Chapter 308: Target
"Huh? Since when did Erwulong become so smart?"
The person who dared to speak ill of the "Station God" Erwulong was naturally Chumen.
He had received a letter from Klein sent via Reinette Tinekerr, in which the matter of Edwina wanting to research the Beyonder abilities of the "Dream" Pathway was explained in full.
With just a single glance, Chumen knew this must have been the work of the "God of Knowledge and Wisdom" Herabogen.
Herabogen had served under the Imagination Dragon for a thousand years and worked alongside the Nightmare Dragon; to say that He had never researched the abilities of a "Writer" would be nonsense.
And under the "All-Knowing Eye," creating a Sequence 1 Mystic Master art was not difficult; arranging this encounter was simply a matter of convenience.
It was just that this time, He had truly displayed the spirit of a "Station God."
The Giant King's Court hid the First Blasphemy Slate, and that copy of Groselle's Travels hid the backup plan of the Imagination Dragon; both items involved immense stakes, and if one could utilize them well, it might not be impossible to secure greater benefits for oneself.
But now, Herabogen had delivered them into Chumen's line of sight, and even into Klein's hands.
"Imagination Dragon..." Chumen felt inexplicably concerned about this, but he soon abandoned the idea of causing trouble over it; he had more important things to do now.
He quickly wrote a reply to Klein and handed the letter to Reinette Tinekerr.
"Huh?" Chumen's Spirituality stirred. "He wants me to pay the postage for you?"
"Yes." The four heads of the messenger lady nodded gently and spoke in unison.
"Heh." Chumen chuckled and flicked out a Dream Gold Coin.
Two of those four heads caught the coin and the letter in their mouths, then performed a Spirit World jump.
Afterward, Chumen simply waited in this manor.
"This city is becoming more and more lively." He only needed a slight shift in thought to perceive the anomalies appearing in this city.
Because quite a few Demigods and Angels had come here due to that sacrifice; this was a manifestation of the Law of Beyonder Characteristic Convergence, and even more so, an external display of his pure Dream essence.
For Beyonders, Backlund had become much more dangerous.
Chumen had used this evil god sacrifice event to artificially create two "centers of the world," or rather, "Beyonder gathering vortices."
One was Backlund, and the other was shifting as Klein headed south.
"Are you leaving?" A faint voice sounded in his ear, and Chumen turned his head to see Amanises wearing a complex, classical long dress.
This was no longer the "Hidden Angel," but the true "Goddess."
The only one capable of deceiving the gazes of the gods and descending from the Astral World was the "Mother of Concealment."
"Mm." Chumen nodded gently. "Dream Angel" replaced him as he was now, remaining in this manor.
His true main body, however, left Backlund together with Amanises, buying tickets and boarding a ship like ordinary tourists, heading toward... an unknown land.
Klein was quite surprised to receive a positive reply from Bishop Chumen.
"He actually agreed?" Klein hadn't really held much hope himself.
"Perhaps the Beyonder abilities related to the Sequence 6 'Person in the Painting' are not considered too precious."
Of course, there was also the possibility that although the "Dream" Pathway was sealed—only Dream believers could choose it—over the course of thousands of years, with the information channels of a Church, collecting its Beyonder abilities was something that could be done.
Besides, it wasn't as if there were no Fallen in the "Dream" Pathway.
Under such premises, trading information on Sequence 6 Beyonder abilities for those three items could be considered a huge profit.
Therefore, Klein gritted his teeth—he would trade!
"I am very honored to have this opportunity." Edwina expressed her gratitude very solemnly.
"This is your payment!" He personally delivered the huge Death Key, that bag of Dream Gold Coins, and Groselle's Travels.
"I'll trouble you for the next few days."
Klein accepted the three items and nodded earnestly.
Over the next four days, Klein summarized his "Dream" Pathway and shared this information with this pirate admiral.
During these four days, this pirate admiral was in a state of high excitement, often pulling Klein aside to ask various questions, inexplicably making Klein the public enemy of the Golden Dream.
"I say..." Klein looked at the only one he was relatively familiar with, "Flaming" Danitz. "What are you all doing?"
"Hmph!" Danitz snorted coldly the moment he saw Klein, his eyes filled with malice as he looked at him.
"This is too ridiculous!" Klein vaguely sensed something.
This situation continued until four days later, when this lady, who was actually more like a teacher than a pirate admiral, having fully understood the knowledge she wanted, locked herself directly in the captain's cabin and did not come out for several days.
And the longer she kept herself locked away, the better the atmosphere Klein felt on the ship; Danitz even drank a round of wine with him.
However, that was only for those four days. On the fifth day, when Klein, Leonard, and the others were enjoying breakfast with the pirates, Edwina finally walked out of the captain's cabin.
Her eyes were too bright, as if stardust were shimmering within them, causing everyone to be dazed for a moment—perhaps the beauty of knowledge?
"I failed." The pirate admiral smiled candidly.
Klein knew this was Edwina trying to create corresponding mystic arts by imitating and analyzing the "Dream" Pathway.
"The 'Dream' Pathway is worthy of being the most mysterious pathway; it leaves one with no way to even begin." The pirate admiral's eyes were very bright, completely unaffected.
"It seems to have a certain quality, a quality that is unique and cannot be imitated..."
This "teacher" immediately began explaining to Klein, completely ignoring the circle of pirates.
"..." Klein inexplicably had the feeling of being caught and lectured by a high school teacher before he had transmigrated.
"However, I haven't come away empty-handed these past few days; I can begin my advancement."
This "Mystic Master's" development of "Dream Arcane Art" had failed, but in the process, she had completed her acting and could advance to become a Demigod at any time.
"Congratulations!" Klein also sincerely congratulated her.
"Thank you!" After the pirate admiral thanked him earnestly, she began to enjoy her breakfast, and Klein successfully drew another wave of hostility.
"Where is the ship now?" After breakfast, the pirate admiral asked.
"Less than 500 nautical miles from the Rosed Islands." Danitz raised his hand impatiently to answer.
Edwina nodded gently and then looked at Klein and the others. "What are your plans?"
The Blood Sect has outposts on almost every important island on the sea, and there are many choices for hunting Blood-Venerating Cultists.
Klein's expression turned serious all of a sudden, and he extended an invitation to this pirate admiral, "Are you interested in a collaboration?"
"What kind of collaboration?" Edwina asked.
"Hunting the 'Admiral of Blood'!"
Truly working hard on writing words...
