Chapter 217

Aegislash notices that Pokémon that appeared suddenly. It did not fight with other Pokémon and left quietly, but just before leaving, that guy clearly shifted its gaze and looked at itself and Xiang Guangtai.

Hmm, is the Trainer who has been chasing it peeking silently from behind?

Or is it that it has already tried but found that the other party cannot turn back?

And that Trainer has been crushed by the "reality of failure," so he will rely on Team Plasma and entrust it to "hollow ideals."

"How can this be? He ran away!"

"Hmm... even the elite Trainer... can only retreat temporarily."

"We are a legal organization; don't make it look like some villain! Our cause is righteous!"

The central park is in chaos. The people listening to the speech have already left, and the siren sounding in the distance indicates that the Officer Jenny of this city has been attracted.

At this time, Sage Zinzolin stands out. This is the perfect moment for him to brush up on favorability in front of the public.

Of course, the Trainer on the opposite side is also very powerful. Zinzolin is thinking, although the elite Trainer ran away, wouldn't it be better if he could recruit this Trainer in front of him into Team Plasma?

Then his gaze turns, and he sees a green-haired young man wearing a baseball cap making eye contact with him.

Ah! It's Lord N! The King of Team Plasma!

Zinzolin is a die-hard N fan. Although he was recruited into Team Plasma by Ghetsis, Zinzolin agrees very much with some of N's concepts and ideals. Seeing N make some gestures to him, Zinzolin understands.

It seems that it is not his turn to recruit that powerful Trainer who suddenly appeared.

Lord N seems very interested in that Trainer, staring straight at him without blinking!

Is Lord N preparing to have an in-depth exchange with him!

That's fine, let the King of Team Plasma personally recruit such a powerful Trainer. Many Trainers were originally stubborn, but after seeing Lord N talk to Pokémon and his ability to understand their hearts, they changed their thoughts and piously became Lord N's partners!

That Trainer will definitely be moved by Lord N!

"What happened here! Stop the battle of the Pokémon! Where is the Trainer!"

The Officer Jenny of Unova belongs to a subspecies of the traditional Officer Jenny.

Short green hair, golden eyes, capable uniform style; from the appearance, she is not as beautiful as the Officer Jenny in other regions.

However, their response speed is really fast now.

The chaotic battle in the central park leaves her and other security personnel dumbfounded. However, there is no response when calling for the Trainer. When seeing Team Plasma appear, she grinds her teeth instantly!

"I said, you guys..."

Before the reprimand is finished, the various moves flying all over the sky suddenly disappear at the same time. Officer Jenny turns her head in surprise and sees that the Pokémon that were still fighting each other stop attacking and gather beside the Pokémon that looks like a giant sword.

It is as if they are guarding their "King"!

And Xiang Guangtai, who commands the giant sword, is naturally marked by Officer Jenny. However, the important thing now is to warn that group of idle animal protection organizations!

"Are you a Sage of Team Plasma? I haven't seen you before. Don't you know that your speech here earlier caused many citizens to release Pokémon, causing several riots!"

"The chaos caused this time is also done by you, right! You all have to go back to the police station with me to participate in the investigation!"

Sage Zinzolin immediately realizes that this is a good opportunity. Although the soldiers around him intend to accuse Xiang Guangtai, Sage Zinzolin understands that even if they accuse him, it is useless, because the one inciting the Pokémon to attack is that giant sword like a door panel!

He doesn't know Pokémon language, so how can he identify a Pokémon? What's the use of accusing the other party's Trainer? If the other party doesn't admit it, isn't that it?

Moreover, this is a good opportunity to create a separate negotiation for Lord N!

"That's right, it was caused by us. Team Plasma takes full responsibility for the chaos caused by this release activity! Very sorry! But we are just liberating Pokémon controlled by malicious villains. Whether to release them or not is entirely up to the Trainer; we are just calling for it..."

Sage Zinzolin makes a delicate defense. After all, Team Plasma is a legal religious organization to the outside world, and even the leading Sage is a great philanthropist.

Officer Jenny can do nothing about this group of people. The speech activity is legal, and the riots caused do not harm citizens, so only economic compensation is needed.

Verbal warnings seem to be of no use to this group of people!

Officer Jenny suppresses her anger and comes to Xiang Guangtai's side: "Are you a Pokémon Trainer? Thank you for suppressing the Pokémon riot here. Your Pokémon is a type that does not exist in Unova!"

She thinks Xiang Guangtai is a Trainer from other regions who intends to challenge the Unova League, and feels that Xiang Guangtai is very capable!

