Chapter 598: The Annihilation of the Flame Palace

For the remaining two days, they grilled meat and chatted on the Flying Boat.

After the Du family was completely frozen, the news spread quickly.

The Du family was one of the three great Eye‑Pupil clans of the entire Cangyun Continent, and they were utterly annihilated!

That was certainly news that shocked everyone.

When Ye Liuyun acted, he did not deliberately hide his identity. So quickly, the news of Ye Liuyun wiping out the Du family began to spread across the Cangyun Continent.

Those who had originally intended to challenge Ye Liuyun's inheritance immediately abandoned the idea.

Moreover, when the news of the Iron Eagle Sect leader's return spread, these people dared even less to provoke Ye Liuyun.

They even warned the trouble‑making younger members of the clan not to provoke Ye Liuyun and bring disaster upon the family.

In an instant, Golden Pupil Ye Liuyun became a dreaded killing star.

At this moment, Ye Liuyun was piloting the Flying Boat and arrived at the Flame Palace.

After reaching the Flame Palace, Ye Liuyun did not act immediately; instead, he waited at a spot not far from the palace for Elder Yan Jiu to return.

He calculated the time; their speed on the Flying Boat should be faster than Yan Jiu's. So he would wait for Yan Jiu to come back before acting, lest his move appear baseless.

A day later, Ye Liuyun finally saw Elder Yan Jiu return to the Flame Palace.

"Let's go, it's our turn to appear! This Flame Palace, whose disciples are all arrogant and unruly, should be eliminated!"

Speaking thus, Ye Liuyun halted the Flying Boat, gathered his companions, and charged straight at the Flame Palace.

The Skeleton Puppet, under Ye Liuyun's command, rushed straight into the Flame Palace's council Grand Hall. Upon seeing the Elder, it acted without hesitation, striking with sword and axe, each blow lethal. At the peak of the Yin‑Yang Realm, no one could withstand its attacks.

Elder Yan Jiu, just back to the Sect, was immediately caught in a sect crisis and fought his way out.

The Flame Palace master also spoke, asking, "Who are you? What grudge do you hold against my Flame Palace, coming up and delivering a killing blow?"

Ye Liuyun replied loudly, "My name is Ye Liuyun. I stormed the Flame Palace because Yan Jiu attacked the Iron Eagle Sect; I am merely returning the favor. However, Elder Yan Jiu is cowardly and did not dare act against the Iron Eagle Sect. I am different; I will annihilate your Flame Palace and make you pay!"

Ye Liuyun's voice echoed throughout the Flame Palace. The two cultivators, Lie Hong Xia and Lie Hong Yun, who were recuperating in their quarters, were startled and leapt from their beds.

"He stormed the Flame Palace?" Lie Hong Yun exclaimed excitedly.

"How could this be? Our master didn't even confront him, and he still dares to storm our Flame Palace?" Lie Hong Xia muttered.

"Yan Jiu? Is that true?" the Flame Palace master asked Yan Jiu.

"Your Majesty, Ye Liuyun eliminated two of my disciples and obtained a powerful inheritance, so I intended to go to the Iron Eagle Sect to capture him and avenge my disciples," Yan Jiu explained.

She deliberately emphasized that Ye Liuyun had obtained the inheritance. Upon hearing this, the Flame Palace master understood her intent. However, this time Yan Jiu messed up.

"Then why didn't you capture him, and instead he came here to kill?" the master asked coldly.

"The Iron Eagle Sect's Ma leader was present at the time, and his injuries had fully healed, so I dared not act and returned directly. Yet as soon as I entered the gate, Ye Liuyun stormed in," Yan Jiu said without concealment.

The master, hearing this, looked at Ye Liuyun and asked, "According to Elder Yan Jiu, she didn't do anything to you, did she?"

"Is that so? By your words, I could just come over, scold you a couple of times and leave without harming you, and you wouldn't pursue it?" Ye Liuyun retorted.

"Audacious! Our master is not someone you can compare with!" Yan Jiu shouted scoldingly.

"Kill her!" Ye Liuyun ordered the Skeleton Puppet to strike at Yan Jiu.

"I will definitely slay this shrew today; anyone who blocks will be killed!"

"Who do you call a shrew?" Yan Jiu, facing the Skeleton Puppet, still argued with Ye Liuyun.

"Young Master Ye, may I say a word?" the Flame Palace master, feeling the Skeleton Puppet's terrifying pressure, dared not act rashly.

She could only urge Ye Liuyun to stand down first, then think of a way to protect Yan Jiu.

Yan Jiu is the strongest Elder of their Flame Palace and its flagship. If Yan Jiu dies, the Flame Palace's reputation will plummet.

"All together!"

Ye Liuyun gave her no chance to negotiate terms, immediately rallying everyone to start killing.

Ye Liuyun, Lei Ming, Wu Qingcheng, and Long Nv—three of them—were all at the ninth tier of the Heavenly Gang Realm; even against the Flame Palace Elders they were formidable. Moreover, their weapons were divine armaments, so they were at no disadvantage in battle.

Especially Ye Liuyun's Mourning Bell, one covering each, took down two Flame Palace Elders in two strikes.

During the battle, Ye Liuyun also hurled the Magic Vine, letting it join the attack on some Heavenly Gang Realm strongmen of the Flame Palace.

Elder Yan Jiu, fighting the Skeleton Puppet, unleashed his full Fire Flame Power to resist it.

But the Skeleton Puppet, modified by Qing Lin, had no defense; it surged through Yan Jiu's flames and pierced his chest with a single sword.

Then it cleaved with an axe, sending Yan Jiu's head elsewhere.

The once invincible Elder Yan Jiu could not even face the overwhelming power and perished.

Moreover, she not only doomed herself but also brought disaster upon the Flame Palace.

"Ah! Elder Yan Jiu!" Some Elders, seeing Yan Jiu fall in two blows to the Skeleton Puppet, exclaimed in shock.

The Skeleton Puppet did not pause, and rushed straight at the shouting Elder.

The Elder turned to flee, but the Skeleton Puppet's pressure locked him in place, then an axe cleaved him in half.

Seeing this, the Flame Palace master couldn't help shouting, "Ye Liuyun, why are you slaughtering so wildly?"

"I will show you the consequence of crossing me! Today is the day the Flame Palace falls!"

Ye Liuyun said calmly as another Mourning Bell covered a rushing Elder. At the same time, his Guardian God Seal, Primordial War God, and Yi Dao slashed toward a distant Flame Palace Elder.

The Flame Palace disciples below the Heavenly Gang Realm watched from afar, their hearts raging as Elders fell one by one.

In their minds, the invincible Elders and the massive Flame Palace proved utterly vulnerable before the strong.

"Never offend the strong!" At that moment, that was the only thought in their hearts.
