Chapter 249
A simple summary, and ask for another day off.
It was originally one day, and I would resume updating at noon tomorrow, but I suddenly found that from now until noon tomorrow, there are classes and tasks, and because the update time was brought forward, I actually have to rush to code words overnight, and there is no time to sort out the plot at all, so I will take another day off and resume updating at noon on Wednesday.
Then let me inform you that our second volume is not over yet.
From the end of the first volume to now, the original creative purpose was the low, relaxed, and cool mentioned at the end of the first volume. As someone writing a book for the first time, I really thought about it for a long time. I still remember the feeling of being stuck—how to write a plot of pure pretending to be cool?
I really analyzed it like solving a problem; for the plot of the martial arts competition, to be cool, I must lay the groundwork from both internal and external aspects, that is, first, the protagonist really needs this championship, for example...; second, the external situation urgently needs him to win this championship, also for example...
But obviously, all the contradictions I planned to explode in the martial arts competition were not achieved. Before the martial arts competition, our contradictions were almost solved, so I had to take another path, another kind of emotion.
However, I did solidly write a face-slapping plot of pretending to be cool in this plot, and I believe it will be helpful for later writing.
Of course, many problems in the creative process can be taken out for analysis, but I won't go on at length. Just a simple summary, that is, the martial arts competition is an emotion-driven plot. Designing and laying the groundwork for emotions is really brain-consuming, and sometimes I have to abandon some plot logic.
And now that I've finished writing, I think emotion-driven is still not as good as plot-driven. That is to say, from my own writing feeling, sometimes I don't like the emotions I lay the groundwork for, and I will feel better writing the plot.
Maybe, it will be more relaxed?
Of course, it's not going to two extremes; emotions and plots are definitely integrated, but one is focusing on laying the groundwork for emotions in a relatively simple plot, and some small plots also serve the groundwork for emotions; the other is writing a relatively proud plot, trying to be complex and reasonable, focusing on the logic and explosion points of the plot itself, and then the emotions will naturally come out.
Of course, this is just my shallow, current experience after writing a short 700,000 words, just sharing it simply.
And the plot behind this, I haven't considered it well yet. I really feel that every day after finishing 4,000 words, I have no time and energy to think about the plot behind. I remember there is a very old golden finger where the time flow is different and the spiritual energy concentration is different. If I had this thing, it would be great.
(If you had this thing, you would only use it to write books?)
In short, I will take another day off to sort out the writing behind, and mainly to relax myself.