After a round of praise, Officer Jenny claims on her own to give Xiang Guangtai some rewards as a hero who pacified this riot and calmed the Pokémon chaos, and he receives a special medal!

"Thanks to your help, there were no casualties! I hope you don't have a bad impression of Castelia City because of this! Please accept this!"

She is also very glad; if a big mess happened during her working hours, that would be terrible! It's all the evil done by Team Plasma!

Unova is still too free.

So out of personal gratitude, she also gives Xiang Guangtai a TM.

Unlike the TMs in other regions, the number of uses for TMs in the Unova region is unlimited.

A medal, just like a badge of gratitude, is an honorary item of a commendation nature.

It does not have any special power. The one in Xiang Guangtai's hand is a medal awarded by Castelia City to Trainers with outstanding contributions.

【Item: Castelia Medal.】

【Description: Can be obtained by those who contribute to the public security of Castelia City.】

【Effect: An honorary medal; this is an achievement item.】

【Extra Acquisition: Obtained the unique medal of the Unova region for the first time, gained 'Medal Crafting Craft (D—A)'. Medals made by you, engraved with special inscriptions, will produce some gains outside of battle. Because it has an achievement nature, it is valid for life.】

【Note: The Medal Affairs Bureau of Unova is still in preparation. Perhaps you can register one in advance to award special achievements to Trainers in Unova.】

Officer Jenny soon leaves with the Team Plasma Sage and soldiers. Those ordinary soldiers are still indignant before leaving. Of course, the speech stage also begins to be dismantled. As for the female knight knocked unconscious by Xiang Guangtai, she seems to be a middle-level cadre in Team Plasma, and because of the coma, she is sent to the Pokémon Center.

"Please wait a moment."

After the people here are dispersed by the police and it becomes cold again, leaving only the Pokémon, the green-haired man wearing a baseball cap finally takes action.

Xiang Guangtai actually noticed him long ago.

Hey! Great Teacher N!

Even if you wear a baseball cap, who can't see that conspicuous green hair! If others don't know who you are, how could I not know!

"That Pokémon of yours just spoke, right."

After N finishes speaking, he looks at Xiang Guangtai's reaction. Generally speaking, people in the past would say "You must be joking" when hearing this opening line, but at this time Xiang Guangtai has no reaction.

Sure enough, there is no need to test anymore.

"You can also hear the heart of Pokémon, right? Sorry, because of some special reasons, I can hear the heart of Pokémon. You seem to be the same type of existence as me."

"I want to disturb you a little bit. Your Pokémon, its words are very special."

Actually, all three of Xiang Guangtai's Pokémon have wonderful voices, especially that Lilligant, who seems to have special feelings for the Trainer.

But Aegislash's speech is indeed too sharp, so N has to put all his attention on this Pokémon he has never seen before.

He urgently wants to have a discussion with this Pokémon.

"I have never met a Pokémon that can say such things. I didn't expect such a Pokémon to exist... I want to hear its voice more."

"I think we can understand each other."

"Just now you talked to the people of Team Plasma and said that everyone can hear the heart of Pokémon. I think this sentence is wrong."

"If everyone could hear the thoughts in the hearts of Pokémon, there wouldn't be so many villains in the world who use Pokémon."

Xiang Guangtai interrupts N's speech: "Hearing, understanding, and wanting to do so are three things."

"You wouldn't be trying to say that people who can't hear the heart are pitiful people, right?"

N is confused by this rhetorical question.

This person... how could he know what he wanted to say?

"What do you think Pokémon are? Let me hear your answer."

Xiang Guangtai changes the offensive and asks first, making N somewhat at a loss.

He immediately realizes that the person in front of him is not simple!

His little thoughts seem to become transparent in front of the person in front of him.

N is silent for a while, and then gives a standard response:

"They are friends."

"Pokémon locked in Poké Balls will not become complete. As long as Poké Balls exist, Pokémon will never be perfect."

"I want to turn this world into a world of Pokémon, because they are my friends..."

"I treat Pokémon as friends."

Xiang Guangtai nods slightly: "A good answer. There are many Trainers in the world who treat Pokémon this way."

N refutes somewhat urgently:

"Their so-called friends are just binding Pokémon in Poké Balls and forcing Pokémon to do things with their own will."

"And I want to liberate Pokémon from Poké Balls."

"Since they are friends, they shouldn't be bound in narrow balls!"

"The friends I want to become and their friends are different!"

After N finishes speaking, Xiang Guangtai corrects him unhurriedly: "The relationship between humans and Pokémon is not just one kind. Under different social conditions and relationships, different transformations will occur."

