Chapter 366: Alliance Mission

Ye Liuyun encouraged Lin Feier: "In this world, techniques have no inherent good or evil. I believe that no matter what technique you practice, you can stay true to yourself; your will is strong enough!"

"Really? That's great! You made me worry for so long! Just as Mo Ya said. He also said you would support me!" Lin Feier said happily.

Ye Liuyun smiled, then ordered the Corpse Demons to emerge from the Warship one by one and jump into the bronze cauldron. The Corpse Demon army, after the battle with the Jin Family, had already consumed more than half. The remainder still took nearly a day to all jump into the cauldron.

During this time, Qiong Qi said goodbye to everyone and left alone. Before departing, he reminded Ye Liuyun to intensify his cultivation.

After Lin Feier collected all the Corpse Demons into the bronze cauldron, she handed her Token and Transmission Talisman to Ye Liuyun and also said goodbye to him.

"Huh? Why are you leaving too? Where are you going? Not returning to the Alliance?"

Ye Liuyun was puzzled; he hadn't opposed her practicing any technique, so why would she leave?

"Following you would only hold you back, and I wouldn't get any training; you would never let me face danger. So I've decided. I will go out on my own, train alone! I don't want to return to the Alliance; I feel it's not right for me!" Lin Feier said firmly.

Ye Liuyun was also stunned, at a loss for words.

"You don't need to worry about me! If you hadn't come to rescue me this time, I thought I was dead! So I've let go, no longer afraid. I will quickly improve my strength so that in the future I can protect myself, protect you!"

Lin Feier blushed slightly, lowered her head, but still voiced what she wanted to say.

"Since you've decided, I won't stop you! I also hope you become stronger! However, you must take these Crystal Stones, and my Transmission Talisman; contact me anytime if needed," Ye Liuyun said, giving her another Transmission Talisman, the ten billion premium Crystal Stones he had just obtained, and also a Spirit Grade sword.

Lin Feier surprisingly did not refuse, taking each item. Then she suddenly leapt into Ye Liuyun's arms, hugged him tightly, and ran off without looking back.

"Sister Lin also likes the young man?" Lei Ming asked, realizing belatedly.

Wu Qingcheng said to the stunned Ye Liuyun: "You put too much pressure on her! And she's a strong‑willed woman; the more she likes you, the less she'll let you protect her!"

Lei Ming shook his head, not understanding: "She likes the young man and still wants to leave? Anyway, I won't leave the young man!"

After speaking, she grabbed a piece of grilled meat and started gnawing it.

Ye Liuyun had no romantic intent toward Lin Feier, so he smiled awkwardly, then teased Lei Ming: "Looks like you can't stay away from grilled meat!" which made everyone laugh.

As everyone laughed, Ye Liuyun's Alliance Token suddenly vibrated.

"Alliance Mission: Five Realms Alliance, destroy the Foreign Tribe Altar in the Eastern Realm! Location is in the Eastern Realm, reachable via the Teleportation Hall."

Ye Liuyun glanced at the mission and muttered, "First time receiving an Alliance mission. Straight to destroying an altar, that's the Alliance for you! The top experts from the Five Realms should all go!"

Then he excitedly called everyone back to the Dragon Palace; he would first return to the Alliance, then go through the Teleportation Hall to the eastern assembly point.

"So many people!" As Ye Liuyun emerged from the Teleportation Array, he was stunned by the scene— it could be described as a sea of people.

"Did all the Five Realms members come?" Ye Liuyun asked a nearby Metal Puppet.

"Yes. Need a map of the Eastern Realm? Just a Yuan Dan Crystal Core. It marks the altar's location." the Metal Puppet replied.

"Alright then. Can I act alone?" Ye Liuyun handed over the Crystal Core, and after receiving the map asked.

"Yes. If you complete the mission alone, the Alliance offers a major reward!" the Puppet answered.

"What reward?"

"Reward: one chance to explore a Secret Realm of the Five Realms."

"There's such a reward!" Ye Liuyun decided silently, and set off to destroy the altar.

However, as he studied the map carefully, he was stunned. "So many altars! What does this Foreign Tribe intend?"

The map marked over twenty altar locations! That's far beyond normal.

While Ye Liuyun was pondering, a few young people ahead blocked him.

"Yuan Dan Fifth Tier? That's the Northern Realm again? Your Northern Realm people this time have such low realms!" a young man sneered.

Ye Liuyun looked up; opposite were five youths, four men and one woman, all at Yuan Dan eighth or ninth tier.

"Kid, here's a chance: join our Eastern Realm team; we know the terrain, so you won't die here." another man said.

"No need! I'm used to being alone!" Ye Liuyun replied shortly. He didn't want to cause trouble right away.

The woman, seeing his resolve, gave him a proper look and said, "The Eastern Realm's situation differs from your Northern Realm; the Corpse Demon realm here is high, beyond your capability!"

"Thanks for the info!" Ye Liuyun said, then skirted around the group and headed straight toward the assembly point's outskirts.

"You don't know what's good for you, rejecting Sister He Yue's invitation?" a disciple reached out to grab Ye Liuyun.

"Feng Jie, enough! We're all Alliance members; don't act, or others will say we bully people. If he won't join us, let him die!"

The woman named He Yue stopped Feng Jie from acting.

But a hawk‑eyed man beside him, named Feng Wu Hen, who always dotes on junior sister He Yue, saw her being rejected, let out a cold "hm", and launched a Divine Sense attack toward Ye Liuyun's Sea of Consciousness. "I'll give you a lesson, to make you lose your… um…"

"Senior Brother Feng, you…" He Yue felt Feng Wu Hen launch a Spiritual Soul Attack; she had intended to scold him for being too rash, but then saw him utter a "um" with blood at the corner of his mouth. "What's wrong?" she asked, a bit surprised.

"This kid's Soul is strong!" the hawk‑eyed man said, wiping the fresh blood from his mouth, glaring at Ye Liuyun resentfully.

Ye Liuyun, without turning his head, warned, "If you provoke me again, I'll annihilate you!" then strode away.

"You're really reckless!" Feng Jie tried to act again, but this time Feng Wu Hen stopped him.

"Don't act, you're no match for him!" Feng Wu Hen advised.

"What? I'm not his match? How could that be, he's only at Yuan Dan Fifth Tier!" Feng Jie muttered dissatisfiedly.

"He's a Soul Cultivator!" Feng Wu Hen's remark finally dissuaded Feng Jie from acting.

"Senior Brother Feng, a Soul Cultivator can't deal with Corpse Demons, so wouldn't this kid be going to his death?" He Yue asked.

Feng Wu Hen smiled darkly: "Exactly. That's why I won't let you act. Come, let's follow and see how he gets killed by the Corpse Demons!"

But when they reached outside the assembly point, Ye Liuyun's figure was nowhere to be found. He had already merged into the void, traveling a hundred li away.

"He's really odd! Let's drop it and handle our own business first!" He Yue suggested.

They couldn't find him, so they temporarily gave up.
