Chapter 3926: Petty Exclusion

For a moment, everyone fell silent. The Demon Race truly could not withstand Ye Liuyun's onslaught.

"I have a plan!". ghxsw.

A Demon Race with a triangular head stepped forward and suggested: "We could have Yan Tang treat him as an honored guest and invite him to the Demon Race, then we strike suddenly at the banquet, catching him off guard!"

"Impossible, Ye Liuyun's Sea of Consciousness contains a Defense Artifact; Spiritual Soul Attack won't work." Yan Tang immediately rejected the suggestion.

"Who says we must use Spiritual Soul Attack? We can use poison, mix poisonous gas into Demon Qi; he won't notice. By the time he does, he'll have no strength to resist."

The triangular‑headed demon immediately retorted.

That demon is named Chang Wei, whose strength ranks just below Yan Tang among his peers and is a leader among the younger demons. He often opposes Yan Tang, and now that he has a chance, he'll certainly strike while the iron is hot.

"Yan Tang, you aren't sparing the blow because you've befriended that Human Race, are you? This is a matter that decides the Demon Race's future development; you can't sabotage it for personal reasons, can you?"

Chang Wei seized the opportunity to sneer at Yan Tang.

Fan Tian and the other Demon Race Elders glanced at Yan Tang, evidently persuaded, fearing that Yan Tang was deliberately refusing to let them act against Ye Liuyun.

Yan Tang held his breath inwardly, yet could not show it before the Clan Chief and Elders.

He could only say: "I'm merely voicing my own opinion. As for the final decision, it is entirely up to the Clan Chief; I will absolutely obey the arrangement!"

The Clan Chief Fan Tian then withdrew his gaze, awaiting the other Elders' resolutions.

"I think this plan is workable. But to prevent accidents, we can also mobilize the Mo Luo Army and have them ambush around the banquet."

If they resist, we will suppress them outright with force. Then have Lang Zu also ready to strike; together we won't be afraid of their Kuailei.

The other Elders, enticed by the huge benefits, also agreed to the proposal.

Fan Tian actually shared the same thought and readily went along.

Then the Clan Chief and Elders turned their gaze back to Yan Tang.

"What should I do? Since the decision has been made and the Clan Chief has given orders, just assign me whatever!"

Yan Tang felt deeply uneasy about this decision, thinking these people were gambling with the Demon Race's fate.

Nevertheless, this matter was beyond his say; he could only obey the Clan Chief's command.

"Yan Tang, you aren't secretly informing Ye Liuyun to sabotage our plan, are you?" Chang Wei at this moment began to press Yan Tang again.

Yan Tang let out a low growl; for a petty creature like Chang Wei, he could no longer tolerate him.

But the Clan Chief spoke at that moment.

"Yan Tang, for now do not leave the clan's base; use this time to cultivate and increase your strength—when Ye Liuyun arrives, you may still be needed to act."

Leave the task of inviting Ye Liuyun to Chang Wei. That idea was his, so naturally he should take the risk.

Yan Tang also understood that Chang Wei's provocation had indeed taken effect.

The Clan Chief, appearing concerned, framed the task as dangerous, but in reality confined him within the clan to prevent him from transmitting messages.

But this was fine; he also did not wish to betray Ye Liuyun.

"Alright. Then I'll go to the clan's back mountain to cultivate soon!"

Yan Tang readily agreed, limiting his activities to the Demon Race's rear mountain so that no leaked information would be blamed on him.

"Good!" the Clan Chief nodded approvingly.

Yan Tang immediately left the Grand Hall. As they discussed the details of luring Ye Liuyun, he stayed silent to avoid suspicion.

After leaving, he rushed to a Cave in the Demon Race's rear mountain to cultivate, and did not emerge thereafter. The rear mountain was not far from the Grand Hall; he trusted the Clan Chief and some Elders would monitor his movements with Divine Sense.

Sure enough, the Clan Chief's Divine Sense saw Yan Tang enter the Cave, then consulted Chang Wei on the details of how to act.

Ye Liuyun's Flying Boat sailed smoothly into Demon Race territory. Even as he passed straight through the Faction's defenses, no one dared to block him.

But once he entered Demon Race territory, he immediately concealed the Flying Boat into the void, making it vanish. The Demon Race, intending to contact Ye Liuyun, even dispatched several Demon Race members with strong Spatial Power, yet none could locate his trace.

Shortly after, the Demon Race's front line was ambushed, and the attacker was a Faction strongman of the Sixth Stage of He Dao, who on the spot killed two Demon Race strongmen of the Fifth Stage of He Dao.

The ambusher was Mo Lin. Afterwards he struck repeatedly, each time precisely eliminating several Demon Race strongmen before withdrawing immediately.

Before each strike, Ye Liuyun and his clones, Long Nv and others had already scouted the surroundings and the Demon Race's strength.

He didn't aim to wipe out too many Demon Race forces at once, only to avoid detection and cause panic among them.

Regarding acting against the Demon Race, Mo Lin was very eager. Though he had been captured by the Human Race, helping the Faction this way was still better than doing nothing.

Thus Mo Lin cooperated fully. Even the evil entities in Zhenmo Tower were eager for a chance to act.

The news spread quickly; both the Demon Race and the Faction learned that Mo Lin was not dead.

For the Faction, this was undeniably uplifting news. Their strongest member not only survived but penetrated Demon Race territory, killing Demon Race strongmen and creating opportunities to defeat the Demon Race.

But for the Demon Race, this gave them a headache. They had prepared to fully confront Ye Liuyun, yet unexpectedly a Mo Lin appeared.

He was a Sixth Stage of He Dao strongman, whose destructive power was immense and whose whereabouts were hard to trace.

Chang Wei seized the chance to file a complaint against Yan Tang, claiming he had been lax when capturing Mo Lin, thus giving Mo Lin time to recover.

He wants to replace Yan Tang, leading a team of Demon Race strongmen to hunt Mo Lin.

If the Clan Chief agrees to his request and lets him lead a team of Demon Race strongmen, it shows the Clan Chief acknowledges his status, allowing his reputation to gradually surpass Yan Tang.

But the Demon Race Clan Chief Fan Tian was not foolish; although he also guarded against Yan Tang leaking to Ye Liuyun, he still trusted Yan Tang, knowing he would not shirk when capturing evil entities.

Thus he only assigned an Elder to lead the hunt for Mo Lin, letting Chang Wei focus on Ye Liuyun, stating that Ye Liuyun's matter was more important.

Chang Wei, of course, knew he was not yet fully valued by the Clan Chief, so he could only prepare thoroughly to achieve a great merit in the Ye Liuyun affair.

If, thanks to his advice and actions, Ye Liuyun is captured, he will have earned a great merit for the Demon Race. Then even if the Clan Chief remains skeptical, he must acknowledge his achievement and grant him greater authority.

But now Ye Liuyun has suddenly vanished, giving him a headache. He has sent strongmen several times to search for Ye Liuyun's whereabouts, yet there is still no news.