"Comrades-in-arms, partners, friends, family..."

"Comrades-in-arms who have become so after experiencing life-and-death tempering several times."

"Partners who recognize each other through difficult tests and long journeys."

"Family members who are inseparable and even become like parents."

This is the first time N has been "mouth-cannon-ed" by someone. He feels that this example seems inappropriate.

"Of course, not just friends, I also want to have a closer relationship with them..."

Xiang Guangtai shakes his head:

"The original bonds have been destroyed, and their history has also been ruined. After their stories and bonds, they claim to be their friends."

"Some bonds can be repaired after being destroyed, while some have no chance of regret after being ruined."

"Because of your choice, not only humans, but even the future fate of Pokémon has been changed."

"Pokémon are creatures that are easily shaken."

"Some humans treat them kindly, and they treat humans kindly in the same way. Many Pokémon do not have the concepts of morality and good and evil in terms of humans."

"They just like you, so they act according to your orders and are loyal to their Trainers and partners, but this cannot explain that what you are doing is right."

"The Pokémon willing to follow you are actually no different in motivation from the Pokémon willing to follow other Trainers."

Xiang Guangtai looks at the surrounding Pokémon. There are also some Pokémon circling around N, but when these Pokémon approach the batch of Pokémon persuaded by Aegislash, the latter show obvious alienation in emotion.

N has never encountered this situation. He tries to convince Xiang Guangtai with facts and actions. When he approaches those Pokémon, he is questioned by those Pokémon.

Who are you?

Why do you want to forge a bond with us?

We clearly have our own friends and partners, family and comrades-in-arms, but now they have abandoned us. Who made them become like this?

These Pokémon say so.

But N tries to communicate with the Pokémon. He is very sincere, which no one can deny. Pokémon are naturally close to him, but the Pokémon in front of him are alienating him, which makes N very confused.

Although in the past, it's not that he hasn't encountered similar Pokémon... this is an unsolvable equation.

"In this world, there are more than one person who can talk to Pokémon. The others I mentioned are not just myself."

"The world is very big and very vast. Just listening to the heart of Pokémon makes it easy to ignore the human heart. Whether it is human history or Pokémon history, it is far less than the history of humans and Pokémon supporting each other."

"Having finally walked out of that narrow castle, shouldn't you listen to other people's voices more? Don't think you are special; arrogance is born this way."

Anabel of the Battle Frontier, the Footprint Man of the Sinnoh region, the people of Michina, the people of the Valley of Creation in Kalos, and even the Elite Four member of Kanto, Bruno, and the Kanto Champion Red, known as the God of Mt. Silver, all have similar powers.

Although they don't have any special abilities, they can also communicate with wild Pokémon through years of training.

"The King of Team Plasma in Unova claims to be able to foresee the past and future of others, but doesn't understand the human heart?"

N is surprised that Xiang Guangtai knows his identity so well. He is silent for a while, but his will has not changed.

"That's right. I am the master of Team Plasma, the 'King' of Team Plasma."

"I was invited by Ghetsis to liberate Pokémon with him."

"In the name of mutual understanding, Trainers are fighting each other, letting Pokémon get hurt. Is it only me who can experience that gentle pain... You think I am arrogant, right? So be it, let me communicate with your Pokémon again."

"I really don't understand the human heart, because I have lived and grown up with Pokémon since I was born, and talking to them is happier than talking to people. Pokémon will never lie."

"Tell me, Aegislash, why exactly do you..."

【Don't call my name casually.】

Aegislash's inner voice rings clearly in N's heart:

【If you want to debate as a 'King', then I can act on your behalf temporarily. My Trainer is a human destined to become a new King, and I will serve him as the King of Pokémon! We will surely establish an ideal kingdom, and your and the liar Ghetsis's country will surely perish.】

【Let me tell you what the 'King' of the original Pokémon represents!】

【The King of Pokémon was born from the flames of war, to protect Pokémon and help weak humans! To ensure the continuation of history and produce new history, the King was given a mission!】

【Your mysterious words make Pokémon's minds confused and addicted to gentleness, giving recognition, destroying bonds, and making Pokémon think that only you know what they are thinking, so as to make them betray their original partners!】

【God said such words: humans and Pokémon are interdependent. If either side produces strong malice, it will lead history to an irreparable tragic end. Humans with higher wisdom are more likely to fall into this abyss.】

【After seeing you, I confirmed this point.】

【The talent of the mind was not used to guide, but used to destroy. Now I know how the ancient country perished.】

"Is God the legendary dragon?"

