Chapter 79: The Moving Garden, Capturing Turtwig!

The Lilligant's crown-like flower emits a fragrance that encourages companions; that was precisely the reason Turtwig mustered its courage.

Xiang Guangtai thought that perhaps that pollen could be made into "Courage Flower Fragrance." If used for Pokémon or even humans with inferior personalities, it could also treat their psychological problems.

But now, what he had to do was to welcome Turtwig's challenge!

"Doublade, I'll leave it to you."

Xiang Guangtai looked at Doublade, who agreed twice, then looked at Turtwig and pointed to the open space in the distance with its ribbon.

There are many precious plants here; go to the open space to fight!

At the same time, Doublade also began to ponder in its heart.

Should I hold back a bit? Otherwise, if I cancel Night Slash right away, Bug-type moves are super effective against Grass types, and I estimate the winner will be decided in an instant...

How exactly does the trainer want to fight?

"Iron Defense!"

Sure enough!

Doublade heard Xiang Guangtai's voice and immediately knew that Xiang Guangtai wanted to test Turtwig's strength, so he used Iron Defense to strengthen physical defense right away. At the same time, this was also a form of holding back!

But Doublade very much approved of this kind of battle where he held back!

Powerful Pokémon are not born powerful; they also had times when they were weak, just like himself before, and just like the Cherubi before!

Therefore, weak Pokémon will eventually become strong one day. If the Turtwig in front of him is willing to become a partner, Doublade doesn't mind losing the battle actively and becoming a "stepping stone" for the other party!

Being able to help all Pokémon and people who have ideals and contribute his strength for this—this is the spirit of chivalry!

As for himself always sneaking up on others without martial virtue and canceling Night Slash with every strike... well, that's another story, one thing at a time!

Turtwig was highly nervous at this time. Seeing Doublade use Iron Defense, it didn't have much thought, didn't consider resistance at all, and violently shook the tender leaves on its head, using "Razor Leaf"!

Flying out leaves to cut and attack the opponent. Easy to hit a vital spot!

The blade leaves, like a broken disc, hit Doublade's body like a gale. However, Doublade had super high physical defense, plus the power of Eviolite and Iron Defense, so Razor Leaf hit its body like an itch!

It didn't trigger the effect of hitting a vital spot!

"Yo-woo!"

Little turtle, use more force! Doublade spoke, which was both a provocation and an encouragement!

Seeing that Razor Leaf was useless, Turtwig immediately opened its mouth. Following the gathering of Grass-type energy, a series of seed light bullets sprayed out from its mouth!

Bullet Seed!

Da-da-da-da-da!

Turtwig tried its best to attack. Xiang Guangtai didn't give an order, and Doublade floated in place, enduring Turtwig's attack. However, Grass-type attacks weren't very effective against Steel-type Pokémon in the first place. Until Turtwig's attack ended and it was panting, there were still no injuries on Doublade's body!

"Yo-woo~" Doublade floated not far from Turtwig. Turtwig immediately opened the distance, while Doublade made a teaching sound:

I am a Steel-type Pokémon; using Grass-type attacks has no effect!

Little turtle, use Ground-type moves to attack me!

"Na-na!"

"That's right, what Doublade said is correct. Grass-type attacks aren't very effective against Steel-type Pokémon. You should also pay attention to the opponent's attributes when fighting!" Xiang Guangtai opened his mouth, then commanded Doublade: "Shadow Sneak!"

Doublade's sword shadow elongated, but it controlled its strength. The moonlight was nice tonight. Two black shadows crossed and moved along the ground. Turtwig looked around in a panic and was finally hit directly by the shadow on the right!

"Na—" Turtwig almost fell over. It forcibly stomped its four little feet on the ground and stabilized its body, enduring it!

At the same time, its four feet stomped on the ground violently, triggering a shockwave!

Ground-type move—Bulldoze!

Doublade's two eyes lit up!

Yo, I'm familiar with this move!

Isn't this the move that Gible used before? I didn't expect you to know it too!

Bulldoze's shockwave hit Doublade, super effective! But because of its super high physical defense, even if it was super effective, it didn't cause much impact on Doublade, just lowering its speed by one level.

"Iron Defense." Xiang Guangtai continued to command. Doublade's two swords flashed with silver light again, Steel-type energy rose, and physical defense increased significantly again!

However, Turtwig seemed to have grasped the trick. At this moment, a flash of inspiration flashed in its mind, and it suddenly shook the soil shell on its back. Those red powerful herbs swayed, and suddenly absorbed light!

"Lilligant!" The Lilligant's eyes lit up!

This move is...!

"Na!"

Light appeared on Turtwig! Absorbing moonlight at night, and under the action of the powerful herbs, it directly launched "Solar Beam"!

A huge white light blasted out from Turtwig's head!

This is an important move that Turtwig learned through photosynthesis every day, and it is also its most powerful move! Those Pokémon that came to harass it were all driven away by it using this move!

"Instant Solar Beam! Good hit!" Xiang Guangtai was also pleasantly surprised by Turtwig's fighting style. He had originally thought that Turtwig carried so many powerful herbs on its back, perhaps it was hiding some big move, but he didn't expect it to really know a Grass-type ultimate move like Solar Beam!

