Chapter 54: Status

"The state of the Demon Monarch projection will suffer a major blow because the main body in the outside world is under attack."

Chumen wrote this "prophecy" on the Dream Book.

"Release the confinement of the Hidden World!"

Amanises tapped her finger lightly, and the entire Hidden World flickered for an instant, intersecting with the outside world for a brief moment.

The Demon Monarch projection seized this moment, intending to borrow more power from the main body.

But at this moment, the "prophecy" was fulfilled.

"Sun!" the Demon Monarch projection roared; it was the Ancient Sun God in the outside world who had fully committed to the battlefield, dealing a major blow to the Demon Monarch's main body, and this blow was reflected onto this projection through that momentary connection.

Sensing this, Chumen timely activated the Divinity Badge on his chest; a pure and brilliant sunlight erupted from the Divinity Badge, as if a divine light had descended from the sky, directly piercing through the body of the Demon Monarch projection.

"Ah!" The Demon projection suffered immense damage; "Night" completely overwhelmed "Fallen".

"It is time to end this." Amanises held the Death Scythe and slashed down.

"Die!" The Demon Monarch's projection quickly recovered, two bone blades suddenly grew from its hands, and it swung them upward, knocking away the Death Scythe.

It was another clash between the "Night" and "Filth" Authorities.

But this time, "Night" was clearly stronger!

The Demon Monarch projection's suppression of Amanises's power and status had neared zero.

Clang!

When the scythe and the Filth bone blade clashed again, the entire world seemed to fall silent.

It was also at this moment that two bright colors appeared in the composition, making the Hidden World clear and no longer dull.

Those were the emerald green and blood red representing the existence of life.

It was Lilith, who had been hiding all along; Amanises had created an excellent environment for her, and she had seized the opportunity to find a certain flaw when the two Authorities collided.

The composition of Night and Filth was invaded by blood color, and a vine representing the Life Authority pierced in from behind the projection, continuously draining the projection's power.

"Fabuti, you should die." Lilith spoke coldly.

"Lilith?!" The Demon Monarch's projection widened its eyes, unable to even comprehend the scene before it.

But it had no time to think; Amanises's palm pressed onto the projection's demon head, and this wisp of consciousness was quickly and completely annihilated by darkness.

The power of the projection that had descended was also completely drained.

"Pleasure working with you." Lilith and Amanises looked at each other and nodded.

Chumen watched this scene and felt too afraid to step forward.

Scary...

But in the end, all the remaining skins of the projection were swept into the Dream Sea by Chumen.

Everything here could not be known by the outside world; the Demon Monarch could not even perceive that this projection of theirs had died.

Amanises revoked the Concealment, and the three of them reappeared on that void landmass.

"This place is very strange..." Chumen sensed the aura emanating from this island.

Chumen walked around the pool in the center of the land a few times, finally confirming a certain fact.

"Related to Source Quality?"

Chumen sensed that he seemed to have some hidden connection with this island.

He even felt the urge to stay away from it in his heart.

Is it the legendary "Shadow World"... Chumen stopped approaching, feeling a sense of crisis.

The Abyss was far away in the depths of the ocean, already very close to that legendary Western Continent!

And there were simply too many elements here; it intersected with the Astral World, and there was the Mother Tree of Desire, so it was not incomprehensible that there was a projection of the "Shadow World"...

"I feel a corruption similar to the one just now." Amanises said softly.

"Fabuti is stealing the power of something." Lilith approached the pool and made a judgment.

The pool was not large, and it had already accumulated half a pool of water; the water was crimson, nearly blood-red, and shimmered with a pink light.

"There are two types." Chumen keenly perceived the nature of the water in the pool.

Besides the one from the Mother Tree of Desire, there was also the power of the "Shadow World" projection!

The Outer God, the Mother Tree of Desire, was constantly bombarding the Barrier, setting off the waves of Filth that surged in the Abyss every so often, but the Demon Monarch was also stealing the power of this Mother Tree.

Relying on the isolation of the Barrier, it was unscrupulously probing the Outer God, actively drawing the corruption to the very bottom of the Abyss, and for a demon, "corruption" was power!

Just as when Chumen actively thought about knowledge related to Outer Gods here, he established a connection with the Mother Tree, and corruption descended.

That Demon Monarch was also harboring such intentions; it was constantly drawing in the corruption that only those above the level of an Angel could resist, and it was still planning to turn it and the Shadow World into its own power through some kind of connection!

"Too insane!" Chumen frowned; a slight carelessness could lead to being completely corrupted by the Mother Tree or the Shadow World.

And in Chumen's view, in another thousand or a hundred years, the Demon Monarch would truly be taken advantage of by the Mother Tree while recovering from its injuries!

"Madmen always have different ways of being mad." Lilith mocked.

Amanises deeply agreed; the Destruction Demon Wolf was the same, only unlike the Demon Monarch, the Destruction Demon Wolf never managed to reach Sefirah Castle until its death.

Of course, the other Ancient Gods were not much better off either.

"Take this place away!" Amanises nodded lightly and directly concealed the entire landmass.

Chumen arrived before the "Scroll of Civilization"; it was still resisting the increasingly powerful waves of Filth, and the "Distortion" of the Black Emperor Crown also kept time forever frozen at the previous instant.

"Mother Tree of Desire..." Chumen looked at the illusory stars in the brilliant Starry Sky; it was constantly flickering, wanting to erode Chumen.

"This corruption is also troublesome." Chumen frowned as he watched, directly retracting the two Uniques.

The Black Emperor Crown landed on top of his head, and the Scroll of Civilization transformed into his cloak.

"Corruption Distortion!"

He issued an order in the capacity of an Emperor, and a powerful force acted upon the corruption capable of drowning Angels, intending to forcibly annihilate them.

It was just that the gap in status made the effect of the "Distortion" Authority on this corruption very limited, and it could not succeed.

"What a pain!" Chumen slapped the Dream Book onto it.

The Dream Sea descended with a roar; this time it was no longer illusory, but a real ocean, and endless, boundless waves submerged that Corruption. In terms of status alone, the Mother Tree of Desire was at most on par with the Dream Book!

Yet, as the Dream Sea manifested in this Starry Sky, the star beyond the Barrier that represented the Mother Tree suddenly contracted.

The mysterious connection that faintly linked Chumen to the realm beyond the Starry Sky was unilaterally severed by the Mother Tree!

This action was so fast that Chumen could not react, and gradually, a strange smile appeared at the corners of Chumen's mouth.

"The Mother Tree seems to be afraid?" Chumen raised an eyebrow, "Afraid that I will go and corrupt Her?"
