Chapter 369: Dark Beam

"Why do you look different from the other Foreign Tribe?" Ye Liuyun asked curiously.

"Foolish Human, we the Evil Demon clan have many varieties, unlike your Human Race where everyone looks the same. But your pair of eyes are rather special. Do you have some special ability? How about we compare and see whose eyes are more powerful?"

That Foreign Tribe Evil Artifact could, even through the Invisibility Cloak, see Ye Liuyun's eyes.

Ye Liuyun immediately activated his Golden Pupil and gazed at the eyes of that Foreign Tribe Evil Artifact.

"How is it? Can you see the difference in our three-eyed tribe's eyes?" The Foreign Tribe Evil Artifact, surprisingly, didn't mind and let him observe.

In the two ordinary eyes of this three-eyed Foreign Tribe, evil energy swirled. In the eye he kept closed, the energy was even more terrifying; his Crystal Core also lay behind that vertical pupil.

"It seems this third eye can let him unleash energy attacks!" Ye Liuyun assessed the opponent's attack power in his mind, realizing he could not withstand it.

Perhaps fearing he wouldn't understand, the three-eyed Foreign Tribe explained: "My vertical pupil can emit dark light that annihilates everything it touches! If I open my vertical pupil, you are certain to die!"

Ye Liuyun tried to use his Golden Pupil to cast illusion on him.

The Foreign Tribe laughed. "Hahaha, your Golden Pupil illusion has no effect on my two ordinary eyes! So today, your death is certain! Yet dying beneath my pupil technique would be an honor for you!"

"Not necessarily?" Ye Liuyun suddenly launched a Spiritual Soul Attack. With the enemy strong and himself weak, he could only rely on a Soul attack to strike.

Ye Liuyun's Soul, after eradicating the three Tian Gang Fifth Layer ancestors of the Jin Family, received a great boost. Moreover, Mingshe had recently absorbed many Corpse Demon souls, so the two of them, working together against the Tian Gang Liu Chong Soul, still had some chance of victory. However, the process was not swift, and if the opponent's Soul were relatively strong, it could still find an opening to strike.

But now he had no other chance. Under this Foreign Tribe's grasp, escape was impossible. He could only gamble with his life!

With the support of the Thunder Fire Domain and Nether Ghost Fire, Ye Liuyun's Soul attack indeed held the advantage. Yet the opponent's Soul was not weak either, and for a time he could not annihilate it.

At that moment, the three-eyed Foreign Tribe gritted his teeth and strained to fully open his third eye.

Ye Liuyun's Golden Pupil even saw how the energy inside his Crystal Core was being channeled into his vertical pupil.

He immediately released a Skeleton Puppet, sending it to attack the three-eyed Foreign Tribe's Physical Body, attacking from multiple fronts, aiming to kill the Foreign Tribe before it could launch its attack!

But the Foreign Tribe's Physical Body was also incredibly robust; the Skeleton Puppet, wielding two Spirit Grade weapons, could only slice off a few scales each time.

Seeing the Foreign Tribe's third eye about to open, Ye Liuyun felt anxious but helpless, and could only accelerate his Soul attack. His two Soul Golden Armor Giants kept cleaving blade after blade. Hell Mingshe also sensed the danger, constantly striking and tearing.

Even Blood Thunder, Golden Crow Holy Fire, and Nether Ghost Fire burned continuously, yet they barely drained the opponent's Soul.

At this moment, the Foreign Tribe's third eye had opened a slit, releasing a dark black beam imbued with evil power toward Ye Liuyun.

Ye Liuyun instantly felt his Physical Body gradually melting under the beam's erosion. Yet his body's regenerative ability was swift; as soon as a bit melted, it healed. So for now the danger was not severe, and he could barely hold on.

The Skeleton Puppet thrust its long sword at the third eye. Unexpectedly, the dark beam could even corrode the Spirit Grade long sword.

Helpless, the Skeleton Puppet switched between a massive axe and its sword, repeatedly hacking at the three-eyed Foreign Tribe's head, trying to cleave off his skull.

Through the Skeleton Puppet's relentless effort, it finally decapitated the three-eyed Foreign Tribe. His body fell to the ground instantly, yet the Crystal Core and vertical pupil remained in the head, so the attack did not cease.

Moreover, the dark beam grew larger, enveloping Ye Liuyun's entire body. His recovery speed was about to be outpaced by the beam's destruction.

In his critical moment, Ye Liuyun suddenly recalled Wu Qingcheng's Mitian Realm.

【8】 "Never mind, there's no other way; I can only borrow it and give it a try," he thought.

"Never mind, there's no other way; we can only borrow it and give it a try."

So he used his Divine Sense to communicate with Wu Qingcheng and retrieved the Mitian Realm, which had already ascended to Spirit Grade.

"Works as expected!" Ye Liuyun let out a long sigh. The Mitian Realm reflected all the dark beams back, shining onto the Foreign Tribe's head, instantly dissolving it, leaving only a vertical pupil and a Crystal Core.

After the Crystal Core and vertical pupil were dissolved and severed, the Foreign Tribe's attack stopped immediately.

"Too dangerous! I almost died here!" Ye Liuyun, looking at his Physical Body now eroded beyond recognition, couldn't help feeling lingering fear.

"Why has this Eastern Domain become so dangerous! Could it be that every Altar is guarded by Foreign Tribes?" he mused silently.

Now the three-eyed Foreign Tribe had only half its Soul barely clinging on, enduring the onslaught of Ye Liuyun's two Souls and Hell Mingshe's relentless attacks, with little power left to counter.

Ye Liuyun ordered the Skeleton Puppet to retrieve the Foreign Tribe's Crystal Core and vertical pupil, and, together with its corpse, store them in a Storage Ring. He then returned the Mitian Realm to Wu Qingcheng. However, the Invisibility Cloak had been half‑eroded by the dark beams, severely damaged and unusable thereafter!

"Thanks to this Mitian Realm! Otherwise I would have died here today!" Ye Liuyun communicated with Wu Qingcheng via Divine Sense.

He didn't dare release them, fearing they would worry upon seeing his condition.

But when they saw the shadow cloak corroded into this state, they could infer Ye Liuyun's plight and asked him concernedly how he was.

"I'm fine! The enemies are dealt with; I just need a rest!"

Ye Liuyun said, and also gave the Skeleton Puppet a new Spirit Grade long sword. He himself swallowed a Healing Elixir and began healing on the spot.

When the three-eyed Foreign Tribe's Soul was completely devoured, Ye Liuyun turned his attention to further strengthening his Soul.

This time, together with Hell Mingshe, he made great gains; his Soul's power grew further. In the future, confronting the Tian Gang Liu Chong Soul will be much easier for them.

Ye Liuyun estimated that his Soul was now roughly capable of handling a Tian Gang Fourth Layer Martial Cultivator.

"That dark beam was terrifying! My Physical Body is so strong, yet it almost got corroded! Fortunately he didn't fully open the eye!" Ye Liuyun recalled the three-eyed tribe's attack. His Golden Pupil also saw that the Foreign Tribe had not released all its energy, only a small portion.

"Boss, you could also study that vertical pupil! See if you can, like this Foreign Tribe, emit your own thunder fire to attack others, or perhaps refine that vertical pupil," Hell Mingshe suggested.

Ye Liuyun, after its reminder, reacted at once, pulling out the vertical pupil and beginning his study.
