Chapter 3687: First Appearance

There was another Martial Cultivator whose own strength was weak, but he had many helpers. Yet he was ambushed and killed by a stronger cultivator, and his Kuailei and Monster Beasts were instantly seized by other strong cultivators.

Soon, those strong cultivators stopped fighting each other and began clearing out the Martial Cultivators of lower realms who had no Kuailei or Monster Beasts nearby. After all, killing them was easier.

Thus, Martial Cultivators who were weak and lacked auxiliary power were quickly eliminated.

Then they competed on overall strength; the remaining participants fought each other, some forming alliances, some paying for helpers. In short, they kept eliminating until only ten remained, after which the arena reopened and the battle was halted by the Steward.

The ten Martial Cultivators left on the stage were the ones who passed the elimination test. Ye Liuyun chatted casually with Li Yuan about these people's traits.

"That Martial Cultivator of the Second Stage of Dong Tian also brought two Third Stage of Dong Tian Kuailei and more than ten First Stage of Dong Tian Monster Beasts, whose attack attributes varied widely—practically unbeatable!" Li Yuan exclaimed.

"Hmm, that person's overall strength is indeed great."

Ye Liuyun nodded in agreement. A Third Stage of Dong Tian Kuailei is not something an ordinary family can forge.

Ye Liuyun also needed to observe these battles closely, since the winners could become his future opponents. Unfortunately, the Clone Puppet lacks a Golden Pupil, so it cannot perceive the opponent's internal condition.

"If the two of us faced each other, who would be stronger?" Li Yuan suddenly asked Ye Liuyun.

"My assistants are more than yours!" Ye Liuyun did not answer directly, only stating that his assistants were numerous.

Li Yuan merely smiled and did not probe further.

He had previously fought Ye Liuyun, but that was Ye Liuyun's main body; as for whether this Kuailei Clone possesses Ye Liuyun's abilities, he could not be sure.

Ye Liuyun was also contemplating this; he wasn't worried about the elimination round, but in later matches, facing a strong cultivator like Li Yuan with special abilities, the Clone Puppet would indeed find victory difficult.

Therefore, after consideration, he decided to temporarily lend Lei Ming's temporal aura to the Clone Puppet for survival, and also equip the Clone Puppet with some Monster Beasts that can emit Black and White Light. Otherwise, when facing a mob attack, the Clone Puppet might be at a disadvantage.

He also summoned Sun Queyi, produced several Golden Pupils he had been collecting along with a Foreign Tribe's Tian Yan and Earth Eye, and asked him to see if they could help the Clone Puppet refine onto a Physical Body.

After Sun Queyi and Ye Liuyun thoroughly discussed the uses of these eye pupils, Sun Queyi shook his head outright: "These Special Eye Pupils cannot be refined; they can only let the Clone refine itself anew.

But even if the refinement fails, I can remanufacture the Kuailei so it instantly recovers, as good as new. Moreover, the refinement can incorporate green Life Crystal Stone and purple Eye-Pupil Crystal, greatly increasing the success rate."

Upon hearing this, Ye Liuyun could only let the Clone Puppet undergo refinement again. He had previously thought the Clone Puppet was strong enough and didn't need further refinement, but now realized that enhancing the eye pupil's ability was necessary for safety.

Before the Clone Puppet's turn arrived, Ye Liuyun's main body had already reached the Central Kingdom, found Li Chengfeng again, and explained his purpose.

After he signed a contract with Ye Liuyun, Ye Liuyun directly revealed his identity to him. He also asked Li Chengfeng to help locate special treasures that possess Spatial Power, especially eye pupils imbued with Spatial Power.

"You don't have to actually obtain it; even just knowing who holds it is fine!" Ye Liuyun reminded Li Chengfeng.

"Alright, I will do my utmost to find it. However, once such a treasure falls into the hands of a major power, it will probably be very hard to retrieve." Li Chengfeng also gave Ye Liuyun a heads‑up.

Everyone knows it's a priceless treasure, so it must be very hard to obtain.

"No problem, even just a piece of information would be good." Ye Liuyun knew it was hard to find, and gave Li Chengfeng a hint, saying that Li Yuan's blue eye pupil has that function.

However, he never intended to kill Li Yuan to seize the treasure. He personally despises those who kill for treasure.

He and Li Yuan could also be counted as friends.

Although the previous contract had already expired, as long as Li Yuan does not strike him, he has no intention of attacking Li Yuan.

Therefore, he emphasized that his instruction to Li Chengfeng was to investigate Li Yuan to discover where Li Yuan obtained this eye pupil, not to have Li Chengfeng attack Li Yuan.

"Someone with that ability is not someone you can just plot against!" Ye Liuyun reminded Li Chengfeng again.

"Yes, I will faithfully follow Young Master Ye's orders!" Li Chengfeng replied respectfully, and sent his subordinates to investigate immediately.

Ye Liuyun temporarily stayed at the Li Family, waiting for the Clone Puppet to return.

Inside the training arena, the elimination matches were nearing their end; Martial Cultivators took the stage group by group to clash, each bout leaving a heap of corpses and shaking the heavens.

Of course, if a Martial Cultivator managed to crush the Token and concede, they would be instantly teleported out of the arena. Yet most still chose to gamble on a fight.

But many underpowered individuals lost their lives the moment they hesitated. The Token's teleportation has a slight delay, and that tiny lag is enough to cause their death.

When it was Li Yuan's turn, he immediately deployed ten Kuailei and ten guards, all of Cave Heaven Realm level. Hence ordinary people dared not scheme against him.

Two Cave Heaven Realm strong cultivators attempted to ambush Li Yuan, but he evaded them with Spatial Power, then used his black pupil to absorb their souls and slay them.

Thus Li Yuan won effortlessly and returned to watch Ye Liuyun's appearance. Because Ye Liuyun registered later, he was placed in the final group.

When his group finally took the stage, there were still 120 participants left; the Steward grouped them together for a free‑for‑all, which would ultimately leave twelve Martial Cultivators.

As soon as the Clone Puppet stepped onto the arena, it immediately sensed a strong killing aura around it.

"So that's it?"

He smiled inwardly, yet his face remained unchanged, and instantly scattered some Spirit Stones around himself, encasing himself within them.

When the Steward announced the start of the match, the Spirit Stones surrounding the Clone Puppet instantly exploded, emitting Golden Light and forming a Defense Array. At the same time, he released his carried Bà Tiān, Black Tiger, Xiong Tianchuan, and three Monster Beasts.

Bà Tiān and Black Tiger both concealed their realms, so their strength appeared negligible to others; some even laughed upon seeing Monster Beasts below the Ninth Realm.

Outside the arena, Li Yuan showed no expression, knowing that even a Clone Puppet like Ye Liuyun would surely pass this elimination round.

Li Qianjiao immediately tensed, unconsciously clenching her fists, and began worrying for Ye Liuyun. She clearly saw several people rushing straight at Ye Liuyun to kill him.
