Chapter 266: Shining Nimbasa Badge!

Elesa's invitation was something Xiang Guangtai didn't expect, and the enthusiastic atmosphere in the venue didn't seem to allow Xiang Guangtai to refuse, and some people even wrote jealous expressions on their faces.

"Ah! Elesa's fashion battle show! Sometimes this kind of situation will happen!"

Yancy seemed to know quite a bit about these things. For her, whether it was the Battle Subway or the fashion show, they were actually the content she liked. It's just that the proportion of battles was slightly higher.

Xiang Guangtai had no choice but to board the stage, and Elesa had already completed the first round of the show at this time and returned to the largest area of the stage.

This scene, this composition... suddenly gave Xiang Guangtai some déjà vu.

Ah... shouldn't this be... the content that Nate, the protagonist of Black and White 2, demonstrated in the promotional video!

Board the stage, then Elesa takes off the outer dress, followed by the link to the battle!

This is the fashion battle show on the fashion show!

"Welcome to this shining stage!"

Elesa put one hand on her hip, matching the dress she was wearing, quite beautiful, tilted her head slightly and introduced to Xiang Guangtai:

"So-called battle is not just fighting, but a performance that shows that person's everything! Changing clothes is the basic of a fashion show. And in my show, Pokémon battle is also a must! The battle field is my stage!"

"My cute Pokémon, and your Pokémon, who is the real shining star?"

"Decide the winner here!"

When the lines were finished, the whole venue burst into endless cheers. Elesa's fans shouted happily, but some people in the audience also felt that Xiang Guangtai was very familiar, and only after looking carefully did they find...

Ah... this person seems to be?!

"Hey, he seems to be that genius artist, isn't he? And also a news celebrity."

"Speaking of which, Elesa's clothes seem to be designed by him!"

"This choice of opponent is really not random! It turns out to be a duel between a designer and a model! Good, good, good, fight!"

"Sorry to invite you so suddenly, but I know you." Elesa smiled: "The genius artist who designed this dress, Burgh told me about you, I really want to see you."

"Let me introduce myself, I am the trainer of Nimbasa Gym, Elesa."

"It's really surprising that this dress can cause such a big response!"

Xiang Guangtai: "That's because Elesa is relatively beautiful as a model. Beautiful clothes match beautiful people. This is 'Adaptability'."

"Ah... not bad, it's 'Adaptability'!" Elesa seemed somewhat surprised. She didn't expect Xiang Guangtai to say such things, but this also made her interest high:

"However, as a model, I can feel it slightly. In the cheers of the people below, their emotions are higher than every time in the past. This is definitely not just because of me. The extra part must be attributed to your design!"

"So... being able to wear this dress, the one who should say honored is me! This battle... really makes me feel happy, I hope you can enjoy it, and then, I hope you can design more clothes with unique colors!"

Although Elesa looks like an ice beauty, she is actually a very outgoing girl, and no one even knows that she is actually a cold joke king.

Xiang Guangtai could see that her emotions were unusually high at this time, and even her cheeks were flushed because of the change in emotions. That was a manifestation of strong emotional changes, and immediately following, she released her Pokémon!

Zebstrika, Emolga, and... Luxray!

Hmm, it's the World Championship lineup!

Xiang Guangtai really wanted to say that since it is a performance, there is no need to be serious, but looking at Elesa's excited emotions, she really seemed to want to have a serious competition with him!

Probably because she heard that he defeated Burgh who went all out, so she was eager to try!

Since that's the case...

Xiang Guangtai's Poké Ball opened and sent out the first Pokémon!

Lilligant!

Speaking of which, will this be regarded as a "display"? It should be considered, after all, Elesa is wearing the clothes he designed, although that dress is a replica of the original version.

【Connected Task: Complete Elesa's fashion battle performance!】

【Description: The clothes you designed have captured the heart of the Unova supermodel Elesa, and also gathered a lot of human hearts. Now the Gym Leader has taken the initiative to send you a battle invitation!】

【Rewards: Release Orb x3, Electric Brilliance x1, Artistic Talent x1, TM (Wild Charge), Volt Badge x1!】

Elesa's eyes lit up:

"The first one is Lilligant! I heard from Burgh, that is the ancient form of Lilligant, right, possessing gorgeous dance and kicking skills! Then my first one, go, Zebstrika!"

