Chapter 31: Civilization Scroll
This time, Chumen was honestly playing the role of a Dream Angel under the Creator.
Within several months, he led missionaries to preach in many human city-states and even among alien races, occasionally displaying the great power of an Angel, leaving behind many legends in each city-state.
Saving the dying and healing the wounded were basic operations; legends of hunting demigod monsters, purifying city-states, and spreading Dream Light were what truly constituted his unique image in the Creator's Scripture later on.
Correspondingly, Chumen indeed felt that after his identity as a Dream Angel was elevated, his Faith Anchors increased rapidly, already exceeding all the believers in Deep Darkness City.
This allowed him to mobilize more power from the Dream Book, and his own state was also excellent.
But one day, Sasriel contacted him.
"Dawn and Harvest?" Chumen looked at the letter Sasriel had sent him, his expression quite strange.
It had not been long since that battle of Ancient Gods; Chumen had fought a fierce battle against these two mother-and-son gods and had even schemed against Badehaier.
It had likely caused Badehaier's mindset to undergo some delightful changes.
"You want me to receive them?" Chumen frowned, "Aren't you afraid we'll start fighting directly?"
He then thought of something, suddenly realized, and directly Roamed back to his territory, finding Lilith.
Over these past few months, he had often returned to the territory to feed Lilith; this Vampire's palate had been spoiled, and even if she endured until she was about to lose control, she would not touch the blood of other humans.
Although it was not Chumen's blood, blood that could suppress madness was unique in this world.
"You've brought blood?" Lilith remained arrogant, which was the nature of a Vampire Progenitor, but compared to a few months ago, she seemed to have gained a bit of human touch.
"Your existence reminds me of a type of human that almost parasitizes houses," Chumen remarked, "Never going out and needing others to deliver food."
Perhaps because this was the Sun Kingdom, which was naturally at odds with Vampires, Lilith had not stepped a single step out of this church built for Chumen by Dream believers since arriving here.
"Come with me to see Oumibeila!"
Lilith's expression turned serious instantly.
Chumen took out a badge, which was the symbol of Dream, capable of directly connecting to the Dream Book; in essence, it was the same as the Divinity Badge he carried on him.
"Hidden Authority is not safe enough, add this." Hidden Authority was enough to make Lilith invisible in Fate and Reality, but now that they were walking directly in front of the parties involved to observe, it needed to be more secure.
"Fine!" Lilith did not waste words either, following Chumen to a Shenshen in the Sun Kingdom.
Inside were the God of Dawn, Badehaier, and the Goddess of Harvest, Oumibeila.
Two five-meter-tall Giants stood beneath this large Statue, and the church actually felt a bit cramped.
"It's you!" The Dawn in Badehaier's single eye fluctuated violently the moment Chumen walked in, with wisps of Twilight aura condensing into a giant sword, and the power of Dawn surging.
"Put down the sword, otherwise you will never get what you want." Chumen did not even look at Badehaier, just walked slowly to the very center, standing beneath the Statue of the Creator.
At this moment, his Dream Twelve Wings unfolded, as if brilliant divine light fell from the Statue of the Creator, adorning the pure white Twelve Wings.
"You are His subordinate god?!" Badehaier did not put down the sword, but instead, his fighting spirit rose to the extreme.
"We are not here to start a war." A voice softer than Badehaier's came, suppressing Badehaier's arrogance.
"This Angel, we come for the Twilight Path." Oumibeila wore a wooden armor battle skirt and held a wooden staff, exuding a strong aura of life, her voice as gentle as possible.
She naturally recognized Chumen, but was just enduring it; being able to do this was already much better than Badehaier.
"Fine!" Chumen did not lower himself to Badehaier's level; Warriors, after all, were usually like this, especially Badehaier.
"But you should know that knowledge is priceless; it is directly equivalent to power."
"We have brought the collection of the Giant Race from the past thousand years." No emotion could be heard in Oumibeila's words; she was deliberately restraining herself.
"Oh? Show them all!" Chumen became interested; the Sun God allowed this knowledge to be spread, but he wanted to ruthlessly carve flesh off these Ancient Gods, and the Giants asking for a Sequence Pathway right off the bat was even more outrageous.
"Civilization Scroll."
Oumibeila took out a scroll from the Spirit World Space; this scroll seemed to be condensed from light and shadow, appearing very thin, yet giving one an extremely heavy feeling.
And in Chumen's eyes, what he saw were the various extraordinary races recorded on it, rising from ignorance and madness, breeding and fighting under the drive of instinct, having passed through who knows how many years, gradually gaining wisdom and beginning to establish their respective civilizations.
There were Giants building royal courts, Elves carving palaces, and even the City of Miracles hanging high above the sky, with the Underworld hidden deep in the Spirit World.
This was the civilization created by extraordinary races.
And the next instant, what Chumen saw was the Giants and Dragons dominating the world, suppressing other extraordinary races, and opening the Twin Era.
Anything further was too blurry; he couldn't see it clearly at all.
"I don't know which one this corresponds to in your Potions, but I can be certain of the preciousness of this Civilization Scroll." Seeing Chumen stunned, Oumibeila nodded in satisfaction.
Chumen exhaled lightly; he had indeed been stunned just a moment ago, and now that he had come to his senses, he lamented that these Ancient Gods must have occupied all the High-Sequence Characteristics of other pathways that they hadn't consumed.
This Civilization Scroll was the Unique belonging to the "Perfecter"!
It recorded all traces of existing civilizations and even made certain deductions about the future development of civilization!
The Giant King had actually managed to refrain from swallowing this Unique.
Of course, if the Giant King had swallowed this thing, the conflict of non-adjacent pathways would have been enough to turn him into another Destruction Demon Wolf.
Perhaps the other High-sequence Characteristics and Uniques of the twenty-two pathways were all in such a situation? Existing in the treasuries of Ancient Gods in some way.
These things were enough to move even the Ancient Sun God!
"This one piece alone is enough." Oumibeila was very confident.
"……Not enough!" But Chumen shook his head firmly; these Ancient Gods were too rich... ah no, knowledge is priceless!
Hearing this, the life aura in Oumibeila's single eye stalled, and Badehaier almost used his sword to hack this Angel.
The preciousness of the Civilization Scroll needed no words; it was top-tier even in the Giant's treasury.
If it weren't for the fact that they had already obtained enough information from the scroll, learning that their race would eventually become the hegemon, the Giant Race would not have brought it to trade for a Potion Formula.
In their view, this Potion might be the final piece of the puzzle for the Giant Race to become one of the Twins.
