Chapter 397: Wedding and Setting Off Again

~7 min read 1,250 words

Over the course of two days, Klein and Leonard revisited the work of the Nighthawks.

With the addition of a Demigod and a Sequence 5, plus Ms. Daly, the mystical side of Tingen suffered its greatest blow in history and dared not stir again.

And today was the day of the wedding.

"The Captain is truly handsome today!" Klein and Leonard sat on the front row bench; in front of them was Dunn Smith, dressed in a crisp formal suit and looking somewhat nervous.

This was Saint Selena Church; this sacred church of the Evernight Church in Tingen was closed for the day to hold a wedding for two Nighthawks who had once given their blood and sweat for Tingen.

This meant that the newlywed couple would receive the Goddess's blessing.

Soon, festive and cheerful music began to play, becoming sacred within the quiet and tranquil church.

Daly Simone, wearing a holy wedding dress, walked in from the entrance, arm-in-arm with the elderly Mr. and Mrs. Neil, and walked down the aisle toward Dunn Smith.

The two newlyweds looked at each other, both revealing smiles.

The Solomon Empire, the only empire from the Fourth Epoch to survive, ruled half of the Northern Continent and was mysterious and ancient.

Klein also stood up to applaud, beaming with a joyful smile; he looked at Chumen, and Chumen nodded slightly before retreating silently.

"A blessing of Dream..." Klein felt that his mental state was already very stable, and he had regained hope for life.

Leonard was preparing to join the Red Gloves of the Backlund Evernight Church, returning to his previous rhythm of life.

"Sir, Madam, are you willing to enter into a marriage contract with the lover beside you? Are you willing to love each other, respect each other, accompany each other, and care for each other for the rest of your lives, whether in poverty or wealth, whether in sickness or health, until the end of your lives?"

Klein and Leonard did not stay in Tingen for long and soon returned to Backlund.

There was still a team of people in Groselle's Travels that had not been dealt with.

"Is it the 'Black Emperor'? That is a True God."

"The occult aura here is about to overflow." Klein stared at some ancient, asymmetrical-style buildings, which possessed terrifying powers that made his Spirituality alert.

And the Solomon Didu was an ancient capital that everyone yearned for.

"Under the gaze of the Merciful Goddess and the Supreme Dream, I shall witness a sacred marriage." Chumen spoke softly, making the sacred atmosphere of the church even more intense.

The ceremony officiated by Chumen was very brief, asking only one question.

"I have witnessed Dunn Smith and Daly Simone's journey together, complementing each other..."

"Then... may the Goddess protect your marriage, and may Dream protect your love." Chumen announced the conclusion of the marriage contract with a light laugh and gave his own blessing.

"I do!" Both newlyweds nodded solemnly.

Klein brought Herwin Rambis, who had transformed into the appearance of a servant, into this city.

Clap, clap, clap!

All the guests stood up and applauded incessantly, celebrating the couple as they stepped into the hall of happiness.

He had come to make a guest appearance; he had, after all, once been a Bishop of Saint Selena Church.

After arriving in this city via the Phantom Realm, Klein was also full of wonder.

"I will go take a look in the future, but for now, I still have some matters left unfinished." Klein said; he needed to make a trip to the Solomon Empire.

The youngest buildings he had seen along the way were no newer than the time Loen was founded.

"No wonder the people of the Solomon Empire are so arrogant and full of pride."

Living in such an environment, it was difficult for them to think highly of people outside the empire.

Backlund was known as the City of Cities, but that only began after the Industrial Revolution.

"Let's go to the Zoroast Family first." Klein thought for a moment and decided to deal with the matter of the travelogue first.

And Herwin Rambis, who was behind him, walked to the front, hired a carriage, went straight to the inner ring of the Didu, and arrived in front of the famous Angel Family.

"My master wishes to pay a visit to Duke Zoroast." The title of Duke Zoroast had been passed down for a long time and was no longer the first generation.

Herwin Rambis handed over a calling card according to the customs of the Solomon Empire.

To prevent certain undesirable things from happening, Klein visited in the capacity of an Archbishop of the Dream Sect.

"Please, come in!" The servant soon reported to the Duke and invited Klein to enter.

An Archbishop of the Dream Sect was still qualified to be a distinguished guest of an Angel Family.

Along the way, Klein saw what the foundation of an Angel Family meant; the Beyonders he saw were already in the dozens or nearly a hundred, all family members, mostly of middle Sequence.

But what was even more alarming was the mansion itself; it seemed to have life, or rather, a living Characteristic, giving Klein an extremely dangerous feeling.

However, Klein soon saw Duke Zoroast.

This was an old man wearing a retro-style formal suit, with a serious expression and eyes that seemed to carry some kind of terrifying meaning.

"An Angel?!" Klein's heart skipped a beat; he truly felt the pressure.

Before Pallez Zoroast went missing, he had put all his efforts into building the family and even begged Chumen for the invisible protection of the Dream Sect, which was the only reason the family was preserved from the mouth of a certain man-eating fellow.

Even now, members of the Zoroast Family were not allowed to leave the scope of the Didu.

"Duke, does your family have a family member named Mobet Zoroast?"

Klein calmly took a piece of paper from his pocket, on which was a badge from Leonard.

This was Pallez Zoroast's personal badge, representing that "Worm of Time".

"You..." After seeing the badge, Duke Zoroast's stiff and serious expression changed, looking both excited and worried.

But He only took a deep look at Klein and asked nothing.

He seems to have mistaken me for a target of Parasitism... Klein keenly sensed this, but this should not be a bad thing.

"Mobet is my nephew, but he has been missing for over a thousand years." He answered Klein's question.

"He is not dead, just trapped in a place; his lifespan has run out, but he is still alive and needs a certain method to be saved." Klein stated his purpose directly.

"This... is not difficult." This Angel thought for a while and already had an idea.

The corners of Klein's mouth twitched; how are these Angels all so capable?

"Just teach me how to Deception the Rule." Klein made his request.

"..." The Angel frowned, and a terrifying aura descended upon Klein.

Klein deliberately tore open the paper divine robe and silently pulled a Dream Badge from within his hollow body, placing it on the table.

He had also prepared for a long time to dare to enter the Angel Family of an adjacent Pathway.

For instance, the one sitting here right now is a Paper Figurine.

For instance, the Pope of the Dream Sanctuary should have already received news of his arrival in the Solomon Empire by now.
