Chapter 1008: The upcoming hearing (First update!)

Conference room, sitting in rows.

After Jean pushed the door in from the outside, she looked at Cyclops, who was looking at her subconsciously, and then took back her gaze, pulled the chair with a calm expression, and sat in her seat.

Cyclops looked at this scene, feeling a bit heartbroken.

He and Jean cannot be said to be childhood sweethearts, but they can be said to be classmates.

Because he and Jean were both found by Professor X and brought back to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

The first time Cyclops saw Jean, his eyes couldn't move away.

Jean, who had already grown up, not only had the wildness of Hawk's aggression, but also had the fatal mystery of her mother Wanda, which was similar to that of a Gypsy witch.

Although Jean didn't express anything.

But...

A kind of affection was happening between the two.

Cyclops could feel it.

This is not an illusion!

Because on the day the mutant Apocalypse raided the X-Academy, there was only a layer of window paper between the two that could be poked through.

Then!

Hawk and Wanda came.

The things after that were very simple, especially after returning from Cairo, Egypt, Jean intentionally avoided him.

Reason?

Maybe Jean was going to return to her own universe with her parents.

Cyclops thought with a heartbroken feeling.

Fortunately, he was wearing a special eye mask, otherwise, the others sitting in the conference room would probably be able to see the heartbreaking look in Cyclops' eyes through his eyes.

Professor X, who was sitting in the main seat, to be precise, sitting in a wheelchair, having shaved off all his hair and having a bald head, glanced at Cyclops, who was radiating a heartbroken aura, out of the corner of his eye.

He wanted to say something.

But—

This matter cannot be said.

Professor X also sighed in his heart, and then talked about the main business of this meeting.

"President Barron Turner finally agreed to promote the 'Mutant Peace Agreement', and the bill will be heard in Congress next month."
