Chapter 36: Oscorp Biotechnology Building (Please follow and read!)
The next day.
Hawk got up early, dressed, shouldered his messenger bag, and headed out to catch the subway with the documents Lady Snow had given him.
He had originally intended to take the bus.
As everyone knows.
The subway in Niuyuecheng is hard to describe in a word.
Unfortunately, Hawk discovered that there was no direct bus from his new apartment to the Oscorp Biotechnology building, and if he took the bus, he would need to transfer three times.
Calculating it that way, it was better to just take the subway.
At the very least, if you have no morals, you can ride the subway for free.
In a nutshell.
You can hurdle the subway turnstiles, and even if you don't jump the fare, the transportation cost works out to be cheaper than taking the bus.
So, Hawk simply decided to take the subway.
Only...
He regretted it the moment he boarded the subway.
Stinky!
It was too stinky.
The various colorful odors swarming in from all directions made Hawk seal off his sense of smell with lightning speed.
But if it were just the foul smell, that would be one thing.
There were also plenty of people causing trouble inside the carriage.
There was a hippie clutching a guitar, howling like a ghost while fantasizing about becoming a great musician one day.
And not far away, a black woman who looked like a tank from every angle had a golden python wrapped around her neck.
God knows how she managed to bring that thing in.
But that wasn't the main point.
As everyone knows, if you were to list the places in Niuyuecheng where you are most likely to encounter pickpockets, the subway carriage would definitely be on the list.
And sure enough, a young black man in a hoodie had his eyes on Hawk.
His intuition told him that Hawk was a subway novice.
A so-called subway novice refers to those passengers who don't ride the subway often and don't understand the dangers of the subway carriage or the unpredictability of human nature.
Such passengers might not be very wealthy, but they are definitely considered the easiest prey, so they are defined by peers in the thieving trade as subway novices.
