Chapter 872: Beating the Opponent to Tears

"Yo ho! Looks like Yutianxiang recovered by taking pills!" Ye Liuyun laughed as he stepped out, and rushed straight to the training ground.

Yuan Datou, Liang Xinyu and the others immediately followed out.

"You recovered so quickly?" After stepping onto the platform, Ye Liuyun saw Yutianxiang looking radiant again and guessed he had been taking a lot of pills.

At least he must have taken pills that replenish True Essence and heal wounds to get back to this state.

"How despicable! Recovering with pills and then immediately challenging!" Liang Xinyu scoffed.

"Hehe, the victor becomes king, the loser a bandit! Ye Liuyun, you didn't expect this, did you? Let me see how much True Essence you have!" Yutianxiang said, launching the first attack on Ye Liuyun.

"I'm ready to accompany you anytime!" Ye Liuyun smiled, countered, and the two stood opposite each other again.

In the end it was the same: Yutianxiang's True Essence ran out, and he was wounded and defeated by Ye Liuyun.

"Impossible! How could your True Essence recover so fast!" Yutianxiang spat frothy blood, roaring in resentment.

"Stop shouting! Go back and take your medicine!" Ye Liuyun waved his hand at him,

and returned to his residence.

"How did you recover so fast? Did you take pills?" Liang Xinyu asked, puzzled.

"I'm not that wealthy. We just spar normally; no need to waste pills!" Ye Liuyun said breezily, then went back to continue cultivating.

Yutianxiang, still unwilling, took pills to heal his wounds and came to find Ye Liuyun again.

He was beaten again!

"Yutianxiang, do you have a tendency to get beaten?" Ye Liuyun asked with a smile after injuring Yutianxiang again.

At this point, Yutianxiang wanted to cry but had no tears left.

"How could this happen! How could this happen!" he exclaimed, unable to understand how Ye Liuyun could recover so quickly.

From the looks of it, Ye Liuyun didn't seem to have taken pills either.

The people on the training ground were now snickering at Yutianxiang.

News that Yutianxiang was looking for abuse spread through the academy instantly.

Yutianxiang finally lost the face to approach Ye Liuyun again; he waited until fully recovered before seeking revenge on Ye Liuyun.

After returning, Ye Liuyun first restored his True Essence, then began soaking the blood of Food Star Beast to boost Bloodline Power and strengthen his Physical Body.

The next day Yutianxiang didn't go to Ye Liuyun, but Ye Liuyun took the initiative to find Yutianxiang.

In the duel, Ye Liuyun added Bloodline suppression this time, causing Yutianxiang to fall even faster.

In the following days, Ye Liuyun attended his mentor's lectures in the morning, and in the afternoon dragged Yutianxiang out for a quick spar, beating him once or twice each day.

Moreover, Ye Liuyun was meticulous; each time he planned a second bout, he warned Yutianxiang in advance so he could prepare, rush back, and take pills that heal and restore True Essence.

Ye Liuyun grew stronger with each fight, gaining some improvement after every bout.

His third Qiankun Palm move, which controls Yin and Yang, had already reached Great Achievement level; it came effortlessly, and its power finally could withstand Yutianxiang's full-force strike.

Yutianxiang, on the other hand, grew increasingly insecure; his mindset was completely shattered by the beatings!

Not even reaching the fifth day, Yutianxiang demanded to terminate the Master-Servant Contract with Ye Liuyun, voluntarily offering compensation.

Ye Liuyun outright refused his compensation.

Consequently, Yutianxiang became passive and stopped restoring his True Essence.

Ye Liuyun was ruthless, shattering more than ten of his bones, forcing him to rush back for healing and True Essence pills; otherwise, every half‑day Ye Liuyun would break a few more of his bones.

Pressured with no options, Yutianxiang complied, only to be beaten by Ye Liuyun again, left bruised and battered.

The final time, he could no longer hold back, wailing loudly, clutching Ye Liuyun's thigh and begging him to spare him.

He even voluntarily proposed signing a Master-Servant Contract with Ye Liuyun, recognizing Ye Liuyun as master.

Ye Liuyun thought it over; considering that if Yutianxiang's father Yu Wang found out, it would be hard to explain, he decisively rejected it.

In the end, Yutianxiang produced a large amount of Crystal Stone, pills, and treasures, knelt at Ye Liuyun's doorstep, pleading for leniency; only then did Ye Liuyun spare him.

Yet ultimately he forced Yutianxiang to sign a contract that barred him from avenging Ye Liuyun.

From then on, Yutianxiang and Ye Liuyun both became famous within Qian Long Academy.

Ye Liuyun's fame stemmed from a freshman who could, at the Seventh Layer, defeat an upperclassman of the Zao Hua Third Realm.

Yutianxiang's notoriety came from being beaten to the point of sobbing silently, and finally having to liquidate everything to "redeem his body"!

The Nether Curse has been repeatedly warning Ye Liuyun in recent days that a great battle is imminent. Had he not used Buddha Light Power to suppress the Nether Curse, he wouldn't have been able to cultivate lately.

At this moment, Ye Liuyun's realm was about to breakthrough, and he was preparing to cultivate for a day at Qian Long Pool to face the upcoming Nether Hell strongman, when someone came knocking at his door.

Two youths of the Sixfold Creation blocked Ye Liuyun's doorway, shouting, "Ye Liuyun, get out of here!"

Their shout startled the surrounding people, who came out to watch the spectacle.

"Affairs of Tianjiao Pavilion, idle folks, all of you stay away!" a youth barked at the crowd.

"Tianjiao Pavilion! Crown Prince's men!"

"Better not watch, lest you invite trouble!"

Immediately some people retreated to their rooms, unwilling to watch further.

Yuan Datou was unfazed; in his mind, Ye Liuyun was omnipotent.

"I don't care where you're from, why are you shouting at my boss's doorstep! Delaying my boss's cultivation—can you pay the price?" Yuan Datou shouted loudly.

Ye Liuyun also stopped cultivating, emerged from the Xuan Kong Shi, and surveyed the situation.

He didn't recall ever offending anyone from Tianjiao Pavilion, so he wondered why they were causing trouble here.

Yet before he could step out, one of the two at the door lunged, slapping Yuan Datou with a palm.

"Looking for death! How dare you speak to us from Tianjiao Pavilion like that! Who do you think Ye Liuyun is, that you dare call him boss?"

As soon as he finished speaking, with a "Bang", he flung Yuan Datou into the air, spitting blood, falling to the ground, unable to even crawl up.

Ye Liuyun rushed out immediately, releasing a Ghost Butterfly: "Kill them!"

Within the academy, anyone who barges in can be killed.

Ye Liuyun saw them injure Yuan Datou, and immediately he also became angry, directly letting the ghost butterfly start killing.

Those two unlucky ghosts didn't even get a word out before Ye Liuyun and the ghost butterfly combined forces and exterminated their souls.

Ye Liuyun took the opportunity to perform a Soul Search on them, learning their purpose.

"It turns out they wanted to use avenging Yutianxiang as an excuse to threaten me, to make me hand over the Hidden Dragon Pool Token! I never expected even the Crown Prince to have taken an interest in this Hidden Dragon Pool!"