Under Elesa's command and the cheers around, Zebstrika was the first to take the field. Compared with the humanoid Pokémon with two legs, it had an advantage in speed, and Xiang Guangtai remembered that this Zebstrika should know a particularly quality move...

Elesa: "Flame Charge!"

Sure enough, it's that Zebstrika!

And not only does it know Flame Charge, it even knows Overheat!

Because Grass-type resists Electric-type, it even learned two Fire-type skills to deal with Grass-type!

However!

"Gym Leader Burgh seems to have not explained some things clearly."

Zebstrika, wrapped in flames, rushed towards Lilligant. Flame Charge, let the flames cover the whole body, attack the opponent. Accumulate power to increase your speed. 100% increases the user's speed by one stage!

It slammed into Lilligant, but was blocked by Lilligant with its leaves!

"Eh?!" Elesa was shocked. She reflected the scene in front of her in her eyes. The leaves of that ancient form of Lilligant flashed with green light blades, and then... became even more shining!

Fire-type moves are ineffective? And that glowing leaf is probably... Synthesis!

"My Lilligant has a very high resistance to Fire-type, so, the battle is over."

Lilligant's double leaves suddenly exerted force, and that Zebstrika was thrown directly into the air by it!

And then—Close Wu Dou! The gorgeous martial arts dance hit like a storm, Zebstrika let out a scream and was knocked to the ground from the sky, and Lilligant's offensive did not decrease, lifting its slender and powerful legs, turning into an ice whirlwind with strange movements, and kicked fiercely towards Zebstrika!

Triple Axel! Zebstrika was knocked away at a very fast speed. Xiang Guangtai didn't dare to let this quality Pokémon stay on the field, and ended the battle with the greatest power in an instant!

Because Zebstrika's hidden ability is Sap Sipper, and Xiang Guangtai doesn't remember the ability of this quality Zebstrika, so he couldn't use Grass-type moves.

"Defeated..." Elesa stood in place, and it took a long time to come back to her senses. She had never been defeated so quickly, although it was only the first one defeated, but where did this unreal feeling come from?

But it's very interesting!

"Come back, Zebstrika, failure is not your problem but my fault, you are already very shining."

Elesa sighed slightly and collected Zebstrika into the Poké Ball. And N in the audience also heard Zebstrika's heart voice.

Failure in battle is a common occurrence, everyone has gone through it, being defeated so quickly, it is unexpectedly a bit nostalgic...

"Nostalgic? Nostalgic for the self who worked hard to train when weak..."

"This Zebstrika and the Electric Gym Leader met on a rainy day... On the way home after the shooting, I accidentally got lost. At that time, it was suddenly raining heavily... Just when I didn't know what to do, I heard the cry of a Pokémon, and then Zebstrika came out of the grass."

"Zebstrika's mane was shining after being struck by lightning. This encounter is destined..."

"Mr. N!" Yancy pulled N's clothes and whispered to N: "Don't say it if you listen to the heart of Pokémon. I think this is not good, it's like peeping into other people's past."

"Ah, sorry." N coughed lightly and protected the two trophies in front of his chest.

It was just because that Zebstrika was muttering in the Poké Ball, so N listened for a while longer.

"Ha! That's why it's interesting! Your Pokémon is really shining, I'm going to be fascinated by her dance!"

Elesa snapped her fingers. She realized at this time that the genius artist in front of her was not a simple person. Burgh's evaluation was not wrong. As long as you are slightly distracted during the battle, you will be defeated, and Elesa felt that it was not that Burgh didn't explain Xiang Guangtai's strength, but...

In just a few days, Xiang Guangtai became stronger than before!

The dance of that ancient form of Lilligant... the martial arts skills like a storm, without losing elegance and gorgeousness. If you go to participate in the performance competition, you will definitely become a big star soon, right?

No, now is not the time to be fascinated by the opponent's Pokémon!

Under Elesa's command, the second Emolga entered the field.

Emolga, similar to a flying squirrel. Its body is mainly composed of white, with black eyes, a small nose, and two yellow electric sacs. The round big ears on the top of the head are black, and the inside of the ears has yellow and white parts.

The attribute is Electric + Flying!

Flying attribute has a 4x restraint advantage over Grass + Wu Dou attribute. However, Xiang Guangtai took Lilligant back and sent out the second one.

