Chapter 552: Blee's Answer

~11 min read 2,151 words

It had been some time since the war ended. Li Hao knew his physical body had been thoroughly strengthened, and he had long since reached the level of Nangong Yuhang's Dream Analysis. However, he had never dared to take the step into Dream Three. Once he took that step, his physical body would undergo a complete transformation, and his power would become so immense it would be uncontrollable, shattering his normal life. He did not want to become a monster, nor did he want to become a superman watched by the whole world every day. There was another reason: he judged that if he fully opened his Inner Universe, it would produce a terrifying "sense of hunger." Due to Energy Conservation, his body might enter an inhuman hunger mode, and he did not know what kind of things he might do. Even... would Theseus be the same as him? The Nimeier Civilization's research into the Spirit must be far beyond that of Humans; being able to invent harmless Spirit absorption was already quite terrifying. And when a Spirit reached a certain level of strength, what it pursued must be a physical body capable of withstanding it. Reverse-engineering the Inner Universe was not impossible. Theseus was the strongest King of the Nimeier, and his Spirit had reached an unfathomable height. Could it be that the hunger generated by opening the Inner Universe was what caused him to eat all his own people?

At the current power tier, losing control is extremely terrifying.

Li Hao was actually a bit fearful in hindsight. In the end, Theseus's physical body had collapsed. Li Hao, the beneficiary, had evolved his Golden Cells and mastered the Inner Universe. In that instant, a void-like hunger that could swallow the heavens and devour the earth had actually been generated. He had instinctively absorbed all the power, not even knowing what had happened, and by the time it was finished, everything was over.

Therefore, Theseus was definitely not Blee, because he was not worthy.

But Nangong Yuhang had indeed received information from Blee, which made Li Hao's brain twitch a little. It couldn't be that even Theseus was a Blee-controlled puppet, could it?

Thinking of this, he felt a chill run down his spine, because it was too coincidental. He needed massive amounts of energy to maintain his sanity and successfully open his Golden Cells, and this demand was simply beyond imagination—yet Theseus just happened to have that need.

He had been arranged by Blee again. From beginning to end, he had never escaped Blee's control.

Even so, he couldn't say he felt much resentment. Without Blee, the entire Expeditionary Army would have been wiped out this time, so Li Hao calmed down. If they want to mess with me, let them. He was too lazy to struggle. If Blee could pay a salary or something after finishing the job next time, he might be able to submit a little faster.

Zuo Xiaotang noticed Li Hao's strangeness. "What's wrong?"

Li Hao opened his Sky-Link, and sure enough, it was Blee.

Blee53: The Seed Civilization war has ended, you may ask one question.

Li Hao took a deep breath, trying to make himself as relaxed as possible. He had many, many questions, but he knew the other party might not truly tell him even if he asked, because through long-term contact, he knew Blee wasn't that honest. He had to let Blee see some human linguistic skills.

The message on the Sky-Link from the first time had not disappeared. Li Hao deliberated on how to ask. He wanted to know what Blee was at the bottom of it all, and he also wanted to know who was controlling Blee to keep sending him information. How could he turn two questions into one?

"Zuoge, how do you combine two questions into one?" Li Hao asked subconsciously.

Zuo Xiaotang was stunned. "Ah, combine them?"

Li Hao thought, that's right. Does it matter if it's smooth or not? Anyway, he was asking one question, and he didn't dare to hesitate for fear the other party would go back on their word. His heart was excited, his hands trembling.

"Is Blee a Celestial?"

Li Hao waited quietly. On one hand, he wanted to know what the hell Blee was, and on the other, he wanted to know if all of this was the work of the Celestials. But as soon as he sent it, he regretted it; he had been a bit impulsive. What if the other party just replied "Yes" or "No"? That would be a waste. But then he thought, if the other party wanted to beat around the bush, any way of asking would be useless anyway. He still wanted to see what kind of information Blee wanted to provide.

Blee54: Blee is the fixed presentation of Spirit information within the Blue Star civilization after passing through dimensional transmission. The Celestial is a type of biological organism.

After a long silence, Li Hao pursed his lips. It was about what he had guessed, still the same arrogant tone as always. It seemed like everything had been answered, yet it also seemed like nothing had been said.

When Theseus was guiding other humans, he must have used this method, including with Nangong Yuhang. What was presented was that Blee's Spirit information would automatically transform upon reaching a certain type of civilized organism. The laws of the universe are fixed and orderly.

And the transmission of Blee's existence also used the same power. Regardless of what it is, it must be a biological organism possessing a powerful Spirit capable of dimensional transmission, with power and height far above Theseus.

"The Celestial is a type of biological organism"—this phrasing was completely "Blee's style," possessing a faint air of pretentiousness.

However, this created even more questions. What exactly does an existence of this level want to do? What is it, and what does it represent? Why did it find him, and what does it want to do in the future? Could it switch to someone else to mess with? Stop picking on him alone...

There were so many questions that Li Hao didn't even know where to start.

However, the cold and aloof Blee had gone silent. Li Hao was used to it by now. Actually, whether the other party was a Celestial or something else didn't really matter anymore. Given the scale of the Star River Alliance, joining it was the best option for Human civilization. Even if there was something going on, he had to wait until Human power grew to a certain stage. If possible, he hoped Blee was on the side of Humans, but if it was trying to incite Humans to stir up trouble with the Celestials, then it was better not to. The Solar System's growth had not been easy; don't just donate it away so casually.

