"Fang Huatian, Liao Bingyu? Your Ice Fire Sect arrived quite early!" Xiao Mingyue said with a hint of meaning.

"We were just scouting the path. Senior Brother Fang has been deeply devoted to Miss Xiao, insisting on waiting until you arrived before taking action," Liao Bingyu's coquettish voice rang out, full of jealousy.

"Is that so?" Xiao Mingyue retorted, "I thought you were afraid the loss would be too great to act on your own!"

"Mingyue, don't misunderstand, we truly were waiting for you!" Fang Huatian hurriedly explained to Xiao Mingyue.

At that moment, disciples of the Three Origins Sect surged forward to greet Xiao Mingyue, and she promptly led the Three Origins Sect members away, avoiding those two from the Ice Fire Sect.

Ye Liuyun intended to follow Xiao Mingyue, but a Three Origins Sect disciple stopped him. "You're an outsider; don't join our ranks. We have something to discuss with senior sister, not convenient for you to hear."

Ye Liuyun glanced at him and discovered he was a Yin‑Yang dual Martial Cultivator. From his gaze, one could see this person was extremely wary of him.

"If I'm not going, then I'm not going; at least I get some peace!"

Saying that, he found a spot, sat down, closed his eyes, and began cultivating.

After the Three Origins Sect gathered, someone immediately described the situation. To prevent outsiders from hearing, Xiao Mingyue used Divine Sense and True Essence to erect a barrier space, shielding against probing.

Yet Ye Liuyun was not worried at all. Qing Lin had a Divine Soul Contract with him; whatever Qing Lin heard or saw could be shared with him.

"Senior sister, the Ice Fire Sect deployed the divination plate artifact, tracing the energy source of this Secret Realm to the mountain opposite. The passage entrance lies behind that pile of stones," the Three Origins Sect disciple who had blocked Ye Liuyun reported to Xiao Mingyue.

"Damn! These people actually have an artifact that can locate that Cave. Xueer's position has been exposed!"

Ye Liuyun thought internally, "Damn," and paid even closer attention to their conversation.

Xiao Mingyue asked, "Li Qingfeng, is the information reliable? Then why haven't they acted yet?"

"Since entering this Secret Realm, I've been following them and haven't misread anything. I guess they're afraid the loss would be heavy, so they dare not act rashly, preferring everyone to contribute some effort!" Li Qingfeng replied.

Xiao Mingyue nodded and asked again, "What should we do? Given the situation, we can only cooperate; we can't monopolize it."

"Alright, I'll go find Fang Huatian to discuss cooperation!" Xiao Mingyue said.

"Not yet." Li Qingfeng stopped Xiao Mingyue, asking, "What will you do with that outsider kid?"

"Take him back to the Sect and see what the Elders think later!" Xiao Mingyue voiced her thought.

"If we can destroy the energy source of this Secret Realm, the Elders can all enter later. This kid actually isn't of much use," Li Qingfeng hinted.

He had a premonition that upon seeing Ye Liuyun, danger loomed.

"Let's observe first. If we end up battling the Ice Fire Sect, we might still find him useful."

Xiao Mingyue didn't want to deal with Ye Liuyun so early, feeling it unnecessary.

Li Qingfeng read the situation, saw Xiao Mingyue reluctant to eliminate Ye Liuyun, and immediately went along, "Alright then! But in our actions, try to keep him out, lest he cause trouble."

Xiao Mingyue and Li Qingfeng had already gone to Fang Huatian and Liao Bingyu, discussing forcing Night Demon Sect disciples to act as cannon fodder. Soon they reached agreement and walked toward those Night Demon Sect disciples together. Disciples of both sects gradually surrounded them.

Seeing this formation, the Night Demon Sect disciples grew nervous.

"What are you doing?" a Demon Cultivator asked warily. "We'll discuss matters when our Star Sword Demon Emperor arrives."

"He can't come!" Fang Huatian said lightly, "I'll give you a chance to survive! Behind that pile of stones is a Cave; go scout the path, you might even find some treasure!"

"What do you mean?" the Demon Cultivator asked, puzzled.

"Just the literal meaning!" Fang Huatian stared coldly at the Demon Cultivator.

Xiao Mingyue added, "The Star Sword Demon Emperor is dead, and the Eternal Night Demon Emperor is dead too. You have no choice. Either follow them to death, or take a gamble; you might still gain something!"

"What? Impossible? You could kill the Star Sword Demon Emperor?" the Demon Cultivator shouted in disbelief.

But instantly his expression froze, and a layer of frost covered his body.

"What a racket! Don't you think, if they don't die, how could we let you be cannon fodder?" Liao Bingyu said while clapping her hands. Clearly she had just made the move.

The frozen Demon Cultivator was their leader. With his death, the remaining ones dared even less to resist.

"The Star Sword Demon Emperor is probably truly dead, eighty to ninety percent. Otherwise these people wouldn't act so ruthlessly!" Upon this, the Demon Cultivators helplessly accepted their fate.

They now have no choice but to become cannon fodder.

Seeing this, Ye Liuyun grew anxious; he currently had no good way to stop them.

"Don't rush; the Secret Realm has some basic defenses that can hold them off for a while," Qing Lin warned Ye Liuyun with Divine Sense, fearing he might jump out to fight them head‑on.
