Chapter 221: Travelogue of the Phantom Realm
Loen Kingdom, Backlund.
Kelisi-te fell asleep full of longing; the last thing she thought of was the Starry Sky chart her aristocratic tutor had shown her during the day. It was truly the most awe-inspiring and yearning thing in the world.
She soon entered a sweet dreamland, only at one moment, she seemed to have arrived before a staircase that stretched to no end.
She seemed to have forgotten many things and was a bit muddled, as if dreaming, possessing perception yet unable to clearly judge where she was.
Kelisi-te blinked her eyes, somewhat dazed, but subconsciously walked onto that staircase, heading toward the deeper, unknown place.
She did not feel fear, but rather carried a certain longing and curiosity, as if something were waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs.
Perhaps it would be the Starry Sky she yearned for?
The novel feeling made her think of the adventure plots when she went hunting with her father.
This made Kelisi-te's mood become very good; the long staircase could not block her steps.
Hum!
Having walked past ninety-nine deep-sleep stairs, Kelisi-te seemed to have sobered up a bit; she arrived before a doorway and entered it with a skip.
"Eh?" Kelisi-te discovered she was in her own home, as if nothing had changed.
Not until she walked out of the room and arrived at the garden did she look up and see the beautiful dreams floating in the sky.
"Wow!" The young girl was startled by the various beautiful Dream Clouds. "I really want to go up and take a look."
Just by taking one look, she already considered them the best things in the world.
The moment the young girl had such a thought, the Space around her changed, and she arrived before a lake where the opposite shore could not be seen.
"Beautiful young girl, are you calling me?" A wooden boat sailed from the depths of the lake.
The wooden boat seemed to have some years on it; it was filled with the traces of time, and there seemed to be some exquisite, ancient patterns on it, but Kelisi-te could not see them clearly.
"Can you take me to the dreams above?" Kelisi-te asked politely.
"I can; I have come precisely for this." The boatman was an old man with white hair and a gray beard; his eyes were like clear lake water, able to reflect the appearance of every person.
"Then what price do I need to pay?" Kelisi-te tilted her head, seeming a bit troubled; she had not brought a servant, nor had she brought gold coins.
"Only a beautiful thing you have once dreamed of," the boatman said. "Beautiful dreams are the most precious wealth of the Phantom Realm."
"Then I will give you a small Cake!" Kelisi-te did not know where she took out an exquisite small Cake. "This is the most delicious Cake my mother made before she passed away."
"A Cake filled with love and regret; this is the best gift I have received today." The boatman looked at the small Cake in wonder and accepted it.
"As a reward, today I will become your dedicated boatman; wherever you want to go, I can take you there."
"Thank you, Grandpa!" Kelisi-te jumped onto the boat excitedly.
"I am the Fool Boatman; receiving a beautiful young girl like you is my duty."
The Fool Boat moved, but it was not traveling on the surface of the lake; its bow tilted slightly, and a stream of water suddenly split from the lake toward the sky, carrying the Fool Boat toward the Meimeng Yunhai in the sky.
Soon, the Fool Boat directly pierced through the Meimeng Yunhai and arrived above the Meimeng Yunhai.
"So pretty!" Kelisi-te sat by the side of the boat, looking at the shimmering, layered Dream Clouds; most of these dreams were left here by old acquaintances, becoming a part of this ocean.
There was also a small portion that was newly born, belonging to those who also remained clear-headed in their dreams.
Kelisi-te could not help but reach out and poke one of them.
Pop!
That Dream Cloud scattered, and Kelisi-te saw the dream hidden inside the cloud.
"Big sister! Big sister! Do you want to play with me?" A child with flashing big eyes poked his head out from the dream; his face was still covered in some mud.
"Ah, no!" Kelisi-te subconsciously refused.
"Alright then!" The child was not disappointed either, turning his head to restart his beautiful dream—he was molding little mud figures; such dirty activities were not allowed by his parents in Reality.
"This is Daddy, this is Mommy, this is me!" The child clapped his hands happily, full of joy.
"Kelisi-te, you are not a child anymore! You are a lady; you cannot go play with mud!" Kelisi-te looked at the happy child with some envy, then convinced herself.
The Fool Boat was still traveling on the sea of clouds, and Kelisi-te would reach out from time to time to poke and look at other people's dreams.
"They are all very happy." Kelisi-te was happy for everyone from the bottom of her heart.
"Eh, there is a pink one here." Her eyes suddenly lit up, and she reached out to poke the pink cloud.
"Ah!" Kelisi-te's cheeks turned red as blood in an instant, and she covered her eyes with both hands, but she was truly too curious, and her fingers opened a tiny gap.
"So embarrassing." Kelisi-te looked regretfully at the pink cloud closing up, and looked somewhat bashfully at the Fool Boatman who was watching her with a smile.
"Beautiful young lady, do you still remember your original intention for Enter Dream?" After lingering on the Meimeng Yunhai for a long time, the Fool Boatman suddenly asked.
"My original intention?" Kelisi-te tilted her head to think, and finally remembered the Starry Sky she wanted to see before entering the dream.
"I want to go up there!" Kelisi-te pointed to the Starry Sky above her head; that place was the most profound and the most yearning.
"Then, I will take you to the Moon." The Fool Boatman rowed the oars, and the Fool Boat headed toward the higher sky once again.
Soon, the Fool Boat broke through the Meimeng Yunhai and headed toward that silver disc hanging in the sky.
"Is the Moon like this?" Kelisi-te looked at the silver Moon with some astonishment.
"This is the original appearance of the Moon."
Kelisi-te accepted this concept very naturally, but the moment she stepped onto the Moon, she still felt the trembling and moving of her soul.
Above the Moon was a very majestic white Shenshen; bits of moonlight fell from the white palace, and there seemed to be a figure dancing in that white palace; Kelisi-te felt as if she had seen the embodiment of beauty.
"How can it be so beautiful?" That kind of beauty made Kelisi-te, who considered herself a beautiful young girl, feel somewhat suffocated; she dared not approach, as if that small movement would be a blasphemy against the Goddess.
"That is the Beauty Goddess," the Fool Boatman introduced to Kelisi-te. "This is also one of the Fairyland above the Meimeng Yunhai."
"Here, you can see the real, pure Starry Sky."
Kelisi-te turned her head and looked at the Starry Sky outside the Moon.
The Starry Sky was like a fantasy and a dream; the stars shone, the galaxy flowed, and the starlight of the whole sky shone into the deepest part of her heart.
As if being in a Fairyland, intoxicated in the wonderful and warm Starry Sky, the stunning scene made Kelisi-te infatuated, as if she could hear the breathing of the universe.