"Isn't this quite amazing!"

Xiang Guangtai's praise was sincere, but Doublade's Special Defense was very low, and it couldn't be improved much with the help of Eviolite. If it took this Solar Beam head-on...

"Agility!"

"Yo-woo!" Doublade obeyed! The two swords directly threw the shield body away and then went their separate ways!

Speed increased significantly!

Solar Beam also missed!

"Na?!" Turtwig was stunned. It didn't expect Doublade to be able to "disassemble"? This was a move it had never seen before!

However, Doublade went to pick up the shield again, looking a bit embarrassed. This thought flashed through Turtwig's mind for an instant, and was immediately expelled. Now it wanted to put its heart and soul into the battle!

When the opponent picks up the shield, it's a good time for me to attack!

Turtwig absorbed light again, the powerful herbs on its back jumped, and the instant Solar Beam blasted out like a light cannon again!

Continuous Bullet Seed!

Facing this kind of illegal move, Xiang Guangtai's interest was aroused. Even the watching Pokémon made low exclamations. The H-character on Regirock's face flickered rapidly, and it was making a sharp comment on Turtwig's operation!

Fought very well, reasonably utilized the power of plants, and combined with its own ability to hit an extraordinary tactic!

"Regi!"

The legendary giant recognized this little turtle, and the Lilligant also felt that continuous instant Solar Beam was indeed very powerful. After all, she couldn't do that!

And Unown E's eyes widened!

Not brother!

I really thought you were weak and couldn't fight; you make me look so dull!

"Agility!"

Xiang Guangtai commanded again. Doublade, who hadn't picked up the shield yet, was really panicked this time. It had never encountered such an outrageous big move combo. One of the swords hurriedly smashed the shield it hadn't picked up yet, and then went their separate ways again!

Although embarrassed, the speed increased significantly!

"Na-na!" Turtwig absorbed light again!

The powerful herbs jumped for the third time!

So-lar-Beam!

"Na-na..."

The third Solar Beam blasted out, hitting Doublade and making it run around in embarrassment, but Turtwig's own stamina was also consumed greatly. It thought of a move after seeing Doublade's speed become very fast!

It brought a move with it when it was born. It was like its instinct. Every time it encountered a scary Pokémon, it would use this move to increase its speed, thereby escaping from the attacks of those Pokémon!

"Shadow Sneak!"

When Turtwig was thinking, Doublade's attack suddenly flew in. The black sword shadow slashed out directly from under Turtwig's abdomen, slashing from the abdomen to the shell!

Three powerful herbs floated down from the shell on its back. Those were herbs that had lost their power, and Turtwig's soil shell was also slashed open. But at this moment, Turtwig mustered its courage, and red light radiated from its body!

Its body seemed to shatter, and those peeling soil shells seemed to have improved some kind of power for it!

"That is...!?" Xiang Guangtai was truly surprised this time!

This Turtwig, can it use "Shell Smash"?!

Shell Smash is an inherited move. For Turtwig, Grotle, and Torterra, this is one of the most important moves!

Shell Smash—break the outer shell, lower one's own defense and special defense, but significantly increase attack, special attack, and speed! However, in the animation world, what Shell Smash breaks is only a layer of energy protective shell. Cilan's Crustle once demonstrated this move.

"Truly an excellent Turtwig!"

Xiang Guangtai gave his own evaluation and was quite satisfied with Turtwig's performance!

Extremely satisfied!

"Na-na-na-na-na—!"

Turtwig's speed increased significantly. When running, its body began to grow, and while using Shell Smash, it used "Growth"! Let the body grow, increasing attack and special attack!

Xiang Guangtai didn't expect that the Turtwig he was about to capture was also a speed-attack type? However, for Turtwig, such an intense battle was the first time since it was born!

It was fighting with all its might for the first time!

The powerful herbs on its back swayed. Although three lost-power herbs fell off, there were more herbs on Turtwig's back!

Turtwig absorbed light!

It became a high-speed moving cannon!

"Night Slash!" Xiang Guangtai decided not to hold back anymore. Turtwig's performance was worthy of Doublade using its full strength! And Doublade, who had been running around by Solar Beam, finally got the keyword at this time!

"Yo-woo!"

Little turtle's performance is quite good. This is recognition from a knight!

I remember now, I have always been a knight... my sword sheath will not lose!

Night Slash, cancel!

The two swords directly abandoned the shield, making a sharp buzzing sound as they broke through the air. Bug-type energy condensed on the blade, avoiding the attack of Solar Beam, and slashed in front of Turtwig at lightning speed!

Doublade's Night Slash speed was extremely fast, almost interrupting Turtwig's process of condensing light in an instant, and then slashed Turtwig at high speed, causing a huge amount of damage to the latter!

"Na—"

Turtwig was knocked away by Night Slash, sliding out on the ground, leaving traces on the soil and grass. In a panic, it hurriedly used Razor Leaf to meet the attack, and at the same time began to try to fight in a detour. However, Doublade's Night Slash was like a tracking flying sword, slashing and shattering all those Razor Leaves, and caught up with Turtwig at a faster speed!

