Chapter 249: Psychic Power Great Enhancement

On the outskirts of Striaton City, the ruins of a huge research institute are abandoned here. It can be vaguely seen that the ruins here were "blown" into this state by some explosion.

Overloaded research on dream energy led to the explosion of the institute. Now only bare ruins and the basement hidden underground remain. In the depths of the ruins, there are still researchers and psychics conducting research, while outside are some children playing.

The abandoned building has become a playground for children.

The skeleton of steel bars has blue-gray rust spots under the sun, and the spires that once cut through the clouds are now curled like the roots of old trees.

"Yo! Outside trainer, come and battle with me!"

"Ah! Are you Professor Juniper? I'm so sorry!"

Such remarks sounded around Guangtai, but fortunately, the appearance of Professor Juniper made those young people who longed for battle stop in time. When asked why they wanted to initiate a challenge, the answer of these children was very short and powerful:

"When the eyes of trainers meet, a battle must begin!"

The leading shorts boy, Gorou, seems to be the child king in this area, with two Patrats and a Lillipup, immersed in battles every day and unable to extricate himself.

"I'm going to challenge the Unova League later! I have a clear goal, and with Pokémon accompanying me, I won't be discouraged no matter what happens!"

"Alright, everyone continue to battle!"

Although very young, the love for Pokémon is not false at all. Guangtai can also feel the heat in his heart. The heart is very pure, full of expectations and yearning for the future.

What, what is called unable to survive without fighting?

Guangtai silently complained in his heart, and soon everyone arrived near the basement.

In the game, in the basement in the depths of the Ruins of Dreams, a Musharna with a hidden ability will appear every Friday, and Fennel's goal, currently, should be this one.

It's just that when entering the basement, Guangtai saw an important part that had to be tasted here—

Psychics jumping around!

In the game, the trainers in the depths of the Ruins of Dreams have a setting, that is, as long as they are in action, they will actively avoid fighting with the protagonist!

That's right, this is the only batch of trainers who will not actively initiate attacks, and will even run away!

"What are they jumping around for? Are they doing some mysterious ritual?"

Professor Juniper's timely complaint made Guangtai not make a sound.

Simply her own mouthpiece.

"Hmm, over there... Let me see, ah, Sachiko!"

Fennel found a female researcher she knew. Although she was very excited and wanted to express to the other party that the research on the C-Gear had made progress, she was told by Guangtai not to talk nonsense, so she could only hold it back hard and ask the other party if she had seen Musharna recently.

Sachiko, one of the female researchers in the basement in the game, she does have a level 60 Musharna, but according to the lines of the researchers in the basement, this Musharna was likely caught within a few months after Fennel invented the C-Gear.

So the current Sachiko only has a Jigglypuff.

"Hmm, Musharna? Speaking of which, I have seen it recently. It should be last Friday, but it disappeared quickly. What do you want to find it for?"

"Still want to study the Dream World? Oh my, Professor, you are still thinking about this kind of thing. We have already confirmed the infeasibility of this matter through several psychics. The Dream World is already hopeless."

"The key research project now is the effect of psychic power and human subconscious... Although we also study dreams, it is different from the Dream World you mentioned. There is still a large amount of incredible energy remaining here. Psychics also feel that this is a good place to exercise psychic power."

"The dream of a psychic can interfere with subconscious activities and repair psychological trauma... This is the kind of research."

The basement of the ruins is not as messy as in the game. These researchers and psychics still live here, so the basement has long been transformed into a basement apartment model suitable for living.

As for the broken walls on the surface, there is no way.

"Indeed, the incredible power here has made my power rise slightly."

Guangtai felt the activity of his mental ability. At the same time, his spiritual ability also became much stronger, perhaps because dreams are related to the subconscious, will, and soul.

And those psychics also discovered Guangtai. They felt the powerful power emanating from Guangtai in unison!

This made their eyes light up!

"Powerful psychic, are you also here to feel the incredible dream power and then exercise yourself?"

"Do you want to have a Pokémon battle?"

These psychics are eager to try. They have been doing research here for a long time. Some people have stayed here to practice since the Dream Research Institute was destroyed. They think their training of their psychic power and Pokémon power has reached perfection.

"No, if we fight here, the basement of this ruin will be completely destroyed."

Guangtai refused these invitations to battle. After all, it would be bad if Musharna was scared away. His Pokémon all master high-power moves, and this basement really can't necessarily withstand the impact of two powerful Pokémon.

This is not a game. It would be over if it collapsed.

The psychics felt it was a pity, but they were not battle fanatics, so they quickly changed the topic to the cultivation of psychic power. Through conversation with these psychics, Guangtai learned a lot about the use of psychic power.

