Chapter 172

The matter of the Dream World came to an end, and the plan to head to Unova was brought forward. Xiang Guangtai calculated the time and also felt the urgent need to master a method to stably enter the dream realm.

The original plan was to first head to Johto to visit Mr. Pokémon, then rush to the art exhibition invitation in Paldea, and at the end of the year, go to Mahogany Town to keep the appointment with Pryce. The time was still ample, but now with the addition of the Unova travel plan, it seemed a bit tight.

Fortunately, the transportation in the Pokémon world is very developed. Before leaving the dream realm, Mewtwo indicated that it would help move Xiang Guangtai to the port of Olivine City, so that too much time would not be wasted.

The Sinjoh land is too remote; this is a paradise for forgotten Pokémon. It would take a lot of time to head to Johto from here, especially since Xiang Guangtai does not have a Pokémon capable of long-distance flight. If he wants to leave quickly, the Charizard flight service in Blackthorn City is a good choice, but now there is clearly a better way.

Moreover, Xiang Guangtai also learned about Ash from Mewtwo. Sure enough, Ash also exists in this world, and they had met in the Johto region before, and his travel companions were not much different from those in the theatrical version.

It's just that the incident in the Hoenn region had ended two years ago, and perhaps because of the fusion of worlds, Ash's experience was different from that in the anime. During the journey, he probably did not have friction with Team Magma and Team Aqua, and even if he did, they were probably just remnants.

In the Special Manga, there were also some remnants continuing to operate after these two organizations were defeated. In the end, these two organizations are extreme natural environment protection organizations. As long as there are people who agree with their philosophy, the organization will not completely perish.

Traveling through the Pokémon world and meeting Ash is a great pleasure. Thinking about it, he began to look forward to it.

Moreover, Ash's travel speed has always been a mystery. Theoretically, even if he heads straight for gym challenges with a clear goal, it would take at least half a year to clear one region. Adding up eight regions would take four years, but Ash seems to clear a region in two or three months, which is truly baffling.

Even after traveling to multiple regions, it seems his age has never increased, and the time of the entire world has frozen along with him.

And perhaps it is precisely because of Ash's influence that the ages of the protagonists have become similar. If so, that would be great! Don't say it's impossible; this guy is a human who has a connection with Arceus.

"Ash is the true God of Time. As for the God of Space, of course, it is Rei from the Hisui era. What are Dialga and Palkia? They can't compare at all."

"Speaking of which, don't travel too fast. I still want to personally participate in the theatrical version events."

There are quite a few super items in the theatrical versions. Without Ash as a plot interface, it would take a lot of effort to get them himself. But there is no way for the plots that have already ended. At least Ash should have already experienced "Mewtwo Strikes Back" and "The Power of One" by now.

Moreover, the knots in the hearts of some characters in the plot might not have been untied by Ash. After all, the protagonists of the original world line are still active! Even the Clear Cliff incident lacked Giovanni; the changes in this world are quite large!

"Yo-woo~"

Since waking up, Dou Jianqiao had been bragging to other Pokémon, saying that it was a huge loss that you didn't enter the dream realm this time. There were many new Pokémon inside, new buildings were built, and it showed its Aura power to everyone. Among them, Lilligant, who was also trying to practice Aura, was very envious.

Afterwards, Dou Jianqiao began to bewitch Grotle, saying it wanted to teach it the "unique skills" from the ancient kingdom period!

Because it ate a lot of high-grade food and secret medicine, and was blessed by the Royal Amulet, Grotle's speed did not decrease, but became faster, and its body became larger and stronger. In this way, combined with Bullet Seed, it directly turned into a mobile turret. Dou Jianqiao was teaching very seriously, like first finding a move to charge up, then immediately retreating two steps after firing, switching the move to Bullet Seed, and then starting infinite rapid-fire...

Learn the unique skills used by the ancients in war in two minutes, you deserve to have it!

Grotle: "...?"

Although you are speaking with certainty, can this really be reasonably executed? The number of attacks for Bullet Seed is different every time. This move is just like that; it's not that you can fire as many as you want.

"Yo-pu~" Dou Jianqiao patted Grotle's shell, indicating that as long as one learns with heart, one can master the essence of this move.

A long time ago, the king had a Cacturne as a subordinate, and it fought just like this. The same technique also applies to the Bug-type Pin Missile. That is a unique skill that definitely hits the full power of Bullet Seed!

"A Cacturne that definitely hits the full power of Bullet Seed and Pin Missile and possesses the illegal ability 'Skill Link', right." Xiang Guangtai thought thoughtfully: "It seems your former king was also a 'magician'."

Dou Jianqiao: "?"

However, Xiang Guangtai was not surprised by this kind of thing. After all, he also "magically" created a Larvesta with the Drought ability, and the Pokémon world itself possesses various strange powers. Even some naturally born Pokémon have illegal abilities, such as Ash's Rockruff, which actually possesses the "Own Tempo" ability that is absolutely impossible to appear in the natural world!

Grotle's expression was somewhat hesitant.

This kind of technique sounds really powerful, but it always feels not quite right.

Dou Jianqiao immediately retorted:

I was also dismissive of it at first, but later I felt that if I don't learn a few life-saving combos, how can I protect my newbie friend and me? This is the true spirit of a knight.

"Isn't that quite good." Xiang Guangtai encouraged Grotle, indicating that this is also a technique for using moves. The Pokémon world itself contains many special individuals, including Grotle itself, which now belongs to a unique existence.

