My grandmother is being laid to rest, so I have to take two days off to go home for the funeral. I’m trying to build up a Chapter buffer this week to ensure there are no interruptions in the release schedule.)\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Now that it’s been a few days since the premium launch, let’s talk about the book’s performance.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I went premium at 300,000 characters, which is quite late. I was the one who delayed the launch by a week because I didn’t feel ready. As it turned out, I still wasn’t ready.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>At the time of the launch, I had around 6,700 bookmarks. That number has dropped a little since then, and new growth is slow.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Currently, my average subscription count is 320, with a peak of 417.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>What can I say about these numbers? I’m obviously no match for the top authors.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But for a fledgling author like myself, who’s still lacking in skill and experience, I guess it’s not too bad?\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I have to say, the Fantasy Channel is really a tough market. THUD!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Now, let’s talk about the future plot of the book.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I’ve already written the main outline and the plot for each story arc, so the overall direction is pretty clear.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>However, when it comes down to the actual writing of each Chapter, I still feel the pressure, especially when I read some of the reader comments.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>For example, when some readers said my kingdom-building arcs were too padded, I would try to write through those sections more quickly the next time they came up.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But the moment I start thinking like that, I completely lose track of how to write. I end up writing and deleting, deleting and writing, and after ages of struggling, my word count is still zero. It’s an awful feeling.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Eventually, I just had to steel myself and stop reading the comments for a few days.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>...\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I won’t say any more; it’s mentally draining to think about.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Finally, while thanking all you esteemed readers for your support once again, I also want to humbly ask for your subscriptions.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I’m hoping the average subscription count can rise to 500.