Riolu, carrying a Covert Cloak and looking like a chivalrous man, appeared.

Preventing the additional effects of the opponent's moves, the Covert Cloak is absolutely indispensable. And if you give Riolu another hat, you can really cos the hero of the aura.

"Wu Dou attribute? A different strategy than before? Wu Dou is very disadvantageous against Flying... However, I won't make the same mistake as just now! Let me see what kind of shining appearance your Pokémon will fight with!"

"This Riolu is also what I saw in Burgh's work. The hero of the storm refers to it, right. I know very well that this Riolu has a unique Copycat, which can imitate any move."

Elesa got a lot of information from Burgh. In fact, this is mainly because she went to visit Burgh's art exhibition that day and saw several sketches, which would be drawn into excellent works later, and several of Xiang Guangtai's Pokémon were among them.

"Let me fascinate you! Emolga, Attract!"

Elesa's Emolga is female. She threw a wink at Riolu, and suddenly groups of pink hearts rotated towards Riolu like starlight!

Move · Attract. Male seduces female, or female seduces male, making the opponent fascinated. The opponent will be very difficult to use moves, invalid for the same sex. A Pokémon in a fascinated state has a 50% chance of being unable to act when choosing to use a move.

However, in reality, once in a fascinated state, it is almost 100% unable to act. Ash made a similar mistake when he challenged the Nimbasa Gym later.

However—!

"Aura release."

Riolu ignored the pink hearts flying over. The triple aura formed a powerful fluctuation position, directly blocking the Attract move outside!

"Protect? No, that's not... what is that? A Riolu that can use aura?"

For most people, Lucario is a relatively rare Pokémon, and a Riolu that can use aura is even rarer! Therefore, Elesa had never seen such a Pokémon, and Emolga was also stunned in the air. When looking at Riolu, a powerful momentum made her panic!

What is this pressure?!

Xiang Guangtai looked at the triple aura released by Riolu, thinking that if the appearance of the aura was slightly changed, isn't this the AT field heart wall?

"Aura is a spiritual power, it has many uses, can create barriers, and can also be used to attack. Usually, all fluctuation-type moves we say are an application of aura."

"For example—"

Xiang Guangtai's words stopped abruptly, and Riolu closed its eyes, its thoughts drifting to the distant sky, towards the sky, towards the higher place of the sky, that is the power of the universe!

Star Aura, link!

Powerful blue-purple brilliance surged on Riolu's claws!

Dragon Pulse!

"Protect!" Elesa was startled and hurriedly let Emolga use the Protect move, but the speed of Dragon Pulse was too fast. The pale green light shield had not yet expanded, and Emolga was hit directly by Dragon Pulse and knocked to the ceiling!

"Hmm, the quality of the ceiling is also very powerful. Those steel materials and structures didn't tremble at all, hard as if it were a texture..."

Xiang Guangtai complained about the quality of the building materials here again, and Emolga flew out from the smoke, looking at the handsome Riolu below with horrified eyes.

So powerful, so powerful! It's been a long time since I met such a powerful Pokémon!

Emolga's fighting desire also began to rise. Although that blow just now caused her great damage, she could still continue to fight!

"Actually, there is a Riolu that can use Dragon Pulse? What on earth is your Pokémon...?!"

"Quick Attack! Then Thunder Wave!"

Emolga turned into a very fast beam of light, however, Riolu was the same at this time!

Quick Attack vs. Quick Attack!

Both sides collided at super high speed, and Thunder Wave hit successfully, but nothing happened!

Immune to subsequent additional effects!

"That is the Covert Cloak?" Elesa's eyes narrowed. She actually heard about this item from Burgh, but the one just now was also intended to test it personally. Now it seems that the additional effects will indeed be immune, so...

"Acrobatics!"

The item carried by Elesa's Emolga is Flying Gem. This item will enhance the power of a Flying-type move once, and after use, it will fall into a no-item state. At this time, the power of Acrobatics will further increase!

"Similar fighting spirit and determination also appeared on Elesa... but it was not as powerful as Hilbert and Hilda. This should be the power produced when the heart is one with Pokémon. It should be an ability that everyone possesses."

"The people in the Pokémon world are really magical."

Xiang Guangtai thought silently, and facing Emolga rushing over with fancy flying, Riolu stood in place and didn't move at all.

