Chapter 529: The Vanguard Commander's Privilege: A Carnival for Students of Every Nation!

At this moment, Princess Daina said, "Since that's the case, let's start the war council now!"

Originally, the war council would naturally only be convened after the Vanguard Commander had been decided.

The countdown is still running on the screen right now.

However—

Princess Daina clearly felt that… no one could snatch the position of Vanguard Commander away from Qin Feng.

Qin Feng naturally had no objections.

She was never one to dawdle; once the decision was made, she quickly assembled all the officers.

Soon, quite a few people filed into the tent one after another.

The moment everyone saw Qin Feng, their eyes narrowed.

"You must be the Knight Commander 'Tyrant,' the one who single-handedly annihilated the Dark Spirit race and killed a Holy Radiance-tier powerhouse twice! Your fame precedes you!"

"The Knight Commander Tyrant's renown has already spread across the entire universe!"

"With Knight Commander Tyrant on this operation, we will surely be able to purge these vampires!"

"…"

These paladins were certainly no blockheads.

On the contrary, anyone who had risen to the rank of senior officer was a shrewd operator.

They all began to flatter Qin Feng one after another.

Qin Feng gave a faint nod by way of reply.

Among these officers, quite a few were fairly well-known; after Level 15, they could be considered capable hands within the Sanctuary Legion.

Hm?

Suddenly, Qin Feng's eyebrow twitched slightly.

He saw three somewhat familiar IDs.

【Wagell】

【Nelis】

【Magge】

……

Weren't these three brothers… the First, Second, and Third of the world-famous vampire fortress?

Qin Feng rifled through his memories of his past life—those three really did seem to have defected out of the Sanctuary Legion.

Who would have thought they could still attend a high-level meeting, dressed up all proper and proper-looking?

The vampires' ability to conceal themselves was plain to see—even the Sanctuary Legion had been infiltrated.

At this point, Princess Daina cleared her throat and said in a clear, lovely voice, "Everyone, the battle plan is roughly as follows…"

Princess Daina began to lay out her battle plan.

Regarding this… Qin Feng had no objections whatsoever.

In this mission, the main force was naturally still the Sanctuary Legion; the players were just along for the ride.

Their main task was to follow the Vanguard army, clearing out small fry and gathering intelligence.

As for Qin Feng… he would be treated as an elite force, acting alongside Princess Daina, primarily responsible for beheading the enemy's elites.

Princess Daina spoke at length for several dozen minutes; she took a sip of water and finally asked, "Does anyone have any suggestions?"

"None!"

"Princess's battle plan is perfect!"

"A flawless plan—we are sure to win!"

"…"

The paladins naturally had no objections.

Although Princess Daina was young—no more than twenty years old—she had studied military treatises and mastered the art of warfare from childhood; her battle plan could be called watertight.

At this moment.

Qin Feng, who had been silent all this while, spoke up:

"Ahem, Your Highness's plan is excellent, but I feel… the Vanguard positions should be handed to the three paladins 【Wagell】, 【Nelis】, and 【Magge】."

The three brothers who had been named felt their eyelids twitch.

They exchanged a covert glance.

Holy shit!!

What a coincidence—picking on the three of them?!

Could it be… they've been exposed?!

Princess Daina frowned slightly and asked, "Why?"

She tilted her head slightly, casting a questioning look at Qin Feng.

Those three could only be described as passable; their abilities weren't particularly outstanding.

Using them as the Vanguard—wasn't that a bit of a stretch?

Qin Feng's expression didn't change as he said, "They have very high reputation among the players. I hope the players can advance alongside them!"

"…"

The look of suspicion in Princess Daina's eyes deepened.

High reputation among the players?

Oh, please—those three couldn't be bothered with the players at all; they hadn't issued a single quest, had they?

Although she didn't know what Qin Feng was up to, she ultimately nodded and said, "Very well, then the Vanguard positions will be taken by the three paladins."

"Yes, sir!"

Though the three brothers were a little puzzled, their eyes lit up with joy.

The Vanguard Commander was, naturally, an extremely critical role.

When the time came, it would be easy to lead everyone straight into a ditch!

"……"

The battle plan was quickly hammered out.

At the same time.

The countdown had finally ended, and the system's voice rang out.

"Ding dong~ World Announcement: The Commander for this round has been confirmed. It will be assumed by the Dragon Nation player 【Tyrant】!"

"Ding dong~ World Announcement: The second phase mission is about to begin. All players please proceed immediately to the 【Holy Hall Legion Temporary Stronghold】 to assemble. All supplies for this round will be provided by the Holy Hall Legion!"

"……"

When the system's voice faded, the students naturally reacted in all sorts of ways.

The Dragon Nation students burst into cheers.

"Yay!! Big shot Tyrant has taken the Commander seat — we're about to take off!"

"Wuhu! Big shot Tyrant will definitely fight for benefits for us!"

"Awesome! Big shot Tyrant is yyds!"

"……"

In contrast to the Dragon Nation players, students from other nations were all feeling miserable.

Qin Feng had taken the Commander seat, so he would naturally target them in every way.

Putting everything else aside, even if he sent them to the front lines to die, it would be hard to resist.

And at this moment, the system's voice was still ringing in Qin Feng's ear.

"Ding dong~ You have successfully obtained the 【Commander】 seat. You enjoy the following rights: 1. Participate in formulating the main mission's battle plan. 2. Full authority to formulate the players' battle plan. 3. Authority over the distribution of all strategic resources."

"……"

Overall, the Commander's authority was still quite decent.

The truly useful ones were just two: first, the authority to formulate the battle plan for all players.