The day of canceling the backswing, the day the knight returns!

Doublade's two swords spiraled up and hit Turtwig in the form of "Drill Run"!

However, Turtwig used the edge of its shell to block this blow. Although it rolled out, the effect of ability improvement appeared on its body again!

Second Shell Smash!

"Eh, it actually hasn't fallen yet?"

Xiang Guangtai was surprised by Turtwig's endurance. As a first-stage Pokémon, although Shell Smash is a very powerful move, it has the side effect of both sides falling. After facing the Night Slash attack that restrained it, it could still endure it and Shell Smash for the second time!

Is Turtwig's stamina unusual because it has lived with special plants for many years and caused changes?

Xiang Guangtai couldn't help thinking, if this Turtwig evolves into Grotle, wouldn't the "shrubs" on its back all become "powerful herbs"?

Strong... powerful shrubs?

No! Xiang Guangtai recalled the brilliance condensed on Turtwig's body before... that might not be Solar Beam, but "Photosynthesis"!

"Na-na...!"

Turtwig panted violently. Xiang Guangtai came back to his senses, looking at Turtwig who was standing forcibly without falling, and couldn't help but sigh in his heart.

Turtwig, who is good at enduring, has unusual stamina, but is a bit inferior, yet fights as if it doesn't want its life.

Truly makes me happy!

"It seems that even the most abundant stamina is about to hit the bottom. The winner will be decided next."

"So, do you still want to continue fighting? You are really strong!"

Having received Xiang Guangtai's recognition, the dark clouds in Turtwig's heart seemed to disperse. It was the first time it felt the feeling of being recognized. It felt that it should be okay, and could perform even better!

"Na—!" Turtwig absorbed light!

But this time it wasn't Solar Beam, but Photosynthesis!

Turtwig's HP recovered, and Photosynthesis also allowed its physical strength to recover slightly! At the same time, a rich Grass-type energy rose from its body. That was the ability "Overgrow"! When HP is reduced, the power of Grass-type moves will increase, increasing by 1.5 times!

It stared at Doublade's movements, not wanting to let go of any clues, while Doublade also abandoned the shield, and the two swords flew around in the sky, looking for opportunities to attack!

Turtwig lifted its forelimbs and stomped down!

Bulldoze! The shockwave spread with Turtwig as the center, hitting Doublade, who was flying around, and lowering its speed by one level. Turtwig continuously used Stomp. At this time, Doublade's speed kept dropping, while Turtwig seized the opportunity and threw a large seed!

Leech Seed! After planting Leech Seed, it will absorb the opponent's HP bit by bit each turn, thereby using it to recover its own HP.

One of Doublade's swords was hit by Leech Seed. Vines like creepers appeared on the seed, firmly entangling the hilt and guard. However, the other sword immediately flew over and used Night Slash! It slashed the vines of Leech Seed in one go!

But in this gap, Turtwig had already rushed over at full speed!

This was its last attack!

Turtwig slammed into Doublade's hilt!

Tackle! Slam into the opponent with amazing momentum to attack, and it will also receive a little damage!

At the same time, Turtwig absorbed light!

A violent Solar Beam erupted, and the huge light submerged Doublade and Turtwig at the same time!

Solar Beam!

"Yo-woo!"

Doublade really received damage this time. The two swords spun and flew out, and it took a while to stabilize its figure, while Turtwig's stamina was exhausted, and it lay directly on the ground.

Turtwig, lost the ability to fight!

"Well fought!"

Xiang Guangtai walked over. A Poké Ball appeared in his hand. Turtwig didn't even have the strength to answer, but it was very happy to hear Xiang Guangtai's praise!

"Weak? No, not at all!"

Xiang Guangtai picked up Turtwig, his expression quite happy: "Turtwig, you are very strong! Shell Smash is a very powerful move! Instant Solar Beam is also quite amazing! The final Tackle Solar Beam was also truly stunning!"

"Do you want to become a partner with me?! No, please become a partner with me!" Xiang Guangtai issued an invitation sincerely!

"Na," Turtwig responded, then smiled.

Was my performance okay?

In that case, I won't be looked down upon anymore!

I am very strong! It turns out that the feeling of fighting with all one's might is like this!

Xiang Guangtai took out the Poké Ball and aimed it at Turtwig. Then the switch of the Poké Ball touched Turtwig's forehead. In a burst of red light, Turtwig was sucked into the Poké Ball. It didn't shake, and was captured directly!

"Captured Turtwig!"

A Turtwig carrying so many herbs—this is truly illegal! Guang Tai couldn't help but think that if it really evolves into a Torterra in the future, according to his own plan, he could plant many herbs on its back. It could trigger item effects over a dozen times in one turn: instant moves with Power Herb, infinite Shell Smash with White Herb, breaking status locks with Mental Herb, and if it gets beaten to the brink of fainting, it could eat a Revitalizing Root and Revival Herb to stand right back up!

The workshop's companions have increased!

"Then, please take care of me from now on, Turtwig!"
