Chapter 816: Taming the Ghost Butterfly

"Young master, this transparent dome is a gift from our auction. It can block Spiritual Soul Attacks. When you open it, be sure to watch out for its Spiritual Soul Attack."

The Steward, when handing the Ghost Butterfly to Ye Liuyun, specifically warned him, lest he rashly open the dome and let the butterfly attack from inside.

"Alright, thank you!"

Ye Liuyun said thanks, and then directly, together with the dome, collected the Ghost Butterfly.

The next auction items were several divine artifacts, and the competition grew even fiercer.

The Princess did not participate in any further auctions.

Ye Liuyun bid for another long spear, paying over a hundred million Spirit Stones.

Bai Hu's divine artifact is a sword, which he has been using. Ye Liuyun also knew he preferred a long spear, so when the chance arose, he simply bid it down for him.

"He even has money to bid for divine artifacts!" the Martial Cultivators in the hall, along with the Princess, Chang Wanshan and others, were somewhat shocked.

"How many Spirit Stones does this kid have in his hand!" some people muttered enviously.

Ye Liuyun, however, didn't care at all about what they said.

He is now, following the method taught by Qiong Qi, taming that Ghost Butterfly.

The Ghost Butterfly is currently trapped inside the dome, unable to attack him, making it the perfect moment to tame it.

"Use Nether Ghost Fire to encircle the dome, scare it first! If you see it curl its wings, that means it's softened," Qiong Qi explained to Ye Liuyun.

"After it softens, how do you capture it? What if it still doesn't submit?" Ye Liuyun asked.

Qiong Qi continued: "If it softens, give it some Magic Crystals or Spirit Stones to feed it; once it eats, you then sign a Divine Soul Contract with it, and it will immediately recognize you as master.

If it doesn't submit, then use spatial power to send Nether Ghost Fire to its side to scare it until it softens."

"It's so small—what if we just burn it away?" Ye Liuyun worried. Looking at the Ghost Butterfly's size, a single flame could turn it to ash.

Qiong Qi laughed: "Don't worry, the Ghost Butterfly is highly intelligent; it's not foolish! If it still won't soften, just burn it outright!"

Ye Liuyun, hearing this, followed Qiong Qi's instructions and proceeded.

First, Nether Ghost Fire circled the transparent dome.

When the Ghost Butterfly saw the Nether Ghost Fire, it curled half its wings. But seeing the flames outside the dome, unable to reach inside, it immediately spread its wings again.

Its tiny eyes, through the glass dome, released a Spiritual Soul Attack toward Ye Liuyun's Divine Sense.

"Little thing, its intelligence is really high!"

Ye Liuyun smiled, using spatial power to send the Nether Ghost Fire into the dome, though it didn't directly scorch the Ghost Butterfly.

The Ghost Butterfly instantly, frightened, curled its body and fully folded its wings, daring not to move.

Ye Liuyun immediately withdrew the Nether Ghost Fire and tossed in a few Magic Crystals.

The Ghost Butterfly glanced around, saw no danger, then pounced onto the Magic Crystals and absorbed them directly.

Then Ye Liuyun used Nether Ghost Fire again to encircle the dome before slowly opening it.

Ye Liuyun communicated with the Ghost Butterfly via Divine Sense, signing a Master-Servant Contract; everything proceeded very smoothly.

While the Ghost Butterfly was being tamed, the auction had not yet ended, and the crowd was still scrambling for divine artifacts.

"Master, I'll soon reach the Respectful Stage and need a lot of energy!" the Ghost Butterfly transmitted to Ye Liuyun.

Once they signed the Divine Soul Contract, communication could occur through Divine Sense, with no language barrier.

"Don't worry, the energy is ready for you. I'll give it to you after I finish the auction," Ye Liuyun also knew the importance of letting it advance its realm, so he wouldn't delay.

"By the way, I also found a mate for you; want to meet? It's a Ghost Butterfly of the same realm as you. It's a female!" Ye Liuyun thought it best to discuss it with the butterfly first.

"Thank you, Master. But if my realm isn't higher than yours, it will eat me! My realm must be higher than yours," the Ghost Butterfly replied.

"You don't intend to eat it, do you?" Ye Liuyun asked, a bit worried.

"No. Only when the female's realm exceeds the male's will she eat the male after mating!" the Ghost Butterfly explained.

"The customs of this Ghost Butterfly are really…" Ye Liuyun had nothing to say.

He has a Divine Soul Contract with the Ghost Butterfly, knowing it won't deceive him.

"Alright then, let's first work on advancing our realms."

After saying that, Ye Liuyun went to tell Qiong Qi: "The Ghost Butterfly is already tamed. It was actually quite easy!"

"Indeed, and it doesn't matter who gave you the idea!" Qiong Qi began bragging again.

"Let me tell you something, I reached an agreement with the Princess…"

Ye Liuyun also told Qiong Qi about the agreement he made with the Princess.

"You kid's luck in love is really shallow! So quickly you've already hooked up with the Princess? Going to breed? How could I not run into such a good thing!" Qiong Qi exclaimed.

Ye Liuyun, irritated by Qiong Qi's nonsense, retorted: "What are you babbling about! It's the Ghost Butterfly that's breeding, not us!"

"What's the difference? You have no woman around you now, I get it—young people are full of energy…"

Before Qiong Qi could finish, Ye Liuyun cut off the Divine Sense link with him, too lazy to listen to his chatter.

When the auction finally ended, the Princess sent a Transmission Voice to Ye Liuyun's Divine Sense.

"Go back and prepare first; later I'll send someone to find you. Rest assured, you're now a distinguished guest of our Commandery Prince's Mansion, no one dares to touch you!"

After speaking, the Princess also assigned a golden‑armored guard to accompany Ye Liuyun and his party.

"So this kid actually knows the Princess!" some people remarked.

Those who had planned to probe Ye Liuyun's background immediately abandoned the idea.

Chang Wanshan helplessly glanced at Ye Liuyun, then left with his men.

"Your new wife isn't bad, she knows how to protect you!" Qiong Qi joked on the side.

"Don't blurt that out, or the Princess might hear and cut out your tongue! Hurry back and handle your proper business!"

Ye Liuyun ignored Qiong Qi's teasing and urged him to return quickly to deal with those Foreign Tribe corpses.

Although Qiong Qi's words were improper, he was fairly proactive with tasks and didn't delay, immediately following Ye Liuyun back to their residence.

Both of them returned to Xuan Kong Shi and began to get busy.

After ten days, the six high-ranking souls were all taken by Ye Liuyun into the Hundred-Refined Soul Banner for nurturing.

The foreign tribe soul that was previously collected is now used for combat. He had tried to release it.

That foreign tribe's soul is very powerful; he and Qiong Qi are no match for it.

"This time dealing with those people from Nether Hell should be fine, right?" Qiong Qi asked, satisfied.
