Chapter 70: Marvel: Awakening the Small Universe at the Start, Chapter 33

~4 min read 629 words

Hawk froze for less than a second, then got up from the bed, pulled on his T-shirt, walked to the living room window, opened it, and saw Gwen standing across the street by that yellow Corolla, waving at him.

Oh.

No.

It should be girlfriend Gwen now.

He still felt it was somewhat unbelievable.

Say it again.

Gwen Stacy is my girlfriend.

Hawk thought to himself, smiled and waved back at Gwen standing downstairs, then hung up the phone and walked toward the door.

Before long.

Hawk appeared at the entrance of the apartment building, crossed the street, and arrived in front of Gwen.

"What's wrong?"

"Are you free tonight? My mom invited you over for dinner."

"Uh..."

Lemon sea bass!

When Hawk heard Gwen invite him to her house for dinner, this was the first thought that flashed through his mind.

After all, in a certain sense, this dish could be considered quite famous.

Hawk’s thoughts turned, and looking at Gwen’s expectant gaze before him, he thought for a moment and nodded.

"Okay."

"It's a deal then. What are you planning to do later?"

"Hmm, go to the library to read."

"..."

After saying this, Hawk looked at Gwen, who didn't speak but just smiled at him, and laughed out loud: "I'm really going to the library to read this time."

After all, school starts tomorrow.

Twelfth grade, the final year of high school; if nothing goes wrong, New York University will send people this semester for the final assessment and scholarship confirmation.

Although he said he didn't even care if he could get into New York University anymore.

But...

If possible, he still wanted to go; after all, attending New York University to study law and then finding a way to become a district attorney or even a judge was his dream before he awakened his Small Universe.

And for the past three years, he had been working hard toward this goal.

Gwen looked at Hawk earnestly, and then a brilliant smile bloomed on her face.

"Then let's go."

"Where to?"

"Aren't you going to the library? I happen to be going to the library too. Perfect, after reading, you can ride home with me, but you have to accompany me to Oscorp first."

"Get in."

Hawk watched as Gwen spoke while walking to the driver's side, opening the door and beckoning him to get in; he didn't hesitate, pulled open the passenger door, and sat down.

Just as he had said earlier.

He really intended to go to the library to study today.

Work and rest must be balanced, after all.

In his Small Universe, the Phoenix star chart transformed into a phoenix, and the colorful Gammanium absorbed from the Quantico base wandered through the Phoenix star chart.

The Phoenix constellation was currently still refining the Gammanium with all its might.

For the entire day, after Hawk and Gwen came out of Oscorp and arrived at the library, they stayed there quietly reading books.

He wanted to go to New York University.

Gwen, on the other hand, wanted to go to Berkeley.

Hmm.

Both of them were working hard for their own futures.

In the afternoon.

Before leaving, Hawk registered and checked out the books he hadn't finished reading yet.

When he walked out of the library, Gwen was already waiting in the car.

Nearby, a man who had just run in to borrow a book and come back out screamed on the spot as he saw a parking ticket tucked under his windshield wiper.

Hawk watched this scene, and after sitting in the car, he asked curiously: "Didn't your car get a ticket?"

Gwen shook her head and said with a smile: "Dad registered my license plate in the police station system."

Hawk suddenly understood.
