Chapter 85: God

~6 min read 1,181 words

The Ancient Sun God had already lifted the "herding" of these Unique items and returned them to the treasury; they were now all in Chumen's hands, and he could use them as he pleased.

And after being soaked in the Dream Sea, the "Brass Book" could not stir up any trouble in his hands.

"What is this?" Amon pushed up his Monocle, looking at the "Brass Book" in Chumen's hands with great interest. "Is it that Dream Book of yours?"

Amon also had a certain understanding of this teacher.

"This is what I should teach you." Chumen wrote a Rule on the "Brass Book."

"Theft is forbidden here!"

A faint light flashed across the Monocle made of crystal on Amon's face, as some kind of Rule had placed a restriction on his abilities.

"Fun!" Amon was not frightened; instead, he leaned closer to Chumen, looking at the text on the "Brass Book."

This feeling of being restricted by a Rule was very novel for a child less than four days old, and there was an adventurous factor in Amon's nature.

"This is a game; let's see if you can escape, or if I can completely imprison you."

Unlike Bethel, Chumen could not teach such a naturally born mythical creature any mysticism knowledge, so let's play a "game."

"I like games like this!"

Amon smiled, pushed up his Monocle, placed his small hand on the "Brass Book," and began to Deceive.

A certain Rule was surging, and Amon successfully Deceived the Rule through the living Characteristic possessed by the "Brass Book."

"The above Rule is invalid..."

"It's taking too long," Chumen shook his head slightly. "Before you finish Deceiving, I can even write the Rule of 'Deception is forbidden'."

Chumen wiped his finger lightly, and the Rule on the "Brass Book" was completely erased; this was the power of "Hidden," coming from Chumen's Divinity Badge.

And after the Rule on the Brass Book was erased, in just an instant, Chumen wrote down even more Rules.

"Theft is forbidden!"

"Deception is forbidden!"

"Use of a Monocle is forbidden!"

"..."

The sheer number of Rules caused the Brass Book to gradually revive to a terrifying state, one that could even turn Amon into a child truly without the strength to truss a chicken.

This was "Imagination"; Chumen let these Rules instantly cover the "Brass Book," creating an environment where the "Marauder" had no way to start.

"Tsk!" Medici clicked his tongue. "Isn't this a bit bullying? This is the Creator's child!"

But as a "Provoker," his words usually had some kind of strange effect.

"No! I can find a Loophole!"

Amon glared stubbornly at Medici, sat directly on the lawn, held the Brass Book, and began to Decipher with difficulty.

The ability of a "Decipherer" was the only one Chumen had not forbidden; this was the only hope he had left for Amon.

The current Amon was not yet the "Blasphemer" that even True Gods feared; although he possessed all the abilities of a "Marauder," he was still a bit immature in their application.

He should have stolen Chumen's thoughts after Chumen said that sentence.

Of course, could the thoughts and ideas of someone with the status of a "Visionary" be stolen by him?

This... there was no proof yet, only that a cathedral created by Imagination could be stolen.

"Hmph! Boring!" Medici watched Amon get restrained so easily and immediately lost interest; he had wanted to see the Dream Territory in chaos.

Medici gave Chumen a look and flew away directly.

Chumen let Amon struggle with the "Brass Book" while he walked out of the Fairy Tale Castle.

"Are you afraid that I'll teach your son bad habits?" Chumen looked to the side of the Dream Statue, where there was a priest wearing an ordinary white divine robe.

It was the former "Sun God," the current "Creator."

"I have initially grasped the 'Omniscient and Omnipotent' Authority." The Creator suddenly turned to look at Chumen.

"I know." Chumen nodded slightly.

"The moment I truly became 'God,' infinite knowledge flooded me," the Creator's eyes never left him for an instant. "After that moment, I was almost 'Omniscient'."

"Almost?" Chumen noticed this word.

"Yes, the 'Sefirah Castle' in this world..." The Creator paused slightly before continuing, "And you."

"You seem to exist outside of 'Omniscience'."

"So what exactly are you?" The Creator's clear, bright eyes stared fixedly at Chumen, devoid of any emotion, only a kind of Godhood's exploration of the unknown.

A chill gradually crept over Chumen's body, rushing straight to his head; his body stiffened in place as he looked cautiously at the Creator.

After a long time, Chumen looked into the Creator's eyes and said in a slightly heavy tone, "Are you Sasriel now, or 'God'?"

Sasriel referred to his own self, while "God" was the true "God."

"That one has not yet awakened." The Creator's pure eyes seemed to have gained something, and he shook his head gently.

"But given my friendship with Sasriel, he would not explore my secrets so bluntly."

He and Sasriel, who better represented the Creator's humanity, were very good friends; their status as fellow countrymen plus hundreds of years of friendship were enough for Sasriel to stop exploring everything about him.

"It is that one who influenced you!" Chumen made his own judgment.

"He is also curious about me, so he influenced you to understand me."

Chumen pointed this out mercilessly, which caused the Creator's brows to furrow slightly.

Then, this Creator closed his eyes and began to examine himself.

A power that Chumen was already very familiar with, but of a higher status, was surging: a "Mental Diagnosis" at the "Omniscient and Omnipotent" level.

After a long time, the Creator woke up from the "Mental Diagnosis," his bright eyes dimming slightly.

"You are right; although he has not awakened, he still influenced me." The Creator nodded gently.

"I am very sorry." The Creator looked at Chumen and apologized softly. "I was indeed in a very strange state before."

This caused a very ominous feeling to rise all over Chumen's body, and he subconsciously wanted to stay away from the Creator.

That was a subconscious reaction to facing "God."

"I should be glad to have a friend like you." The Creator's tone and attitude had changed at this moment, more like Sasriel.

"I'm a little afraid," Chumen said bluntly, "afraid that one day you will suddenly become Him, and then eat me."

"I won't." The Creator made a promise to Chumen, and a kind of power descended upon Chumen.

This promise was "notarized," becoming a tangible constraint; even if that "God" truly awakened, this "notarization" ability would be enough to make Him take it seriously.

"I'll take your word for it for now," Chumen said, suddenly having the thought of running away.

In the history he knew, the awakening of that being was irreversible, and the power of a Pillar was also almost impossible for the current Chumen to resist.

Then, continuing to stay in the Creator Kingdom was equivalent to being in danger at all times...
