Chapter 3815: Destiny as a Substitute for Death

The life wizard also suddenly sensed something, immediately shouted to the guards, and when he tried to step forward his foot instantly retracted, and with a turn he ran back into the stone hall.

The stone hall's doors also began to close, and the guards around the stone hall rushed out, standing guard at the hall's entrance.

"Don't go in!"

Ye Liuyun, fearing that Zhan Kong had fallen into a trap, did not let him rush into the Grand Hall.

With a "Boom—" sound, the stone hall's doors shut completely; the force heard was considerable, clearly involving a mechanism.

"Kill the guards first!"

Ye Liuyun immediately released several other Kuailei, sending them to help Zhan Kong kill those guards, while Ye Liuyun used his Golden Pupil to lock onto the life wizard.

The Clone Puppet was also released by Ye Liuyun at this moment.

"Try using the Godslaying Bow, see if it can kill this life wizard outright!"

The Clone Puppet, without a word, drew the Godslaying Bow, aimed at the life wizard with its Golden Pupil, and loosed an arrow.

The life wizard sensed the threat, furrowed his brows, and stared at the direction from which the arrow came.

With a "Boom" sound, the arrow from the Godslaying Bow blasted a hole in the stone hall's door, then continued toward the wizard, though its power had greatly weakened.

Ye Liuyun had thought the wizard might dodge, but unexpectedly, he sat down, lowered his head, and began chanting a spell.

Then Ye Liuyun saw the arrow pass through the wizard as if piercing a body condensed of spiritual energy, traversing his interior, yet the wizard was not injured at all.

"What is happening?" Ye Liuyun immediately described the scene to Little Witch.

At that moment, he saw the stone hall's door miraculously repairing itself!

"Could this life wizard also have the ability to restore bodies and objects?" Ye Liuyun asked the poison soul beside him, astonished.

The poison soul shook its head blankly. It did not know what abilities the life wizard possessed; it had never heard of such a skill before.

Little Witch explained to Ye Liuyun: "He must have known he couldn't dodge, using his own destiny to block the arrow. Unfortunately I can't see inside the hall, otherwise I could assess how much destiny he lost after taking the arrow.

Regarding the hall's door, it seems he merged his Cave Heaven World with this stone hall, forming a Defense Artifact. Destiny and vitality can only affect living things, not inanimate objects!"

Hearing this, Ye Liuyun was relieved he hadn't let Zhan Kong enter the stone hall; fighting within the opponent's Cave Heaven World would surely disadvantage Zhan Kong, possibly draining his energy completely.

"Two arrows in succession; I wonder how many arrows his Cave Heaven World can block!"

Ye Liuyun immediately ordered the Clone Puppet to fire two more arrows. The Clone Puppet is now at the Sevenfold Cave Heaven realm; using the Godslaying Bow it can unleash the power of the Seventh Stage of He Dao, so even if the wizard uses his Cave Heaven World to block, it would be a massive drain for him.

The Clone Puppet instantly shot two arrows in a row. Indeed, the stone hall couldn't block even a single arrow; the first arrow blasted a huge hole in the newly repaired door.

Seizing the chance, Ye Liuyun swung Yi Dao, employing Spatial Power so the slash instantly surged into the Grand Hall, following the two arrows.

"Puff!"

This time the wizard finally suffered a backlash, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

Immediately, the two arrows shot through again, passing through his body once more. Ye Liuyun's Golden Pupil saw clearly as fresh blood streamed from the wizard's mouth corner again.

It can be estimated that the three arrows he blocked badly wounded his destiny and Cave Heaven World, and the backlash was severe.

However, Ye Liuyun's slash struck again, still cutting through the wizard's body; the wizard had no real skill, merely using his own destiny to take the blade.

But after forcibly taking Ye Liuyun's slash, he could no longer hold on, collapsing on the ground and spitting another mouthful of blood.

Ye Liuyun and the Clone

The Clone Puppet had no intention of sparing him; it fired two more arrows, while Ye Liuyun swung both arms, delivering two more slashes after the arrows.

This time, the large hole previously blasted in the stone hall hadn't sealed yet, so the two arrows and two slashes struck again.

The wizard could only mutter a Formation, strengthening his defense, while the two arrows again passed through his body.

This time, the wizard clearly trembled from excessive destiny consumption. When Ye Liuyun's first slash came, he could barely deflect most of it. Though the blade still cut through his body, it left a trail of blood upon exiting.

The wizard's back was split open. As for Ye Liuyun's final slash, he no longer had the capacity to receive it; he unleashed his True Essence, trying to block the blade with brute force.

Ye Liuyun's mouth twitched upward, knowing he couldn't block. Indeed, with a "Sss" sound, the slash cleaved his True Essence and then pierced straight through his body.

The wizard was pinned on the spot. After a breath, a line of blood burst from his forehead downwards, the blood line surged wildly, and the body split in two, crashing to the ground.

Ye Liuyun kept his Golden Pupil on him for a while, to prevent any feigned death or resurrection method.

However, the wizard's Soul dissipated and never revived. The stone hall, which had been slowly repairing, also ceased its restoration.

Zhan Kong, at this point, had already eliminated all the guards with his Kuailei, awaiting Ye Liuyun's orders.

"Alright, the wizard is dead, the curse here has dissipated!" Little Witch also noticed the curse vanish.

"Demon King, Bà Tiān, go retrieve that wizard's Yin Soul!" Ye Liuyun instructed the two Yin Soul Kuailei to open the stone hall and draw out the wizard's Yin Soul.

After the stone hall lost its master's control, it opened easily. The two Kuailei dared not rush in; at the entrance they released their Yin Souls, scoured the hall, and pulled out the wizard's Yin Soul.

Fortunately they acted together; alone each would have struggled, as the wizard's Yin Soul was not weak.

Only after Demon King and Bà Tiān devoured the wizard's Yin Soul did Ye Liuyun relax, ordering Zhan Kong to take the entire stone hall away. He still intended to separate the Cave Heaven World and then absorb the Xingqiu.

Among the guards who fought Zhan Kong, there were two exclusive agents of the life wizard; the poison soul recognized them. However, their curses were ineffective against the Kuailei.

Even though they possessed Spiritual Soul Attack curses, the Kuailei's Divine Soul Power was strong, and before their curses could take effect, the people were slain.

Thus, these wizards were so easy to kill: one reason being their inherent weakness, the other that the Kuailei happen to counter them.

However, Ye Liuyun thought the life wizard's survival method was decent and asked Little Witch, "Can I learn his survival technique?"