They don't have the psychic power as strong as Caitlin, Will, and Sabrina. Their use of psychic power is still limited to basic telekinesis and object transfer, as well as shallow future prediction.

【Obtained: Insights of Psychic Hope/Psychic Tatsumi/Psychic Future!】

【Description: This is the knowledge you obtained after communicating with three psychics!】

【Effect: Hope's Psychic Power—Mental strength and toughness +50%; Tatsumi's Psychic Power—Psychic defense and counterattack +50%; Future's Psychic Power—Prediction power +10%, Cursing power +20%, Seeing-through power +20%.】

【Note: After battling with any psychic, you may obtain primary telekinesis rewards.】

"Really, I just refused them."

Guangtai shook his head.

Alright, let's have a little sparring with them when we go out later.

And hearing that Guangtai's psychic power is a very rare mental ability, the interest of these psychics was aroused again!

"Eh, a psychic power that can shake the soul? I've never heard of it. Can you use it on me?"

The psychic named Hope pointed at himself:

"Speaking of which, I recently felt that my mental state has declined. The incredible energy in this ruin seems to be mixed with something else, which is very strange... This will affect our mental state."

Hope indicated that the Ruins of Dreams have had unusual movements recently, but they couldn't find the source of the problem and could only eliminate it slowly by themselves. Theoretically, exercising here every day and making the sleeping power awaken should make one feel happy, rather than sometimes feeling emotionally low like now...

It's like... being troubled by some nightmare!

"Hmm, if you need it, then I'll start."

Guangtai aimed his palm at Hope.

Mind Crush!

Bang!

Hope's squinting eyes suddenly widened. In an instant, he felt a "negative emotion" in his heart explode like a shattered mirror!

"Oh! This, what is this!"

"I used 'Mind Crush' to shatter the dark side of your heart. You should be able to feel it now..." Guangtai said, and then immediately saw the super power surging on Hope!

Those materialized, light pink psychic fluctuations rose on Hope, and the latter became emotionally high!

"My sleeping power has awakened! My god, my mental state has never been this good! Thank you so much!"

"Oh oh, is this the psychic power sleeping in my body? I... Drink!"

Hope aimed at the iron door on the side, reached out his hand, and a palm print appeared on the iron door with a bang!

What a powerful psychic power!

Even Guangtai was stunned for a long time.

Helping psychics perform Mind Crush, didn't expect it could also make their emotions and power stronger?

Speaking of which, it is indeed such a setting. Some psychics' psychic power comes from the "Wall of Heart". Sabrina and Caitlin used to have more or less psychological problems, but the more isolated they were, the stronger their psychic power became.

So, that's why I sold Calyrex dolls to them before and had a good therapeutic effect on them.

And now... has my ability surpassed Calyrex?

Ah, it just surpassed the doll.

And while Mind Crush shattered their dark side of the heart, it also destroyed the wall of the heart, just like turning the faucet to the maximum, making the psychic power gush out?

"So strong! I, I, I, next is me!" The female psychic Future hurried up, and another psychic, Tatsumi, was not to be outdone: "Actually, I have also been emotionally unstable and mentally low recently. Please treat me! Master!"

Master?!

This kind of liar title is unnecessary!

Under the strong request of the two psychics, Guangtai grabbed one with each hand and used Mind Crush on them at the same time!

"Woah, I saw the future! There will be a heavy rain in three days! My dream is to be able to predict all the future!"

"This is my power, so powerful, look at the barrier I projected! It's very powerful, right? It has the same effect as mirror reflection!"

These two also entered a state of madness immediately. The great improvement in psychic power made them extremely excited, and the psychic Future, in a state of emotional excitement, also wanted to see Guangtai's future, but was hit back by the knowledge of "Psychic Counterattack". Her head went dizzy, and she almost fainted on the spot!

"Ah! Can't foresee your future! Your future is mysterious! My head hurts so much!"

Future held her head and squatted down, causing the other two to laugh.

Guangtai sighed.

It's future prediction again. The psychics I encountered all treat this as a unique skill and a power to facilitate life. However, even powerful psychics like Elite Four Will and Caitlin cannot foresee him.

Speaking of which, helping them perform Mind Crush, does this not count as a battle?

"Hey hey! Everyone, I persuaded Sachiko, she agreed to help us find Musharna together!"

On the other side, under Fennel's pestering, Sachiko finally agreed to help Fennel catch Musharna and restart the research, but she was still very reluctant, just emphasizing that this was only once, and if it failed, she would absolutely not look back to conduct research.

"Eh, the Dream World is just a broken dream. For us, it is very uncomfortable to invest in a research project with no prospects."

"You follow me, I will take you to the location where that Pokémon appears, it should be in this direction..."

The basement in the Ruins of Dreams is very large, and the researchers and psychics only use a very small part, not even one-third. This point is different from the game.