In the rock cave of cultivation, when it was still in a wild state, Riolu had encountered a similar dilemma.

The most common things in the cave are the Zubat family, Crobat, Golbat, etc.

They flew around wildly, rushing from all directions!

And in this process, if you can dodge all their attacks, then the ability you master is naturally—aura!

Aura has the ability to detect the surrounding environment. Don't take out moves that are not guaranteed to hit!

Riolu dodged slightly, directly avoiding Emolga's attack, and then turned its small claws, directly grabbing Emolga's tail!

Throw—not throwing items, but Pokémon!

Riolu's strength is very great. This is not so much a throw as a smash. Emolga was thrown away directly, life is like a candle in the wind, but still unyielding, re-encouraged, and flew back again with the posture of Acrobatics!

Can't let the trainer down.

Absolutely not!

How can you fall off the stage in such a miserable posture!

That Riolu, absolutely, absolutely must beat it, at least let it know that I am also very powerful!

Emolga's unyielding heart voice was heard by N. N watched this Pokémon, watching her last gorgeous air dance, that violent air vortex gathered around Emolga, and while using Acrobatics, she also linked other moves!

Air Cutter!

She merged with Air Cutter herself, her small body erupted with huge energy, and rushed fiercely towards that messenger of aura!

Elesa also didn't give an order at this time, but in a trance, she felt that she could hear Emolga's voice, just thinking about doing so in her heart, and then Emolga really seemed to understand her meaning, completing this incredible attack combination!

Yes! It's the role of the clothes on her body! Burgh said that this dress has the ability to soothe Pokémon, make the wearer and Pokémon communicate with each other, and can convey one's heart.

Although she is wearing a replica made by Burgh, the fabrics used and the methods of making are all the correct methods left by the genius artist in front of her, so, even if it is a replica, it should also have some original effects!

It must be like this!

"Go!" Elesa was joyful, excited, and high-spirited!

And in Emolga's eyes, Riolu had a dark and deep universe appearing around it, powerful malice surging around Riolu, the hero seemed to have turned into a demon king at this time, and that dark lightning-like fluctuation power was released with amazing momentum!

Star Aura · Dark Pulse!

The fierce aura swept the stage, the audience hurriedly closed their eyes and blocked their arms in front of them, and Emolga's air linkage skill was blocked by Dark Pulse, and was hard-pushed back!

Elesa's heart hung high.

She saw the shining will displayed by her Pokémon, that unyielding heart, which had never appeared in previous gym battles!

Burgh said Xiang Guangtai is a psychic related to the heart, so, could it be that even her own mood now... unconsciously... was mobilized!

Her own heart and the Pokémon's heart are one!

Wild Charge!

Swish! Powerful lightning power surged on Emolga's body, incorporating strong electric light into Acrobatics, tearing open the dark cosmic malice, trying, working hard, and constantly rushing forward!

The glorious light and the deep dark malice of the universe collided and twisted, causing a huge explosion, and the moment the explosion started, Riolu used Quick Attack, rushing to Emolga at the fastest speed!

Terrain Pulse!

The orange-yellow beam erupted in the form of a halo. Emolga was shaken by this blow and fell to the end of the stage!

The shining electric light gradually dissipated, leaving only the ripples of aura. Those smokes could not stop the Pokémon with aura power from observing, and could accurately detect where the opponent's true body was.

"The second one lost."

"Emolga."

Elesa looked at her Emolga falling down in a daze. The shining brilliance and the cold malice had not yet dissipated in the depths of her eyes, but the situation on the battlefield changed rapidly, and even the cheers of the surrounding audience faded a lot.

Hey, it seems the situation is not good. Elesa is not going to lose?

This kind of thing happens occasionally, but it hasn't happened much, but the battle just now was really magnificent! Yes, it should be described as such!

This battle fashion show was really enjoyable. That challenger, that genius artist is really... powerful!

"Yes... powerful brilliance!"

"Simply a shining star, so dazzling... We are also shining, but the brightness of the stars is weaker than the other party..."

"Really... I haven't... been so excited and happy for a long time!"

Elesa completely forgot at this time that this battle competition was a performance show. As a model, she usually only pays attention to her career and battles, but now, she suddenly feels that compared to performance, the battle in front of her is what she wants most!

Want to see more, more dazzling light! Want to win, this feeling has never appeared before, so intensely wanting to win!

