Chapter 3916: Speed Unrivaled
The whole warship then began to tremble slightly.
Soon after, everyone felt a wave of dizziness as the warship surged into the void, darting through it at high speed.
After a while of adjusting, they finally recovered. Yet they could not tell how far they had gone, and dared not stop the warship to check their position.
Each time the warship activates, it consumes a great amount of energy, so coasting on inertia can save some.
"Six Primordial Powers consumed!"
"Seven... eight..."
The Metal Puppet piloting the warship kept reporting the energy consumption.
"The rate of consumption..."
The Clone Puppet lamented that the consumption rate was far greater than its own. If it kept draining like this, it would be better to let it serve as transport.
Fortunately, the warship's consumption rate soon dropped, and each Primordial Power lasted longer.
The warship's speed also stabilized; maintaining this pace would make consumption far less than at launch.
Ye Liuyun scanned the outside with his Golden Pupil and saw only a mass of darkness around, occasional streaks like meteors flying past the warship, indistinguishable.
"We have already traveled three days' distance," the Metal Puppet reported to Ye Liuyun.
Consuming this much over three days is considerable. Yet if they keep this speed and consumption, it will still be far less than the Clone Puppet's own travel cost.
"How long until we reach the target star system?" Ye Liuyun asked.
"Three days!" the Metal Puppet replied.
"Then the consumption isn't a problem; using it when we're racing against time is perfectly fine!"
Hearing that, Ye Liuyun finally relaxed.
What would have taken the Clone Puppet nearly a month at full speed could be reached by the warship in just three days.
At this speed, a bit higher consumption is normal.
"Just wait and see the result!"
Everyone watched anxiously, waiting to see if they could arrive on schedule.
Sun Que, Tong Xin and other artificers were also aboard, inspecting the warship's systems, while Ye Liuyun need not stay and returned to the Cave Heaven World to cultivate.
After two and a half days, Ye Liuyun returned to the cockpit.
The warship must begin decelerating early; without early slowdown it might not stop at all, or would require massive energy to halt.
During deceleration they felt nothing noticeable, only the warship's power output ceased.
But Ye Liuyun's Golden Pupil made the surrounding void clearer. The earlier streak that skimmed the warship like a meteor was likely a lingering object in the void.
When the warship burst out of the void, everyone felt a slight tremor.
Immediately, Ye Liuyun's Golden Pupil spotted the opposite star system, only a day away.
"Activate the conventional propulsion system."
At that moment the Metal Puppet also engaged the same propulsion system as a regular warship.
"The warship contains two propulsion systems: one for normal navigation and defense, the other designed specifically for void traversal," Sun Que and the other artificers explained to Ye Liuyun.
"You've really been put to the test!"
Ye Liuyun knew they had poured much effort into designing the warship; he himself could never have devised something so complex.
At this normal speed the warship sailed toward the star system occupied by the Faction, yet saw no patrols.
By normal speed calculations, Ye Liuyun's party could hardly have arrived this quickly.
Thus their Martial Cultivators and troops were still gathering, and no evil creatures had been dispatched for patrol.
Only when Ye Liuyun's warship drew near did they notice it.
Ye Liuyun didn't wait for them to act; he summoned the Hell Gate first, letting the Asura unleash a massive Yin Soul army.
This time the Asura deployed three million Yin Souls, attacking on multiple fronts, and the entire star system was again shrouded in a deathly shadow.. ghxsw.
From afar it was just a mass of Black Fog, with nothing inside visible.
Three days later the whole star system was wiped out completely, not even a single escaped evil creature. All resources and corpses were gathered by the Yin Souls into a Storage Ring and handed to Ye Liuyun for distribution.
"That's… no need to pursue such perfection; let the low‑level evil creatures run away."
Ye Liuyun thought it excessive and ordered the Asura to stop the blockade, giving the low‑level evil creatures a chance to flee.
"Yes!"
The Asura merely followed orders, cancelling the blockade; any evil creatures below the Cave Heaven Realm that fled need not be dealt with.
After receiving the news, the Faction's Elders hurriedly convened the clan's elders to discuss a response.
"When did we offend the Underworld?" Most of the elders didn't even think the Underworld's Yin Souls were connected to Ye Liuyun.
"The Underworld's Yin Soul army is too powerful; it wiped out a star system in three days, we can't stand against it!"
"Indeed, even sending an evil‑worshiping legion would be useless; we can't defeat those Yin Souls, they're too many and not weak!"
"Either surrender or rally the whole clan to resist!"
"What about the Demon Race? Ignore them? They'll just come to kill us!"
Everyone chattered but reached no conclusion.
"Stop debating; send someone to talk and see what they demand."
Clan Chief Mo Yuhan interrupted the meaningless bickering.
They simply cannot muster the whole clan against the Yin Soul army, or the watchful Demon Race would seize the chance to strike.
Thus they have no choice but to negotiate for peace.
Mo Yuhan added: "And we must act quickly! Their movement is so fast it seems they don't even need to travel through the starry sky; after conquering a planet they rest a few days and can wage war again.
If we're not swift, people on several star systems could vanish quickly."
The elders immediately assigned a nearby star system, tasking the local leader with negotiations, and gave a death‑order to be humble and first learn the Yin Souls' demands.
Just after Ye Liuyun and his group appeared in another Xing Xi aboard a void Warship, the Yin Soul army had just emerged, and the evil entity in charge of negotiations on the other side arrived.
"You negotiate with them, don't mention me. I guess they're about to surrender. Ask for some resources, and then have them cede half of the eastern Xing Xi. If they refuse, keep fighting."
Ye Liuyun never showed up; instead he let the Yin Soul negotiate with them.
The Faction thought those Yin Souls were not allied with Ye Liuyun, but were a separate enemy group.
Asura, however, does not want the other side to surrender; its Yin Soul army has only emerged a few times and hasn't had enough fights yet.
But the Faction cannot afford the losses; its members are being wiped out Xing Xi by Xing Xi, and under pressure they can only agree to all the conditions Asura put forward.