In a place where the ceiling is broken, emerald plants grow wildly. After the artificial objects were destroyed, the power of nature took over here. Vines climbed on the walls, and the cables embedded in the basalt had become spiral twins entangled with tree roots.

The retreat of human traces and the recovery of nature, the area that was once full of magnificent industrial structures, completely disappeared and became a prosperous natural scene.

"That Musharna appears in this vicinity."

Sachiko looked at the area covered by nature in front of her. Every time she came near here, she would feel emotional in her heart.

Human power is not worth mentioning in front of the power of nature.

"But how to find it..."

Fennel opened the instrument she brought: "I have an instrument here to detect the 'dream fluctuation' of Munna. Leave this matter to me!"

The research institute had conducted research on Munna before. After the institute exploded, that Munna returned to nature, and no one could find it anymore.

However, Fennel still had its data. At this time, Guangtai suddenly thought that Professor Fennel should have a Munna, but the level was very low, only level 10.

It seems that at the current point in time, Munna has not returned to Professor Fennel's side, or Fennel has not recaptured it.

In the anime, Professor Fennel also possesses this Munna.

The instrument began to survey the surrounding environment.

"Let's help too, Riolu, use aura."

Beside Guangtai, Riolu began to close its eyes, and invisible aura power radiated from its body.

"Right! It's aura!" Fennel glanced at the blue puppy and clapped her hands: "You said before that aura can be used to investigate the surrounding environment and see through objects!"

Riolu's aura scanned the surroundings like a detector. Cooperating with Professor Fennel's instrument, it quickly investigated the existence of Pokémon in the environment nearby. However, this aura detection made some sensitive Pokémon restless. They poked their heads out from the grass, ruins, and vines, and saw the many humans who appeared here abruptly.

"There are actually so many Pokémon here. After the ruins left by humans were swallowed by nature, have Pokémon also regarded this place as a new home?"

Professor Juniper's eyes lit up.

And Guangtai knew why Professor Juniper was so happy.

Because the "Origin" project that Professor Juniper is investigating also includes the content of Pokémon habitats. This point is similar to the research direction of Professor Birch in the Hoenn region.

In Black 2 and White 2, Professor Juniper's father will upgrade the Pokédex for the protagonist at the protagonist's home. After upgrading to the National Pokédex, the "Habitat" function will be added, allowing you to view the Pokémon that can be caught in each location.

If you catch all kinds of Pokémon in this location, a solid Poké Ball stamp will be marked on the right.

"Raticate... Ariados... Ledian... Kricketune... Patrat..."

Swish!

A light shone over suddenly. A Pokémon was detected by the instrument. I don't know why it was very annoyed. It suddenly jumped out of the grass, and the intense light flickered, reflecting a terrifying face!

The doctors were startled. However, Guangtai waved his hand, Riolu stopped the aura detection and directly used Mind's Eye + Quick Attack!

It punched the Pokémon that was emitting intense light. The latter was knocked to the ground by Riolu. Looking closely, it was not a terrifying monster, but a stressed Watchog.

Watchog will use the luminous substance in its body to make the patterns on its eyeballs and body shine, thereby intimidating enemies and making attacking enemies flinch.

That said, it does not have the Intimidate ability.

The ability of this one is undoubtedly "Illuminate". The accuracy rate ability change will not be lowered by the opponent in any way, ignoring the improvement of the target's evasion rate ability change, and it is easier to encounter wild Pokémon.

After being punched by Riolu, Watchog became more irritable!

It was as if it had been angered by someone before, Watchog rushed toward Riolu suddenly!

Move, Super Fang!

Bite the opponent firmly with sharp front teeth to attack. Sometimes makes the opponent flinch!

Riolu dodged nimbly, used Quick Attack to get behind it, and under Guangtai's command, an Aura Sphere hit its back firmly!

For Normal-type Pokémon, Fighting-type attacks are very effective. Watchog was knocked to the ground by the Aura Sphere, but it did not lose its ability to battle. Instead, it quickly adjusted its posture, although it was indeed seriously injured!

"Eh, wasn't it knocked down? The growth level of this Watchog is very high."

That is to say, the level is very high.

Watchog's eyes flashed with strange ripples, and Guangtai, who has a sense of mental energy, recognized that move!

It's "Hypnosis"!

Riolu dodged the hypnotic fluctuation, and at the same time used Copycat with its backhand!

Copycat · Hypnosis!

Watchog did not expect Riolu to be able to copy its moves. Without any defense, it was hit by Hypnosis, its eyes dizzy, and it fell to the ground with a thud, entering a sleep state!

"Phew! Why did this Pokémon suddenly attack!"

"Hey, wait, we are surrounded by Pokémon!"

