Chapter 62: The Ancient Sun God in His Prime

~7 min read 1,336 words

"Is this the historical trend you have ordained?!"

Gaoxinamu's voice was filled with unwillingness regarding Fate.

"... Yes." Chumen was silent for a moment, then nodded gently.

Boom!

A scattered bolt of lightning exploded in the Real World; this was the leakage of power from the God of War Battlefield.

The Elf King was already making a final struggle; their true body had conceptualized, becoming the Storm, becoming the Ocean.

"God said, Chaos!"

The Ancient Sun God's gentle voice seemed exceptionally cold at this moment.

This single sentence contained too many powerful Authorities, dealing a massive blow to the Elf King's state, forcing them out of their conceptualized state, their mental state in utter chaos.

"God said, Return."

Another Divine Oracle echoed in the Astral World, and the Elf King's own existence blurred; the Sequence 1 Characteristic and Unique of the "Tyrant" within their body began to tear away from the Elf King themselves under a powerful impulse to aggregate.

That which is separated shall inevitably aggregate; this is the underlying law of this world, and the Ancient Sun God was revealing this law, strengthening it to a degree capable of affecting Ancient Gods.

"Roar!" The Elf King was resisting with the help of the Authorities of non-adjacent Pathways within their body, and their own Ancient God status was also forcibly condensing the Characteristics within.

But everyone knew that the Elf King's defeat and death were only a matter of time.

"Roar!" Chumen felt a jolt in his heart, his spirit shaken for an instant.

It was not just him; the Collective Subconscious Sea hummed and shook, a colossal creature wandering within it, peeping at the Ancient Sun God in the Astral World.

"It's the Dragon of Imagination!" Gaoxinamu's eyes had a glimmer of light, seemingly seeing hope.

"There's more than that." Chumen, however, perceived more; he turned his head to look, and doors that seemed both illusory and real appeared outside the area illuminated by the Sun's light.

Behind these doors, a pair of bronze-colored eyes watched everything coldly, and pale white flames representing death burned fiercely within them.

The Phoenix Ancestor had also come.

Giant King Ormir once had a tacit understanding with the Ancient Sun God, and he was supposed to be responsible for holding back the Dragon and the Phoenix; it seems he has broken the agreement now.

But who would care about a Giant's promise?

If the Ancient Sun God were still hiding his strength, defeating the Elf King with only a "slight" advantage, the Giant King would be very happy to cooperate with the Ancient Sun God.

But now, the Ancient Sun God in his prime had made all the Ancient Gods feel fear.

This was an existence that had truly destroyed the balance of power among the Ancient Gods.

"There is no chance." Chumen glanced at the Twilight and dusk gradually descending, shaking his head slightly.

Even if all the Ancient Gods came, the winner would still be the Ancient Sun God.

"Roar!" "Screech!"

The Phoenix and the Dragon of Imagination attacked the Ancient Sun God's true body simultaneously.

Space Gates manifested directly behind the Ancient Sun God, and the river of death even sought to defile the purity of the Sun.

Yet the Ancient Sun God did not even cast a glance.

It was just that a line of text quietly appeared on the Brass Book.

"Forbidden Teleportation in this place!"

The Space Gates collapsed instantly, and the Phoenix's attack was also severed.

Boom!

The Chaos Sea beneath the Ancient Sun God's feet suddenly stirred up a massive wave, rolling toward the Dragon of Imagination, who had also struck.

Their Authority of "Imagination" seemed to be unusable.

The Dragon of Imagination was in an even worse state than the Phoenix; all their own abilities were suppressed by the Chaos Sea, their situation even similar to that of the collapsing Elf King.

Just a single scroll of civilization was enough to leave them completely unable to move.

"Death!" The Phoenix struck again, the power of death invading; it was a cloud composed of bones, gray-colored currents permeating, and even the Sun's light itself was dying!

But at the same time, the distorted lines on the Black Emperor Crown swayed gently, and the target of these death effects was distorted, becoming the Elf King who was on the verge of collapse.

"Ormir!" The Phoenix Grejary could not help but call out the name of this arch-rival.

With the Dragon of Imagination suppressed by the Chaos Sea, the power of a single Ancient God was not enough to shake the Sun God's towering light shadow.

Ssh!

Twilight truly encroached upon the Sun's domain, and a streak of red light even sliced through the space sealed by the Brass Book.

The great sword in Giant King Ormir's hand was strange, appearing extremely heavy; this was no illusion, it was the sacrifice of the entire Giant Race.

The Giant Race had become an "army," and their power was now concentrated on this great sword.

"Screech!" The Phoenix made a comeback, a grand city looming in the depths of the Spirit World; that was the Underworld.

And deep within the Underworld was a flowing, illusory, colorless, gloomy river.

That river was so blurred it was only a silhouette, surrounded by a layer of pale white, thin mist like a Barrier.

A scoop of river water was carried by the Phoenix and sprinkled into the Sun's domain.

The one still carrying out the final Harvest felt a resonance with the Ancient Sun God and looked toward the gloomy river inside the door.

The Chaos Sea reacted abnormally, the churning seawater seemingly wanting to rush toward the projection of the river behind the door.

"Clang!"

A giant clock representing "Error" suddenly began to turn, pulling at those pale white mists, once again sealing those gloomy river waters!

The Ancient Sun God influenced the seal composed of pale white mist through the Authority of "Error"!

The gloomy river water was restricted for an instant, and the giant light shadow representing the Ancient Sun God finally moved.

The Chaos Sea beneath his feet suddenly set off monstrous waves, and the various Uniques controlled by Shadow also conceptualized, the power of various Authorities permeating the entire Astral World.

The Dragon of Imagination was about to be submerged by the seawater of the Chaos Sea, and the Giant and the Phoenix were blocked by various Authorities.

"Go to Eternal Sleep."

A soft sigh from the Creator spread to every corner of the world.

All living beings who heard the sigh could not help but look up at the Starry Sky, sensing that something was about to happen.

That figure, standing tall between heaven and earth as if supporting the world, raised a hand and pressed down lightly onto the head of the Elf King.

Time seemed to stop in this instant, leaving only a patch of pure, brilliant light.

The hope of the Queen of Calamity was completely shattered; her expression turned sorrowful, having already foreseen the ending.

She was intelligent enough to know that the defeat and destruction of this day were even fated; she had tried to stop it, but had not changed the final outcome.

"Are you going to take action against the Elf Race?" The Queen of Calamity's expression turned cold and arrogant once more as she looked at the bewildered and fearful Elves behind her.

They were unable to accept the collapse of their own faith in such a short time.

"The Elf Race will not go extinct." Chumen shook his head slightly.

The race of the Ancient God was not their primary target, of course, except for the demons!

"Thank you." Gaoxinamu nodded gently, her expression softening significantly.

She waved her hand, and the armies belonging to the Elves were all swept up by a gale and flung toward the territory belonging to the Elves, while she herself flew toward the God's Kingdom of the Elf King, returning to that palace belonging to the king.
