Chapter 43: Can be Called Avant-Garde Art!

"I originally planned to buy more Cursed Charms this time. Really, don't grab goods with me."

"Are the people who buy Cursed Charms all psychics?"

Unova region, Undella Town.

A woman wearing jeans, a work shirt on her upper body, wearing feather accessories, hanging various strange ancient pendants, with purple hair and dark skin, was checking Xiang Guangtai's shop interface at this time.

The charm page became unavailable for purchase again. Ryme grabbed her hair in annoyance and could only focus on the new products on the shelves.

Are the new items sculptures?

Gengar sculpture, huh...

"The special effect is that it is easier to find items hidden in dark corners."

"Eh! Isn't this very useful for me! When 'archaeology' in the ruins, some things are hidden too deep, and I am troubled by this."

"Gengar!" Beside Ryme, the Gengar who once sent a cursed email to Xiang Guangtai was also there. It stared at the product interface on the computer, pointed at the "Gengar sculpture," and giggled.

"Do you also want this sculpture, Gengar?" Ryme laughed softly.

"Gengar!" Gengar raised its hand, and its fat body swayed to indicate that it really wanted it!

"Okay, it just so happens that this thing is useful to us, but if there is any special effect of the sculpture that can walk through walls, that would be even better."

Ryme imagined it in her mind, then shook her head and threw this unrealistic idea away!

When grave robbing... no, 'archaeology', those maze-like walls are indeed quite annoying, but this is also the fun of exploring ruins. If you lose this fun, the joy of getting ancient artifacts will also decrease.

"Oh my, I heard that Unova has the legend of the Abyssal Ruins. After all, this is a treasure house with a long history, but I haven't seen anything. Sure enough, it's a boring rumor?"

"The prepared Cleanse Tag can't be used either. It seems I have to set off to return to Paldea. Unova is not very peaceful recently. A group called Team Plasma is promoting boring nation-building doctrines here..."

"Speaking of which, if it's a tool craftsman, maybe he will have achievements in ruin exploration. This kind of imitation ancient sculpture almost deceived me. At first glance, I thought it was a real ancient artifact, but the introduction page said it was imitation..."

"Can imitated history also be considered history?"

Ryme became interested in Xiang Guangtai: "If I buy it in advance and ship it to the Paldea region, I can receive these sculptures at the same time when I go back. Maybe this craftsman can provide me with more special items in the future, and even if I find those sealing stakes I saw from ancient documents, or tell this craftsman, he should be quite interested, right?"

"But I still need to collect more historical data. 4 Pokémon were passed through many hands as treasures, and human desires and curses gradually attached to them..."

"This ancient Paldea legend, how were the Pokémon sealed? What items were used when sealing them? If this mystery can be solved... Yes, this craftsman will be of help to me one day."

"If I can find the sealing location of the Treasures of Ruin, I'll just ask him to help pry open those seals."

Ryme pondered, changed the address, and bought the Gengar sculpture.

Kanto region, Sevii Islands.

The dual Champion of Kanto and Johto, the former Dragon-type Elite Four, the League Inspector Lance, had an unofficial match with the former Ice-type Elite Four Lorelei on the Sevii Islands, and the result of this match was Lance's victory.

In the eyes of others, perhaps this is very normal. After all, Lance is the Champion, and Lorelei is just a former Elite Four.

However, Lorelei, who was the person involved, didn't think so.

Dragon-type has a weak resistance to Ice-type, so although Lance is the strongest in the Indigo Plateau, he often loses in battles with her. The Elite Four will naturally spar with each other to ensure that their strength will not retreat, but this time it was different from before!

"How about it, Focus Sash, after giving it to Gyarados, even if your Lapras used Thunder, it couldn't knock down my Gyarados! This is the bond between me and Dragon Pokémon!"

Lance's mental state was a bit excited at this time. After buying strange items from that unknown craftsman, Lance tested it simply and found that it really had an effect, so he immediately took Dragonite to the Sevii Islands.

The former Ice Elite Four resigned from the Indigo Plateau Elite Four position to protect her hometown, and this position was replaced by a new Elite Four.

But for Lance, after this "targeter" Lorelei left, Red also left the Indigo Plateau. Although he became the new Champion, he always felt that this Champion was taken for nothing.

Weakness left, doesn't mean weakness disappeared.

Dragon-type is weak to Ice, and Gyarados can't block Electric-type attacks either. It just so happens that these two moves are Lorelei's strengths!