【It is a more remarkable existence than them. You cannot get that person's attention now.】

"Is that so... You seem to know a lot of things. However, precisely because I have no power now, I can't realize my ideals. I want to have power. Now I can't save all Pokémon and can't solve the equation that can change the world!"

"I need power, the power to make everyone affirm!"

"I know what I need, and that is the power of the legendary Pokémon that will build a nation in this Unova region with the hero! I want to become a hero and become its friend!"

【Don't be stupid.】 Aegislash interrupts N: 【My Trainer once said such a sentence.】

【It's not that you are recognized by everyone after becoming a hero, but that you are a hero after being recognized by everyone.】

【Precisely because of this, you are not yet qualified to be a hero, and naturally cannot possess the qualifications of a King.】

【Go and listen to more people's answers. Don't blindly impose what you think on others. Make a decision after listening. This is beneficial to your physical and mental growth.】

【When the Pokémon around you are with you, the joy they show is no different from other Pokémon! Therefore, you are no different from other humans!】

【Aegislash used Confide on N, N's Sp. Atk fell.】

N's heart and mind are shaken, rippling. After all, this is not a reprimand from a human, but a rejection from a Pokémon!

But he breathes slightly, and after calming his emotions, he still asks back unwillingly:

"Have you ever seen what a hero or a King looks like? I want to become an ideal hero and King, and I will not live up to everyone's expectations of me."

【I have indeed seen it. A thousand years ago, I stayed in an ancient kingdom. Although people in ancient times were stupid, they obtained the life of Pokémon and entrusted their own lives. They lived together, died together, and passed away together.】

【You, do you want to try it? People in ancient times were all on the path of battle with Pokémon, even braver than Pokémon. How about fighting with me? Under the witness of many Pokémon, this is a duel between Kings. You won't be afraid, right?】

Aegislash's single eye flashes with a strange light.

However, before N can answer, Xiang Guangtai waves his hand and stops this proposal.

It's useless. If Great Teacher N is so obsessive that he takes Zekrom's Bolt Strike with his face like in the special manga, then even if you bombard Great Teacher N with Iron Head, he won't have any complaints. After all, "it's all for mutual understanding with Pokémon," right?

Actually, this is really a serious way of understanding. After all, Professor Kukui of the Alola region, as well as Elite Four Bruno, and even Ash, they all do this.

Before Great Teacher N recognizes his own heart, mouth-cannon can only make him slightly shaken and produce some self-doubt, and then he will run to practice to verify this point.

So in some respects, Great Teacher N was just brainwashed and closed by Ghetsis for too long. As long as someone guides him slightly, his transformation will be very fast.

But the premise is to defeat Great Teacher N.

If using mental purification... Xiang Guangtai is not sure how much impact this shot can have on Great Teacher N.

It would be bad if he was beaten into another kind of extreme obsessive person.

Because Great Teacher N's worldview is somewhat different from ordinary people—villain leaders generally have a stubborn new view of the world.

Under Xiang Guangtai's mental muttering, Aegislash understands the extreme degree of the person in front of him and can't help but ponder.

Ah, to this extent, should I say he is extremely obsessive, or his belief is firm... These two don't seem to conflict.

"Not a King who exists for pure ideals, but a King who exists for real life."

"However, without ideals, there is no reality. Abandoning either side, this world cannot be perfect. In the Unova nation-building legend, the reason why the two princes failed is precisely because they lacked the other half of life."

"Talking while looking into each other's eyes can convey thoughts to each other. Humans and Pokémon are the same. Thinking that you can hear 'heart sounds' and understand Pokémon better than others is the root of arrogance."

"The reality and ideals pursued by people, and the reality and ideals pursued by Pokémon, are completely different."

"Thousands of histories are born because of this, and countless encounters and stories are produced in this way."

"Even if they are completely identical humans, living in different worlds will have great changes."

"A King who doesn't understand the human heart cannot save Pokémon from human hands. If you can become a Pokémon, then you can also become a real person."

Xiang Guangtai hands over a cut square white stone, about the size of a palm.

"Looking from different positions, facts will also change."

"Accepting different ideas and different existences, if you want to become a real King or hero, you must accept this step."

"Excluding others is not something a King should do. Pokémon and people need each other's existence, which is why there are destined encounters."

N takes it silently and suspiciously.

"This is the 'Bai Shi of Gratitude.' If you have someone you want to thank, engrave the other party's name and what you want to write. No matter how far apart in time and space, this gratitude will surely be conveyed to the other party's heart."

"If you want to know the human heart, go use this item."
