Chapter 278

Xiang Guangtai set off on the road to Black City.

Sven was still shouting about going to Almia to have a good time later, and seeing the Ranger headquarters and the like, and then he boarded Staraptor and disappeared into the sky. His mission here didn't seem to be over yet.

It's just that the power of the yellow crystal made Xiang Guangtai very concerned.

【Artifact (?): Huang Shuijing Pendant--Fragment of the Yellow-Haired Prince's Tears.】

【Description: Made using legendary yellow crystal fragments known as the Prince's tears. When the King of Almia drove the Prince away, the yellow-haired Prince went to the Desert Kingdom and built his own city. He turned the desert into an oasis and encountered the legendary Dream Pokémon and the legendary giant. This crystal can strengthen the mind and is a mythical mineral made from the Prince's soul and will!】

【Effect: Mind Purification Strength +50%, Perseverance +50%, Friendship +50%! Can strengthen psychic/spiritual abilities related to the mind. Those who hold the yellow crystal possess tenacious perseverance and are not easily knocked down!】

【You obtained the yellow crystal, your mental limit has been raised! The power of mental strength has increased.】

【Note (Voice from the yellow crystal): Once possessed the friendship of a giant... You guy, are you the chosen one? Can you meet the King of Giants?】

The crystal is talking?

The three crystals have the Prince's will. Before, the blue crystal also had the Prince's phantom, but the blue crystal had never talked to him. I didn't expect the yellow crystal to start asking strange questions as soon as it came up.

Could it be because the yellow-haired Prince encountered the giant, and he also had a connection with the giant... Or is it that it reacted to the Giant's Key?

There are also giants in the Almia region. Why are these legendary giants everywhere like Ultraman statues?

【Task Completed.】

【Reward: Release Orb x5, Unknown Ability Gain x?, Unova Connection x1.】

【Ability Gain: Priority Action +1! Improve your and your Pokémon's mental and physical abilities. When fighting, intense mental collisions will suppress the opponent's spirit and make them tired, while improving your mental activity, allowing you and your Pokémon to enjoy priority action rights in battle!】

The ability gain given is action rights!

It seems to be embodied as a kind of mental strength, suppressing the opponent's mental strength and making them feel tired, while improving our mental activity, so that we always enjoy the first-hand right. Then how should we talk about moves?

If it continues to strengthen, can I equip every Pokémon with a priority move?

My turn, my turn, still my turn!

And Unova Connection is...

【Unova Connection: Your "Induction" and "Connection" in special locations are increased by 100%.】

Eh... a somewhat subtle reward. Xiang Guangtai thought so.

However, this power soon came in handy.

Black City.

When arriving here, it was already evening.

The blood-red sun was falling toward the horizon, and the city located in the west was like a pitch-black sky. Xiang Guangtai immediately understood why one must pass through Black City to reach White Forest; this city was simply too huge.

Just as seen in the game, endless black high-rise buildings blocked the sky, stretching in all directions. The pitch-black metropolis was filled with strange fog, giving everyone who came here a strong sense of oppression.

A largest high-rise building appeared abruptly in the center of those skyscrapers. Even from the outside, it could be clearly seen. The top of that building went deep into the high sky, as if to connect with the universe!

High, extremely high! That was definitely not a normal high-rise building. So to speak, that very conspicuous huge building was the "Black Tower"!

And on both sides of the metropolis were tall mountains, which were part of the huge Reversal Mountain.

"Actually, you can also climb over the lower mountains on the right... Climbing mountains in the Pokémon world is very normal. It's a pity that if I had a large Flying-type Pokémon, I could fly directly from high altitude."

Although Aegislash can fly, it cannot reach a very high flight altitude. In terms of flying, it still has some limitations. After all, it is not a professional flying Pokémon.

Xiang Guangtai didn't intend to stay in this metropolis for long.

"Passing through the end of the sky, the towering Black Tower..."

Hum—

Xiang Guangtai suddenly heard a strange whisper, and strange hallucinations flashed in his eyes. The deep, dark starry sky of the universe appeared in Xiang Guangtai's eyes, and a violently burning black energy resonated with him.

That energy was at the top of the towering Black Tower!

"What happened just now?!"

Xiang Guangtai quickly asked the Entree Forest in his heart. Although the old tree was destroyed, Xiang Guangtai felt that this seemed to be related to the previous reward "Unova Connection."

