Chapter 15

April 13, 2023, Thursday, cloudy turning to light rain.

Jinxiu Trading Co., Ltd.

"Good morning, everyone!" Guo Peng walked into the office area humming a song, his face carrying unconcealable excitement.

"Good morning, Brother Peng. I heard you took two days off to buy a car. Did you drive it over today?"

"What car did you buy? I didn't see you post it on Moments."

As soon as these words were spoken, they instantly hit Guo Peng's sweet spot.

He hurriedly took his phone out of his pocket and shared the photo he had just taken this morning to the group, "Hehe, everyone take a look and see if it's worth it: a 2013 Honda Civic, landed for 36,000. My cousin runs a repair shop, and he helped me find the car."

"The condition of the car looks really good, and it's the high-spec version; this price is quite worth it."

"Pearl white, a classic color scheme."

"Not bad, a 'Ferrari-Civic'!"

The employees in the technical department were all young people; they often discussed topics about cars, and among them were many who knew their stuff, so they began to discuss it one after another.

Guo Peng smiled proudly, beaming with joy: "Automatic transmission, one-owner car from a lady, brand new! 1.8L displacement, three big screens, leather seats, cruise control, multi-function steering wheel..."

While talking, he also sent detailed photos of the car to the group.

It could be seen that Guo Peng cherished this used car of his very much.

It was wiped clean inside and out; the fragrance, seat covers, cushions, and ornaments were all arranged very completely, and a red cloth strip was even tied to the rearview mirror.

"Congratulations to Brother Peng on getting a new car." Tang Song also followed up with a sincere compliment, feeling a bit envious in his eyes.

He was also very interested in cars and had gotten his driver's license during college.

However, after graduation, he prioritized saving money for a house, so he didn't even dare to consider used cars and could only satisfy his craving by looking at them online.

After Guo Peng finished chatting with his colleagues about his new car, he turned around and saw Tang Song, and his eyes widened instantly.

He leaned toward Tang Song and said in surprise, "It's only been a few days since we last met; why do you feel so different? You've lost weight, and you got a new hairstyle! Damn, why do I feel like you're a bit handsome?"

Today was Thursday; he had taken three days of annual leave, plus the weekend, so he hadn't seen Tang Song for 5 or 6 days, but he could clearly feel his changes.

The puffiness on his face had disappeared, his double chin had become very slight, and his stomach was much flatter.

His figure had shrunk by a size overall, and combined with his cleaner skin and new hairstyle, he indeed looked more handsome.

"How about I send you my schedule? It's actually not that hard." Tang Song winked at Guo Peng.

"No, no, no, I'm not as ruthless as you! Three fat-loss meals a day, climbing stairs, running, jumping rope, fat-burning exercises." Guo Peng waved his hands repeatedly.

Tang Song couldn't help but curl his lips and didn't say anything more.

The one who can best perceive one's own changes is always oneself.

Having passed the body's adaptation period, his weight-loss rhythm was becoming smoother and smoother.

His daily routine, diet, exercise, and reading were methodical and strictly executed.

He was caught in a unique state of positive feedback, desperately moving toward his goal.

As of now, his weight had dropped to 82.5kg, a weight loss of 7.5 kilograms, or 15 jin.

What is the concept of 15 jin? If it were pork, you'd have to eat it for a long time.

He was only 1.5kg away from his goal!

He opened the system interface.

【Charm: 28】

With the improvement of his physical fitness and the decrease in his weight, his charm value had increased by another 1 point.

He was only 2 points away from unlocking the first-stage reward.

He entered the 【Mission Center】 to check the mission progress.

【Challenge Mission: Restraint and Persistence】

【Mission Content: Obesity will greatly increase the burden on the body and increase the incidence of various diseases. Challenge to lose 9 kilograms in 20 days and return to a normal weight range.】

【Mission Reward: Lung Strengthening Potion *1】

【Mission Progress: 83% (8 days remaining)】

————————

According to the current progress, he could probably complete the mission the day after tomorrow and obtain the long-awaited 【Lung Strengthening Potion】.

By then, his charm value would definitely increase again, which meant that 30 points of charm were within reach!

Tang Song took a deep breath, trying to calm his excited mood.

After lunch.

Tang Song went downstairs as usual and began to walk around the Lin Jin Building to digest his food.

His mind was still digesting the skincare tutorial Zhao Zhao Yaqian had sent yesterday.

After successfully losing weight, besides fitness and body shaping, this was also his key transformation project.

The netizens had only given him suggestions; the specific implementation was very complicated and required someone's help.

Thinking of this, Tang Song took out his phone and sent a message to Zhao Zhao Yaqian: "Qian Qian, are you free tonight? Let me treat you to a meal and ask for your advice on the issue of acid peeling."

He put away his phone, and his shoulder was suddenly patted.

His colleague Du Du Shaokai familiarly put his arm around his neck and said enthusiastically, "Old Song, I knew you were downstairs. I have something to ask you; want to chat?"

"Go ahead." Tang Song frowned slightly, his face showing little expression.

When he first joined the company, he had a pretty good impression of this colleague.

Both were graduates of the 2020 class of Yancheng University of Technology; although they weren't in the same major, they were familiar faces.

Du Du Shaokai looked gentle and handsome on the outside, spoke very enthusiastically, and would occasionally treat him to meals.

Also because of these reasons, Tang Song had helped him a lot during work.

When he came to ask him for advice on the architecture and data structure of the SCM system, Tang Song didn't hold anything back.

He didn't expect to be stabbed in the back by him instead, having his project maintenance work taken away.

Although Director Chen said it was for the effective division of labor in the team, Tang Song didn't believe that at all.

People in the workplace all know that if you want to gain a foothold in a company and not worry about being laid off, you must participate in core and profitable businesses.

And the company's new SCM system was undoubtedly this type of project.

Du Du Shaokai shrugged and said with a smile: "The HR department wants to add a new module to the SCM. I'm too busy lately; I'll send you the requirement document later, just do it when you have time."

Tang Song suddenly stopped and looked at him amusingly, "Do you think that's appropriate?"

Du Du Shaokai smiled nonchalantly, "With your ability, working overtime on the weekend is fine; I think it's quite appropriate."

Hearing this, Tang Song instantly understood his little scheme.

Du Du Shaokai had been working at Jinxiu Trading since graduation, only responsible for the maintenance of a few corporate websites, and his level was actually very poor.

If he were to do the secondary development of the SCM system, the project duration for one module would be at least a month.

But if it were Tang Song, it would take at most a week.

In Du Du Shaokai's heart, finding him to be a coolie was the most appropriate thing.

"How about I treat you to a foot massage at Yunxianju?" Du Du Shaokai raised his eyebrows, "I guess you've never been to a place like that; I guarantee it'll make you feel great, and you can pick any technician you want."

"Hehe." Tang Song twisted his body, walked forward a few steps, and shook off his arm, "No time."

The expression on Du Du Shaokai's face froze slightly, and his tone turned a bit colder, "Old Song, you can put other work on hand aside for now; this project has the highest priority. By the way, Director Chen also agreed to this."
