Chapter 177: Snowflakes
"Demigod..." Chumen roughly understood Salinger's intentions; it was nothing more than confirming the authenticity of knowledge regarding adjacent pathways through the exchange of pathways between these demigods.
Among them, one could guess without thinking that a certain Russian researcher had contributed to it.
"I am still secretly collecting various Beyonder Characteristics of the 'Red Priest' pathway, cultivating Beyonders of this pathway, and forming an army."
"He values Binxi highly, having issued Divine Oracles several times to understand its situation..."
"Binxi?" Chumen narrowed his eyes and nodded slightly.
"Also, the Witch Sect has been systematically withdrawing from Balam for some reason..."
Azik Eggers stated various pieces of intelligence, while in Chumen's mind, a Causality Thread gradually integrated all the information, pointing in the same direction.
"Can you enter and exit the Underworld?" Finally, Chumen looked at Azik Eggers.
"I can. He granted me the authority to enter and exit the Underworld, and many of his requests were completed by me personally." Azik did not hesitate and nodded in response.
"Good. Prepare yourself; I will enter the Underworld with you."
Now that the Underworld is sealed, if Chumen were to break in directly, Salinger would notice.
"Yes!"
Azik did not refuse; this was already taking a massive risk.
He took the initiative to walk out of this palace, heading toward the deepest part of the imperial palace, where Salinger's bedchamber was—also an entrance to the Underworld.
"I think you should wait a moment." Chumen followed behind Azik Eggers, calculating all possibilities.
Then, outside Salinger's palace, Chumen saw the priest with the light-gold beard.
"Adam?!" Azik Eggers's pupils constricted; he had a great shadow cast by this priest. During the imperial wars, he had likely been led by the nose by Adam the entire time.
"Still waiting?" Chumen rubbed his chin, his brows furrowing imperceptibly as he looked at Adam. "Has he already succeeded?"
Adam nodded slightly. "I have already seen it; there were some gains."
Salinger's current state was Adam's scheme and Chumen's indulgence; they both wanted to see something from Salinger after he succeeded.
"But the situation might be more complex than we anticipated," Adam said softly, his eyes seemingly flickering with some fluctuation.
After all, those truly qualified to enter the game would not develop according to Adam's script; at this moment, he was not yet a "Visionary."
"If you want to go in now, be careful." Adam gave a final warning, his figure fading and merging into the Collective Subconscious Sea.
This was merely an identity Adam had split off, one that could be abandoned at any time.
"Careful..." Chumen was silent for a moment because of this reminder.
But he did not change his mind; instead, he transformed into a false, non-existent thing and followed Azik Eggers into the Underworld.
At the same time Chumen entered the Underworld, "snow" began to fall in other parts of the world.
The Shadow Curtain obscuring the "True Divine Kingdom" was pulled back, and two angels stepped out from within.
They were none other than Ouroboros and Medici.
"Tsk, I didn't expect that even after falling to Sequence 2, I'd still have to go out; if I'm not careful, I'll really be gone." Medici complained, the reason for which likely stemmed from a Divine Oracle from the "True Creator," yet it began with Dream.
"And that Tuorzina has been hiding for a thousand years; who knows where he died?" Medici was not holding back at all with his words.
The Divine Oracle they both received was to find Tuorzina.
Chumen would not forget the "Mother Tree of Desire."
And Tuorzina was the best weather vane for spying on the "Mother Tree of Desire."
"Even my Luck might not necessarily encounter him." Ouroboros also shook his head.
The "God of Spirits" Tuorzina had not appeared on the world stage for nearly a thousand years since withdrawing from the "Rose Redemption" that sought to slay the Creator.
He was a proper King of Angels, yet he had left no trace in the great wars of the past millennium; those who didn't know might think he was dead.
It was likely similar to the state Chumen was in when he searched for him: carving out a space for himself, developing believers, and then neither fighting nor competing, living a life more desolate than an ascetic monk.
This was very Temperance Faction.
"Does he not want to become a god? Not showing a single trace." Medici found it somewhat hard to understand.
Tuorzina had basically collected all the materials for becoming a god, but he had stubbornly resisted and did not plot the ritual to become a god.
One must know that even Ouroboros had once chased another Mercury Snake across the world to prepare for becoming a god.
"The only place where Beyonders of the 'Bound' pathway are concentrated is the Pas Valley and the Star Plateau in the Southern Continent."
The two angels arrived at this land, which had been suppressed extremely severely by the Balam Empire, through their respective means.
"Eh? A demigod of the Blood Sect?" Ouroboros's Luck was a truly existing thing; they had just landed and bumped into a demigod of the Blood Sect.
The Blood Sect, a sect that worshipped demons and mastered the "Abyss" pathway, had shown traces of activity since the mid-Fourth Epoch and was the world's largest evil cult—the Witch Sect was a True God Church in Balam.
And the "Abyss" pathway and the "Bound" pathway were adjacent pathways, representing indulgent malice and restrained desire, naturally clashing.
The appearance of a Blood Sect demigod on this plateau was an anomaly in itself.
"Be careful, there are some problems." Ouroboros frowned, looking at this land in silence.
Medici's expression turned solemn; Ouroboros's peeking into Fate was generally never wrong.
"The smell on them is also not normal." Medici's nostrils twitched, relying on the intuition of a "Hunter" to detect the state of the Prey.
"They are going to perform a sacrifice..." An altar was reflected in Ouroboros's eyes, with the flowing light of Fate flickering; he saw the future.
"Kill them!" Ouroboros suddenly gave a soft shout, and Medici drew a dark red longsword directly from his body, slashing toward those demon demigods with a cold expression.
"Restart"!
Ouroboros reached out and grasped, and a Mercury Snake broke free from the flowing light of Fate.
His eyes were bright red and cold, and his body was covered in countless wheels composed of patterns and symbols, each differing in detail.
The giant Mercury Snake coiled up, opened its mouth, and bit its own tail, turning into a mysterious and exaggerated wheel, head and tail connected; countless runes emerged from his body, bringing the entire world into his rhythm.
The world fell into an illusion of regression.
The altar at the feet of the several demigods collapsed directly, becoming a pile of unformed materials.
But what was strange was that those few Demigods were actually unaffected by "Restart".
A "Restart" at the level of a King of Angels is something even a Sequence 2 Angel is completely unable to resist!