Don't you see Ash's Pokémon can even use the Counter Shield? Professor Oak flipped through the skill table and couldn't find this skill. Gym leaders and the Sinnoh Champion are all learning it, and everyone says it's good after using it. And the Counter-Counter, Rowlet's Disguise suit, Feather Dance Substitute, which one is legal?

And Dou Jianqiao's rhetoric gave Lilligant, who was not very happy, a little inspiration.

Previously, Lilligant had integrated dance into its moves and completed various elegant "combat techniques." If it went a step further and completely integrated two dances? For example, what it often does now, using "Close Combat" in the "Leaf Blade" state, perhaps it could add "Icy Wind" and "Clear Smog" in the future...

Xiang Guangtai was directly amused.

Is Lilligant going to develop an infinite combo? As long as the opponent is hit once at the start, they will be comboed in the sky and won't be able to land, right?

The time of day passed quickly. The Pokémon were studying their morning ideas and putting them into practice. In the following days, Xiang Guangtai completed various items needed by Steven, and soon a batch of new items was produced, which brought Xiang Guangtai new abilities.

The Pokémon in the forest also provided various materials and excavated treasures in these few days. Steven and Regirock went mining and had a fruitful harvest, becoming addicted to it and unable to extricate themselves. Ursaluna sent the treasures it excavated from the mountain, which were the "Azure Jade," one of the three types of jade unique to the Hisui era, and some precious bones that shone with luster. As a reward, Xiang Guangtai gave it a Rare Candy.

"Three types of Choice items."

"Spell Shovel... can be used with Soul Sand to create Sandygast, increasing the growth rate of Ghost-type Pokémon. When a Pokémon possessing this shovel has made contact with the opponent and the opponent falls into a fainting state, it applies Grudge to the opponent, making the PP of the opponent's last used move become 0."

"Silk Scarf, after a Pokémon carries it, the power of Normal-type moves will increase by 20%."

"Indigo Chiffon, increases the Attack and Special Attack of Dragon Pokémon; Heavenly Feather Garment, increases the maximum usage value of Dragon Pokémon moves."

"Dragon Veil, increases the Evasion rate of Dragon Pokémon by 2 levels when the weather is foggy; Dragon Powder, increases the Defense and Special Defense of Dragon Pokémon."

"Purple Chiffon, increases the Attack and Defense of Ghost Pokémon; Shadow Gem, increases the Speed of Ghost Pokémon when the weather is foggy."

A large number of items unique to the Labyrinth World were produced. Compared to combat, these items were more inclined toward cultivation, but there was one item among them that made Xiang Guangtai ponder for a moment.

Phantom Cloak, originally a dedicated item for the Dragonite family, was produced in this world and, like other Dragon Clan items, became a general item for all Dragon-type Pokémon. Its appearance was an old yellow cloth cloak, but its effect was very terrifying, causing Dragon Pokémon to recover HP when attacked by Ice-type moves.

Dragon Pokémon with a 4x weakness to Ice are in luck!

Selling this item to those Dragon Tamers would definitely be very popular!

Xiang Guangtai also went to the Blackgold Ruins once. The Steel Giant was still researching the technology of fire forging. Xiang Guangtai asked it to melt steel and manufactured a Black Iron Ball. Incidentally, through the experience of making Choice Specs, he manufactured "Black Glasses" and "Wise Glasses."

Black Iron Ball, after carrying it, speed will decrease. Flying-type and Levitate Pokémon will be hit by Ground-type moves.

Black Glasses, glasses that look very strange. After carrying them, the power of Dark-type moves will increase by 20%.

Wise Glasses, glasses with very thick lenses. After carrying them, the power of special moves will increase slightly by 10%.

However, because there was no professional "glasses-type craft," the manufactured lenses were only amplified by crystal craft and grinding craft, which improved their usage precision and could also slightly purify the user's heart.

This made Xiang Guangtai's expression somewhat strange, especially when holding the Black Glasses.

Dark-type Pokémon possess a malicious aura when attacking, which is also the source of their power. Otherwise, how could they scare Ghost-type Pokémon? Wouldn't a Dark-type Pokémon with a purified heart be weakened?

In the name of evil, perform acts of justice?

Regirock's trading post also had many new things. Many Rock-type Pokémon settled in the Rock Pillar Ruins, acting as miners and treasure hunters. They found some unique plants to decorate the trading post, but those plants were very important things.

Smoke Yam and Flower Beer Fruit, Sword Dance Mushroom and Critical Truffle, as well as Sticky Mushroom, the quality was very good... The Geodude said that they found them near a swampy wetland further away, and there was also a cold temple located nearby.

Mushrooms like to grow in moist, dark environments, such as forests, grasslands, and swamps. They do not need sunlight, but rely on decaying plant remains to obtain nutrients.

That last temple was Regice's Bingshan Ruins. In order to obtain these important ingredients, Xiang Guangtai planned to head to the Bingshan Ruins in a few days to find out, and incidentally become friends with the last Regice, so that the three Legendary Giants would all be gathered.

In this way, the raw materials for making items—rock, steel, and ice—would not be lacking.

Afterwards, Xiang Guangtai took time to carefully study Cyrus's mechanical manual, and it was very strange to say, but after reading only a part of it, Xiang Guangtai obtained a large amount of essence knowledge about mechanical assembly. Many mechanical knowledge that his predecessor had dabbled in but did not understand at all were suddenly enlightened.

【Obtained "Cyrus's Advanced Mechanical Knowledge"!】

【Additionally obtained "Cyrus's Mechanical Insights"!】

【Additionally obtained "Radio Signal Knowledge"!】

【Additionally obtained the scholarship "Precision Manufacturing"—can manufacture specific parts needed for various machines through manual labor, the precision of the parts you manufacture +100%!】
