Chapter 3: Tonight, the Universe Will Flicker for Him (Please Add to Favorites!)
After Hawk left the old gymnasium, he walked toward the parking lot.
He did not know what had happened behind him.
However, even if he had known, he would not have paid it any mind.
Although Spider-Man is touted as the number one IP character in American comics, honestly, Hawk is not familiar with Peter.
Even though he and Peter are in the same grade.
By the time Hawk arrived at the parking lot with his shoulder bag, the doors of the last orange school bus had already opened.
A bearded driver wearing a school uniform was leaning boredly against the steering wheel, fiddling with a portable radio.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Hall." Hawk boarded the bus and greeted him politely: "Any special news today?"
The bearded Mr. Hall looked exceptionally fierce.
But in reality, Mr. Hall was not fierce.
Quite the opposite.
He was a good man.
"Still the news about the collapse of the Quantico building; it's said to be a terrorist attack." Mr. Hall, who was fiddling with his radio, looked at Hawk as he boarded, checked the time on his wristwatch, and said: "Hawk, you're two minutes later today than you were yesterday."
Hawk shrugged.
"Sorry, I was delayed by a shower today."
"It's a good thing I knew you would take my bus home every day, otherwise I would have already driven to the school gate. Sit down, we're leaving."
"Alright."
Hawk maintained his politeness, carrying his backpack, and walked toward the back.