Plus Black City and White Forest were originally incredible locations in the game, so...

【Unova Connection (Black Tower) has occurred!】

【Description: The Black Tower, which no one knows when it existed, its top seems to reach the universe. This doesn't seem to be an ordinary building; it has extraordinary technological power!】

【Note 1: You sensed the call of the energy in the Black Tower. The Unova Connection given by the Entree Forest is a special power that can amplify induction in special locations. If you connect with this mysterious energy, incredible things might happen!】

【Note 2: Your Star's Beat might be strengthened! Your Pokémon's combat ability and defense might be strengthened!】

【Note 3: Strange power flickers at the top of the Black Tower, and your Miracle Diamond seems to have reacted again.】

Xiang Guangtai's expression became serious.

The world of others, that is, the Reverse World, the world presenting black and white tones reflects people's inner ideals and desires.

"Is it possible that Alder is related to this place? Will he appear in Black City in a strange identity?"

People who enter the Reverse World will change their identities and get lost in it. If there is no help from the Entree Forest, then it will only be treated as a wonderful dream.

Xiang Guangtai asked carefully, but the Entree Forest couldn't answer either.

In Black City.

A large number of masters were attracted and came here from all over Unova and even overseas. The vortex of endless desires made a certain energy here rise high. As a psychic user, Xiang Guangtai felt it as soon as he entered here!

A metropolis where everything can be measured by money and value. People have undisguised desires and smiles on their faces. Some people breathe the fog of this place to their heart's content. Rich businessmen, gentlemen, and business people negotiate on the street, and the modern atmosphere is exceptionally strong.

Xiang Guangtai felt all kinds of emotions. People who came here for money and fame had strong desires, and here, Xiang Guangtai encountered some unpleasant things.

"Oh, this traveler, you seem to have rare Pokémon..."

"How about transferring it to me, I will offer a price that satisfies you..."

A rich man became interested after seeing the Rotom floating in mid-air and the huge Aegislash, blocked Xiang Guangtai's footsteps and tried to persuade him, but the result was naturally knocked down by Xiang Guangtai's Mind Crush.

"Sorry, I have no intention of transferring Pokémon. It is indeed good to use money to buy things you like, but money can't buy everything."

The rich businessman sat on the side of the road with his eyes losing their luster, his mind blank, and the other rich people around who intended to approach stopped their footsteps.

Rich young masters, young ladies, noble ladies, gentlemen...

"It's a psychic user..."

"Really troublesome, it seems he doesn't want to trade."

"Forget it, don't provoke him."

These rich people shook their heads, evaluating Xiang Guangtai's behavior, but they really didn't come over again.

Not far ahead, black vehicles stopped in front of a huge domed building with orange-yellow lights, and then several Pokémon rare in Unova were transported down from the car, and the people in Black City around just watched this scene coldly.

Pokémon trading... Xiang Guangtai stopped his forward footsteps, looked at the accompanying Aegislash, and walked toward that building.

That should be the largest shopping mall in Black City in the game.

Indeed, in the game, some people have thought about selling Pokémon, and in fact, this kind of thing has always existed in the Pokémon world.

Not to mention the Magikarp salesman as a comedic character, as well as Team Rocket as a villain character, Pokémon hunters and mercenaries also often appear in the anime as enemies.

The vicious behavior of hunters goes without saying. Pokémon hunters represented by Vicious and Hunter J can be said to represent the extremely evil camp in the Pokémon worldview. Compared with them, Team Rocket can be considered good people.

And most of those mercenaries are rich people like the collector Lawrence III who appeared in "The Power of One," or nobles and bosses of some small countries.

"Hmm? Why are you coming over, want to buy Pokémon?"

"Oh, are you a trainer? This is a new shipment just captured. It is a very rare Pokémon in Unova! But it definitely won't be cheap, because they are rare!"

Those hunters looked at Xiang Guangtai's approach with some vigilance, and the two Pokémon beside Xiang Guangtai attracted their attention.

Very rare and precious Pokémon, don't know how much money they can be worth!

The first thought that popped into the hunters' minds was just like this, but the next moment, a violent mental shock directly covered their consciousness.

When they woke up again, a violent sense of guilt directly surged into their hearts!

"We... what are we doing?"

"Actually selling Pokémon... This is a huge mistake!"

The other hunters also woke up in a daze. They looked at each other blankly, and then suddenly hugged each other and cried loudly!

