Chapter 721: Treasure Allocation

Ye Liuyun also slowly walked into the Artifact Hall, and at the same time reminded the others: "The artifact spirit inside the Divine Artifact is an Alien Evil Artifact, extremely contaminating. Once it enters the Sea of Consciousness, it will directly pollute the entire Sea of Consciousness and the Soul, and then take control."

Ye Liuyun said, picking up a Divine Artifact Fragment from the ground and striking the Mourning Bell with it.

Boom.

The Mourning Bell was smashed. Ye Liuyun's Divine Sense also detected that the artifact spirit inside had been destroyed.

However, the black gas attached to that artifact spirit persisted without dispersing.

Ye Liuyun frowned and dared not open the Mourning Bell, fearing the black gas would continue to contaminate others.

"What's wrong?" Mo Yang, seeing his expression change, asked aloud.

"The artifact spirit was indeed destroyed. But that black gas that can contaminate people's Souls is still present; I dare not retrieve the treasure, fearing it would continue to pollute others."

Ye Liuyun thought for a moment, then immediately released Nether Ghost Fire to try burning that black gas.

The trial proved effective, but the speed was slow; to burn it completely clean also required some time.

After roughly half an hour, after repeatedly checking that everything was correct, Ye Liuyun finally retrieved the Mourning Bell.

During this time, no one dared to move recklessly. They all waited, watching whether Ye Liuyun could actually deal with the black gas.

Inside the Mourning Bell, a mass of Nether Ghost Fire still enveloped the remaining strand of black gas.

The others looked on curiously.

The black gas seemed to possess some sentience, darting left and right, trying to escape the Nether Ghost Fire's enclosure.

The others at this moment were fully convinced by Ye Liuyun's words! Such a gaseous thing, being extremely contaminating, is extremely hard for them to deal with. No matter how they strike it, they cannot eliminate it.

Mo Yang, now curious about Ye Liuyun's Nether Ghost Fire, asked, "What kind of flame is this?"

"It is a special ghost fire, particularly effective against such dark things. However, this black gas isn't ordinarily hard to deal with. If it were other monsters, it would have turned to ash long ago!"

Ye Liuyun said, manipulating the Nether Ghost Fire to burn the last strand of black gas completely before withdrawing the Nether Ghost Fire.

At that moment, he had already absorbed all the Earth Core True Flame from the furnace.

The others merely watched Ye Liuyun handle the Nether Ghost Fire.

Mo Yang noticed that Ye Liuyun was simultaneously manipulating the Nether Ghost Fire to extinguish the black gas and absorbing the furnace flame, but since he did not need the flame's power, he remained silent.

He was scheming in his mind: since Ye Liuyun has this ability, seizing the other two treasures would still depend on Ye Liuyun.

It wasn't until Ye Liuyun had withdrawn the Nether Ghost Fire that someone noticed the furnace flame had gone out, immediately exclaiming that a ghost had appeared.

Ye Liuyun merely smiled and ignored it.

At this point, Mo Yang used Transmission Voice to discuss seizing the Divine Artifact with Ye Liuyun.

"Junior Brother Ye, since you have this ability, can you also retrieve the other two Divine Artifacts? You've already taken one Divine Artifact and the flame; taking one of the remaining two for me isn't unreasonable, right?"

Mo Yang's request wasn't high—just one Divine Artifact.

"Alright. Which one do you want?" Ye Liuyun promptly agreed.

If he refused, Mo Yang might rally everyone against him, which would be troublesome. Moreover, they were the ones who discovered it first, so Mo Yang's request for a share wasn't excessive.

"I want that lamp." Mo Yang doesn't need weapons, relying solely on his fists; long swords and axes are useless, so he chose that lamp. Though he doesn't know its function, at least it's a Divine Artifact, so it shouldn't be too bad.

"Alright, then I'll first retrieve that axe! But what about the others?" Ye Liuyun asked.

Mo Yang did not reply to Ye Liuyun, but publicly asked: "Everyone now knows the situation; these Divine Artifacts aren't something everyone can handle. So Brother Ye and I have decided that we will take these two treasures and split them evenly.

If any of you can retrieve them, you may try first. After you've tried, please have no further objections."

Ye Liuyun nodded, thinking this was fair enough.

Hearing that, most people simply withdrew, not wasting time here.

Some thought that since the treasure was already on Mo Yang's mind, even if they obtained it, they probably couldn't keep it, so they left directly, rushing to other places to search for treasures.

A few bold ones tried to use some treasures and other items to retrieve the Divine Artifact, but their treasure levels were too low to fit into the Divine Artifact, so they gave up.

Another disciple daringly attempted to retrieve that axe, but was contaminated and was instantly blasted to death by Mo Yang.

Ye Liuyun again used the same method, retrieved the axe, and then destroyed that artifact spirit and the black gas.

At this point, everyone realized those two Divine Artifacts weren't attainable for them, so they all withdrew, leaving only Ye Liuyun, Mo Yang, and a few others.

This time, Ye Liuyun directly placed the Mourning Bell over that lamp, picked up another Divine Artifact Fragment and smashed the Mourning Bell again, instantly destroying the artifact spirit, then used Nether Ghost Fire to burn away the black gas, leaving the remaining Divine Artifact for Mo Yang.

"Thank you, Junior Brother Ye!"

After securing the Divine Artifact, Mo Yang thanked Ye Liuyun.

"You're welcome! I also need to thank Senior Brother Mo for overseeing the whole situation; otherwise the other junior brothers would have been jealous!" Ye Liuyun replied courteously.

"Haha, it's cooperation! Without you, I couldn't have obtained this Divine Artifact!"

Mo Yang's words were indeed very fair.

However, he added, "But this cooperation might not happen next time! We'll have to rely on ourselves!"

Ye Liuyun also nodded: "Of course!"

It seems Mo Yang doesn't wish to become close with him; this was just a single cooperation.

Mo Yang's strength was indeed not weak; as soon as he acted, Ye Liuyun already felt his power surpassing his own.

It's only that Ye Liuyun has many tactics and isn't afraid of him.

The two bid each other farewell and went their separate ways.

Before leaving, Ye Liuyun gathered a good number of Divine Artifact Fragments from the ground, keeping them for future strikes on the Mourning Bell.

Lei Ming didn't think much and complained to Ye Liuyun: "We gave him one Divine Artifact, and he still won't accept it. He'll keep contesting us in the future!"

Ye Liuyun smiled indifferently: "He can persuade the crowd, which counts as some effort. Otherwise, if he rallied everyone against us, that would be a troublesome matter!"

"Those people have no ability, can't retrieve it themselves, yet they dare to snatch it from us, right?" Lei Ming asked Ye Liuyun, then added, "If that's the case, let them fight over it; we'll get a good fight!"

Ye Liuyun patiently explained to her: "They outnumber us, putting us at a disadvantage! And returning to the Sect, it would be hard to explain. It's just one Divine Artifact; don't dwell on it!"

Speaking that, Ye Liuyun led them onward to search for the next target.

They still had more than ten days left in the Secret Realm; if they moved quickly, they could still find more valuable items.
