Ye Liuyun also admired in his heart how convincingly Qiong Qi acted.