"Luxray!"

Luxray entered the battlefield directly. As Elesa's trump card Pokémon, and also one of her strongest Pokémon, this World Championship lineup is not seen by many people usually!

Xiang Guangtai here recalled Riolu.

The last battle, who should take the field, has already been decided.

When the strange Dream Ball appeared in Elesa's eyes for the first time, when the brilliance in the ball dissipated, Larvesta's figure appeared on the stage.

"Mera~"

Larvesta hummed comfortably, looking at the Luxray in front of it, it was already eager to try.

"Since it's a performance, let's show greater power."

"This is Larvesta's first battle, must perform well!"

Psychic power surged on Xiang Guangtai's body.

Hero's "Wu Dou Spirit"!

Hero's "Determination"!

The infusion of double power improved Larvesta's power, endurance, energy, and willpower!

At the same time, there was also overwhelming momentum and overwhelming power!

And—the "Harsh Bond" from Cogita, the "Bond of Will" from Cynthia, which resided in the body!

Fearless improvement, willpower improvement, critical hit improvement, speed improvement, endurance improvement, luck improvement!

Finally, the power of the universe, Star Drumming, increases the power of all attributes!

Larvesta's body also emerged with GX great power amplification, Great Heat Wave!

The item carried is—Fire Gem! Fire-type gem. After carrying it, the power of Fire-type moves will only be enhanced once, increasing the power of this Fire-type move by 30%!

"Me—ra!"

Scorching light flames sprayed from Larvesta's rootless tentacles. At this time, Larvesta obtained the gain of endless spirits, becoming a Pokémon as dazzling as a small sun, illuminating the entire venue!

At the same time, Elesa felt that Xiang Guangtai in front of her... seemed to be more than just a trainer!

That fierce fighting spirit made her dizzy, but she was also stimulated to be more excited!

"Luxray

The Luxray was enveloped in electric light, and the Larvesta was enveloped in raging flames. The Luxray's speed was extremely fast, while the Larvesta, this little fellow, curled its body up to store power, and then with a "whoosh," it shot out like a spring!

Flare Blitz!

The massive power of the Flare Blitz transformed into a scorching sun, its intense radiance directly shattering the Luxray's lightning, and then it swept past Elesa with unstoppable momentum, crashing straight into the giant screen behind her!

Elesa was illuminated by the intense light and was unable to see what had happened for a moment. It wasn't until the brightness gradually faded that she turned her head in disbelief.

Her own Luxray was slumped in the damaged electronic screen, while that chubby, fluffy Larvesta crawled out from within, struggling to lift its head with a haughty air, still emitting a blazing radiance!

"Larvesta!"

That was it declaring its first victory!

Looking at that Larvesta emitting powerful flames, all that was reflected in Elesa's eyes at this moment was that dazzling, brilliant radiance.

She remained silent for quite a while, and the venue also quieted down.

But soon, she muttered to herself:

"Faster, stronger, more dazzling sun... That's right, flickering electric light and the sun are incomparable!"

"I'm sorry, Luxray, losing isn't your fault, but mine. As a Gym Leader, I still have many shortcomings. Although you were already flickering quite gorgeously, but... the opponent's light was even more dazzling."

"Thank you! This battle fashion show has also come to a perfect end. Your Pokémon were even more dazzling than mine! I would also like to thank all the audience members who came here!"

Elesa's mood gradually shifted from dazed to joyful. She had figured some things out, and in her eyes, there remained only appreciation and longing for that Larvesta!

And she made a new resolution in her heart.

How dazzling!

If only she could also become more dazzling!

She must make her own Pokémon even more spectacular than they are now!

And the audience, who had originally been disappointed because Elesa lost, had their enthusiasm reignited by her!

That's right, losing happens from time to time, but that was because the challenger's Pokémon were also very dazzling!

What should be appreciated is the challenger and Elesa who contributed this battle! So let's make the atmosphere even more heated!

"I originally wanted to leave you dazzled, but I didn't expect to be captivated by you instead."

"As proof of your victory over me, please accept this Bolt Badge."

"I will continue to train in the future! By the way..." Elesa flashed a playful smile:

"I hope you can continue to design better-looking outfits. Just as you said, I will strive to become someone worthy of those outfits. This is exactly what you called 'adaptability,' right!"

(End of chapter)
