Chapter 118: A Shortcut to Strengthening the Cosmo and Cloth (Genesis of the First Update)
A few days later.
Liberty Landing Ferry terminal, located in Bayonne, Xinzexi.
After parking the car inside the terminal, Gwen Stacy opened the door, looked at the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline that came into full view, let out an exclamation of wonder, and turned her head to look at Hawk, who was stepping out of the passenger seat.
"I haven't seen the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan from this angle before; it's beautiful, don't you think, Hawk?"
"It's alright."
Hawk glanced at the Statue of Liberty, then took a look at Manhattan across the harbor, and gave his assessment.
Hearing Hawk's evaluation, Gwen Stacy opened her mouth, feeling somewhat speechless, and felt she shouldn't have discussed whether the place was beautiful or not with Hawk.
So...
Gwen Stacy decisively changed the subject.
"Where is that friend you mentioned?"
"You're early; we agreed on ten o'clock, and it's only nine now."
Hawk's tone was calm.
A few nights ago, when he left Gwen Stacy's house, he received a call from Anna; after hanging up, Gwen Stacy asked who it was, so he told her.
Just as Hawk had said before, as long as Gwen Stacy asked, he would not hide anything.
But after asking, when Gwen Stacy learned that it was Anna who provided him with the information, she expressed that she wanted to come along with Hawk.
Hawk agreed.
And so.
Early this morning, Gwen Stacy came to his apartment to wake him up; they had originally agreed to meet here at ten o'clock, but Gwen Stacy arrived at nine.
Fortunately.
An hour is not very long, and in the blink of an eye, the time quickly reached ten o'clock.
Just at this moment, an unremarkable semi-trailer truck drove into the terminal, and after honking its horn twice, it caught the attention of Hawk and Gwen Stacy.
Hawk turned his head to look at the semi-trailer truck that was driving toward them and gradually slowing down.
At first glance.
He saw the truck driver.
Anna.
A while later, the truck came to a stop beside Hawk; Anna, with her blonde hair tied up high and wearing a pair of intellectual-looking glasses, jumped down from the truck and looked at Hawk with a smile: "Sorry to keep you waiting, Hawk."
Hawk also said with a smile: "I have a lot of patience when it comes to friends, Anna."
Anna's gaze then fell on Gwen Stacy, who was standing to the side, and a hint of surprise appeared on her cold, beautiful face as she looked at Hawk: "And this is..."
"Gwen Stacy, my girlfriend."
"Anna, my friend."
"Hello, Gwen Stacy."
Hearing Hawk's introduction, Anna took off her gloves with a bright smile and extended her right hand toward Gwen Stacy.
Gwen Stacy smiled and shook hands with Anna: "Hello."
She had seen this woman before.