Professor Juniper was originally observing the surrounding Pokémon, but she suddenly found that the surrounding Pokémon were gathering more and more!

"Ah wu!" Riolu stood back quickly. The blue puppy very politely stopped them from moving forward.

There was faint hostility in the aura of these Pokémon. Facing Riolu's inquiry, they were unwilling to answer, just wanting to fight!

And at this time, the appearance of Aegislash made them stop.

The king of Pokémon has a rallying power for Pokémon. The surrounding Pokémon felt that huge power, and the energy that made them feel close.

"The Pokémon stopped, just like the scene that appeared on the news!"

Professor Juniper was surprised: "How did your Pokémon do this... It shouldn't know the Pokémon here."

Guangtai: "My Aegislash is the 'King' of Pokémon. King is a special kind of Pokémon that possesses the power to command other Pokémon."

King, a type of Pokémon never heard of. Professor Juniper stared intently at Aegislash's actions, and Guangtai's explanation came to her ears:

"Aegislash is appeasing those Pokémon. The detection has no results, so we need to ask the Pokémon. These Pokémon said that a group of people was conducting research that harms Pokémon here not long ago, so they mistook us for that group of humans."

"How can this be, we have never conducted any research that harms wild Pokémon." Sachiko felt something was wrong. They, the researchers of the Dream Ruins, usually don't come to this area covered by plants and nature!

And recent research has turned to psychics, and research on Pokémon dreams has long since stopped!

And Aegislash and Riolu were communicating with wild Pokémon, conveying Sachiko's words, and at the same time asking these wild Pokémon if they had seen Musharna or Munna.

The Pokémon whispered to each other, but finally decided to follow the King's will and head to a certain area.

And after Sachiko heard it, she immediately remembered:

"That is the core area of the former research institute. After the explosion, nothing should be left there."

"No, there are still things left there."

Guangtai suddenly spoke: "There are still 'dreams' there."

"Dreams?" Sachiko was puzzled.

Guangtai explained:

"The Ruins of Dreams used to be a research institute, and also a factory. In order to make certain things, people who pursued 'dreams' day and night worked hard here for 'dreams'. But when everything disappeared, what was left here were just those 'dreams'."

"That's right, among the incredible power left by the explosion, there should be countless dreams wandering here!"

"Wow, it sounds very romantic!" Fennel clapped her hands: "Sure enough, your idea is consistent with mine! I also think that people's dreams are also left here! As long as we can get Dream Mist, we can connect people's dreams!"

"That's right." Guangtai nodded: "People's dreams will not end!"

Between the conversations, everyone had arrived at that area, and Musharna, sleeping under the light of the ceiling, was emitting strange pink smoke from its head. Around it, countless phantoms gathered and dissipated like quicksand. This was the first time everyone saw those "dreams" directly!

And in the game, in order to rescue Munna, Musharna used its power to conjure up Ghetsis's phantom, scaring away Team Plasma's grunts.

"Dreams turned into reality! That is Musharna's power!"

Fennel was excited. She began to take out a Poké Ball, intending to catch it, but at this moment, Riolu suddenly looked in a certain direction!

Aura felt hostility!

And the blue crystal pendant on Guangtai's chest also emitted light! A wave that disturbed mental power was transmitted from the darkness!

【Attacked by nightmare radio waves! You have become immune to the negative state of mental power weakening!】

At the same time, the surrounding Pokémon showed painful expressions one after another and ran away quickly!

However, Professor Juniper, Professor Fennel, and Sachiko all covered their heads in pain. That strange signal made them unbearable.

At the same time, everyone also heard a voice:

"Dreams turned into reality, so there is such a thing! Our research direction is indeed correct!"

A group of researchers walked out from another piece of darkness. At the same time, different moves were stirred up from the darkness, and they began to attack Guangtai and his party!

Various moves set off shocks and smoke. This area seemed to be about to be destroyed, and among that group of researchers, stood an old man wearing sage robes.

"I have been observing since these people entered the basement and the old experimental area. Now it seems it is indeed correct. The young man in the lead is consistent with N's description. What he is looking for is actually such an important thing."

"And it's really unexpected that the demonstration we conducted here would suddenly get a return... Being able to turn dreams into reality, this kind of Pokémon is exactly what Team Plasma needs."

"Hmm?"

Sage Zinzolin originally felt that this attack would be foolproof, but after the dust dissipated, a huge golden shield blocked all the attacks!

King's Shield!

Aegislash's gaze carried a terrifying sense of oppression, and Sage Zinzolin's squinted eyes also opened a slit.

"That Pokémon is... could it be the 'King' of Pokémon mentioned in the previous intelligence."

"It's really tricky... Since that's the case, let me hold it back, you go catch Musharna."

"Come out, Cofagrigus!"