"Thank you, Lorelei. Now my Dragon Legion is no longer afraid of Ice-type and Electric-type moves! Dragon-type is the most powerful!"

"Most powerful? It's clearly that strange item that is playing a role!" Lorelei couldn't help but complain, holding her forehead, and Lance laughed loudly: "No! The person who sold me the item said that as long as I have a strong bond with Pokémon, even if I receive more attacks, my Pokémon will not fall down!"

"This is the bond between me and Pokémon! And people without a bond with Pokémon can only persist once with this item when facing unfavorable attributes and one-hit kill situations!"

Lance's mood was quite pleasant now. Lorelei was a bit speechless, but soon asked him: "You can buy strange items, can't I buy them? Really, I don't know what you are proud of! And just now it only persisted three times. The first time was relying on the item, and the next two times were just pure luck. Wasn't it knocked down the fourth time?"

"Also, what is the name of the shop?"

"Oh, Lorelei, are you going back to the League? But the Elite Four are already full now," Lance actually considered it seriously: "If you want to return to the League, you need to defeat a current Elite Four."

"I don't have the idea of going back. I am just an ordinary Pokémon trainer now. Isn't it normal to buy items?" Lorelei waved her hand: "Sevii Islands still need me here. What if Team Rocket appears again? I heard they haven't disbanded and are still active."

"Is that so..." Lance nodded, and then recommended Xiang Guangtai's item shop to Lorelei.

"How about it, it's a craftsman who sells magical items. It is said that the tools made by him will bring different improvements to Pokémon and trainers."

Lorelei became puzzled: "It is said... who said it?"

Lance: "It's a new Elite Four. He possesses psychic power and also bought a rare item in this shop, a Light Clay pot, which can enhance the power of Psychic-type Pokémon and has the effect of extending the time of Light Screen and Reflect."

"By the way, I also want to see if this shop has new products... Eh? Dragonite and Dratini sculptures?!"

Lance's eyes lit up immediately, and after seeing the introduction below, he placed an order without hesitation!

"Haha, a sculpture that can be immune to abnormal status. Lorelei, your specialty Frozen status will also be sealed! And on the contrary, my Dragon Legion never disdains to use small actions like abnormal status. True battle must rely on its own strength!"

"Idiot." Lorelei suddenly had a speechless expression: "I can also ask the craftsman to customize some Pokémon sculptures for me. They will also have special abilities, right?"

"I see in the product introduction above that each sculpture has a different effect and fits their own attributes."

"If I also order Lapras, Dewgong, Cloyster sculptures, or buy some unique items, won't you lose again?"

She said so, and Lance couldn't refute for a while, and could only mutter: "That side will definitely sell more useful items. At that time, it will definitely be me who wins!"

Lorelei didn't care about Lance, but sent an email to Xiang Guangtai.

Just as she said, the change in Lance after getting the item was seen clearly by her. Such a powerful item, of course, she also wanted to buy!

Paldea region, Cortondo.

"This work... can be called avant-garde art!"

A man with wisteria-colored curly hair, wearing a wine-red shirt, and a thin face saw Xiang Guangtai's shop when searching for art works.

And those ancient sculptures inside instantly attracted him!

This man is the Gym Leader of Cortondo, the sculptor artist Brassius!

However, just when this man was excited, another tall man with long yellow hair, wearing a green jacket, gray trousers, and a red bowtie beside him also nodded. He is the Dragon Tamer Hassel:

"Indeed, Brassius, such high-level imitation ancient technology is already a kind of avant-garde art in itself!"

"Yes! Retro-style art can make people travel through time and space. That retro nostalgic atmosphere deeply attracts everyone. Compared with the chaotic life of modern times, the past makes people feel simple and comfortable, giving people the illusion of classic and eternity. This is the strong charm of retro-style art!"

"This is really a treasure shop!"

"Oh, there is a Dratini. This Dratini... avant-garde art! I want to have an in-depth exchange with this craftsman... no, with this art master!" Brassius's eyes seemed to have a light brewing!

"There will be an art exhibition in the second half of this year. I hope to invite this artist to come!"

"My inspiration is emerging! Retro style... just like the sculptures of ancient times in the ruins, mysterious and profound!"

Hassel: "The shape of Dragonite is also very good! And these sculptures also say they have unique effects... It's really incredible. Could it be a marketing label posted by the merchant to increase sales? But no matter what, it's worth buying such art at this price!"

"Anyway, place an order? Get familiar with the other party first and then invite him!"