In the Star River Era year X5899, the ruler of the Galaxy, the Star River Alliance, welcomed new members: the third-tier civilization, the Solar System, and the Solar System's dependent star, Kepler 22b.

Right now, the biggest topic for all of humanity was the Star River Alliance. They had thought that as Humans gradually encountered higher civilizations during their interstellar voyages, perhaps they would be the only high-level civilization, but as soon as they arrived, they were pressed to the ground and rubbed. All information regarding the Star River Alliance would hit the trending topics at the fastest speed.

According to public data, the actual rulers of the Star River Alliance were the Star Alliance Committee, composed of five major forces: the Galasta Galactic Core Commercial Alliance, the Ozil Empire, the Seventh Art Empire, as well as the Star-Casting Dragon Race and the Helavis Sea-Human Empire. The first three were the biggest backers of the Celestial Civilization; they enjoyed the highest authority, and all citizens belonging to them also enjoyed the highest Star Alliance citizen treatment.

Helavis Empire: A civilization that rose from the ocean, a high-level civilization born in the same era as the Celestials, which played a crucial role in the formation of the Star River Alliance. They were known as the Sea People.

Star-Casting Dragon Race: A type of ancient biological civilization, said to have appeared even earlier than the Celestials, possessing a long history and powerful combat strength, but taking the maintenance of cosmic balance and stability as their own duty.

The nations within the Star River Alliance were divided into three tiers; the five mentioned above were the first tier.

There were dozens in the second tier, the more famous ones being the Charks Technology Empire, the Shadow Ghost Empire, the Strong Colonization Empire, and several other Celestial branch nations, such as the Centaurs and the Giants.

Strong Colonization Empire: From a human perspective, it seemed like an insectoid civilization, possessing a complex and massive social structure, once occupying hundreds of planets. The Giant Insect seeds of Kepler were somewhat related to the Strong Colonization Empire. They were the most powerful opponents in Celestial history; the two sides fought for a long time to compete for dominance of the Galaxy, and in the end, due to the participation of the Star-Casting Dragon Race, the Strong Colonization Empire was defeated. Even so, it still remained at the head of the second tier.

Charks Technology Empire: A terrifying empire formed by super-intelligent mechanical lifeforms, conquered during the war with the Celestials, and currently the main producer for the Star River Alliance.

Shadow Ghost Empire: An energy-based civilization from the same era as the Celestials, whose lifeforms could switch their bodies between solid and energy states, possessing a unique civilization. They were allies of the Strong Colonization Empire and were defeated in the Star River Hegemony.

Civilizations other than these belonged to the third-tier nations, the more famous and powerful ones being the Lalutu Orc Empire, a warlike race with stronger reproductive capabilities than Humans and tenacious vitality.

Although Humans were a new civilization, their overall technological level and combat strength were not weak. The Solar System's overall combat power in the entire Star River Alliance could be ranked in the middle. Because during the chaotic war phase, many civilizations were directly dragged into the war, and the Solar System had been left aside for some strange reason.

The process of each civilization joining the Star River Alliance was different. Although the Solar System Alliance had experienced a tragic battle, it was definitely considered good, because Humans themselves were a branch of the Celestials and were protected by them. Moreover, in the Celestials' Seed Project, Earth was particularly prominent, and the growth cycle granted to it was also the longest. Among various attempts, two very excellent civilizations had been born: the Nimeier and the Humans, both of which could become powerful supplements to the Celestials.

In the year or so since joining the Star River Alliance, the Star Alliance...

... would grant the Solar System a very generous protection period, which meant helping Humans integrate with the Star Alliance, including improving the Solar System's power. Of course, the premise was that the Solar System had to listen to all of the Star Alliance's arrangements... If you don't listen, you have to listen; if you listen, you have to listen. As the old saying goes, if you cannot resist, you might as well enjoy it.

The Human special envoy delegation had already been formed and was about to follow the Star Alliance envoys to the Star Alliance headquarters to discuss subsequent details. What was currently known was that the Star Alliance would build a brand-new, super-large space station for Humans, connect it to Kepler, open up interstellar routes, and set up quantum information stations. The quantum entanglement technology currently used by Humans was relatively backward, so the signal became particularly unstable once they headed to Kepler. If they wanted to integrate into the Star Alliance, they needed higher technology; only cutting-edge quantum entanglement technology could satisfy such a distance of spatial span.

Time is a form of motion, but Humans had a misconception early on that time would flow backward once motion exceeded the speed of light. In fact, it cannot be simply described as "flowing backward." The laws of the universe have set boundaries. In this universe, there is no such thing as matter having a speed faster than light; for any object with mass, it is impossible to reach the speed of light in terms of regular speed. When "speed" is faster than light, it is actually another form of motion. Quantum entanglement is one such form; as long as there are coordinates, one can cross endless light-years in a short time.

As for time flowing backward, that is a higher level, because it involves other parallel universes; it is not essentially returning to the past of this universe.

(The setting for the scientific theoretical foundation is all just serious nonsense...)