The power of Mind Crush seems to have increased. Is it the effect of the yellow crystal?

Xiang Guangtai thought thoughtfully, and these hunters whose hearts had been purified shouted about atonement and the like, released all the iron cages, and then started to gather together as if they were taking money.

"We sold some Pokémon to the black market in Black City before. Now that I think about it, it's really damn! The Pokémon we caught and controlled must have been very painful. We couldn't understand their hearts and only thought about making money!"

"That's right, money is very important, but you can't make dirty money because of it! That's it, we'll take this dirty money to atone for our sins and buy back all the Pokémon we sold before!"

The hunters changed their personalities, took the money, and walked directly into the store, and then brought out quite a few Pokémon. Even the owner of the store and the rich people inside were stunned.

This... this isn't what you sold to us, why are you buying it back?

Forget it, as long as there is money, there is no need to care about the rest.

A certain hunter: "We will never do these things again. That's right, which means we want to be people who protect the environment and protect Pokémon."

Middleman: "Ah? Are you kidding me, aren't you making money anymore! Those rich people like rare Pokémon very much!"

A certain hunter: "That's right, we want to make money, but not this kind of money! That's it, we're quitting."

Middleman: "You guys! You are really crazy!"

The sudden change of the hunters angered these black market middlemen, as well as this batch of new Pokémon they promised to sell. The hunters no longer agreed to deliver, which made these people extremely angry.

"What about the demands and deposits of those tycoons? This is not something you can just return! This is related to my reputation. It was an underground transaction to begin with, and failure and refusal have consequences."

"Want to take these Pokémon back? Humph, then use strength to talk!"

The middleman waved his hand, and immediately a large group of trainers surrounded them. Many people in the mall watched the dispute here with great interest, and this batch of hunters who had turned over a new leaf were not the opponents of these people.

"Houndoom, use Crunch!"

A Pokémon like a hellhound beside a trainer directly pounced on the hunter and attacked them. At this time, Xiang Guangtai walked in. The huge Aegislash appeared in front of Houndoom, followed by a fierce swing of the giant blade!

Houndoom let out a whimper and was knocked flying at high speed, hitting the wall behind and losing its combat ability!

Sacred Sword is very effective against Dark-type Pokémon, and Rotom laughed "hehehe", using electricity to control those iron cages to float up.

Hmm, is this what Elesa meant by making a big scene?

Xiang Guangtai scanned the situation in the mall.

In Black City, Pokémon battles, or even attacks on trainers, can happen anytime, anywhere?

It seems to be the same in the game—"Although it's very sudden, please have a battle with me"!

"If I win, I can take those Pokémon away, right?"

"Although it's very sudden—"

Xiang Guangtai clapped his hands: "Then, let's battle!"

Those trainers looked, and one after another threw out Poké Balls. One Pokémon after another appeared in the mall. It was clear that a large-scale battle was about to happen here.

A trainer wearing a black coat stood out, trying to stop Xiang Guangtai. Their eyes were serious, and one of them said:

"You give people a very dangerous feeling."

"Or, decide through battle. As long as you can defeat everyone here, then your wish will be satisfied, how about it?"

Veteran trainers, Elite trainers, Backpackers, Waiters, Maids, Rich young masters, Miniskirts, Researchers, and some psychic users!

"We have no grudges with you, and we don't intend to accept those rewards! But the psychic power on you makes us tremble. Our instincts are telling us to battle you here!"

"As long as we can defeat you, we will definitely be able to reach a higher area in the Black Tower! Until we head toward the universe!"

These psychic users all had induction, and the Poké Balls beside them were floating, radiating a strong energy field.

"The style of Black City is really different from other cities. The sense of fragmentation is too serious; it doesn't look like it's in the same world at all..."

A place where you can't survive without fighting?

"There are many powerful trainers in this mall! If you don't have strength, don't think about getting any cheap deals here!"

"These are all masters who have passed Area 4 of the Black Tower!"

A veteran trainer said in a low voice. They looked at the middleman, but just shook their heads with disdain, and at the same time said to Xiang Guangtai:

"Here, the rule of the strong is the rule. If you can defeat us, then it's not impossible to let you take those Pokémon away."

"Show your strength! In this Black City where strength is respected!"

"Go! Ferrothorn!"

Outside the battlefield.

A man in a black trench coat wearing a hat watched this scene with great interest.

"Hehehe, excellent young talent..."
