Chapter 555: Möbius Strip

~10 min read 1,901 words

Makemu watched the two humanoid creatures entirely shrouded in unknown armor, feeling a sense of familiarity; their build and presence were simply too close to humans. Could they be remnants of the Nimeier Civilization?

No, this level of technology far exceeded that of the Nimeier, and it was not following the same evolutionary path.

As the Supreme Leader of the Human Expeditionary Army, Makemu summoned the composure of a Five-Star General and walked over. "I am the supreme commander of the Human Expeditionary Army. Can you understand me? Everyone, do not attack!"

Makemu stopped the Warriors who were preparing to step forward and fight; he somewhat regretted sending all the top Mobile Suits to Kepler.

One of the figures shrouded in armor took a step forward and spoke in standard human language, "Don't be nervous. The war is over, Seed People."

The other alien inside the armor was clearly female. Her head armor retracted, revealing a face identical to—and perhaps even more beautiful than—a human's, carrying an air of absolute confidence and arrogance. She paid no mind to the weapons surrounding them. With a stretch of her hand, a small square box on her wrist emitted a laser, and the entire Command Room was suddenly placed within a massive Star Map. "Laniakeiya Chaoxingxituan—Shinüzuo Xingxituan—Benxingxiqun—Yinhexi—Liehuojing—Solar System—Earth. As a seed planet, you have successfully evolved to the point of using Planetary Level weapons and have become the victors of your own civilization's war, reaching the level of a Tier 1 civilization. Congratulations, you have earned the qualification to join the Star River Alliance."

The war for the human expedition to Kepler had ended. It was unclear whether the outcome of this war was a joy or a sorrow for humanity. The entire war involved nearly 20,000 attack-type warships, over 50,000 various logistics warships, countless drones and automated fighters, and a total force of over one million, all of whom were human Elites. The combat casualty rate reached 49 percent. Ultimately, they won this war against Kepler. Now, people also knew that the Giant Insect civilization was a puppet controlled by remnants of the Nimeier Civilization. The essence of this war was a civilizational war between the human civilization, which also originated on Earth, and the Nimeier Civilization. It must be said that humanity's proactive strike was entirely correct; otherwise, once Nangong Yuhang had combined human genes with giant insect genes and developed them with the Soul Power of the Nimeier Civilization, even if humanity did not lose, it would have been plunged into an endless interstellar war.

The greatest hero of the war turned out to be the Martian Romero. Yes, the loser of the S Tournament, the Warrior who was once flamed to the point of social death. Although he was abandoned by his own teammates, his own academy, and even the Martians, he did not abandon humanity. While Nangong was seducing a crowd of humans into depravity, he went undercover on Kepler, transformed himself into the strongest Insect God General, and silently transmitted information the entire time.

When the special forces entered Kepler to fight, he launched a fatal blow against the mastermind behind this war, the architect of Noah's Ark, Nangong Yuhang, who had reincarnated as a Nimeier, and ultimately destroyed the Nimeier's main city, playing a vital role in the victory of this war. Of course, the special forces members who infiltrated at the risk of their lives, such as Li Hao, Chao Qinglong, and Maxis, were also incredibly heroic, as were the countless space Warriors. It was the collective effort of everyone that defended humanity's victory.

We humans are the final victors of this Kepler war; there is no doubt about that.

If the war had simply ended this way, there would certainly have been many lingering issues, namely how to settle Romero and the large number of Insectoids, as well as the Giant Insects of Kepler. The Expeditionary Army had achieved victory, but the disposal of Kepler was to be decided by the Alliance Council. Romero's situation was somewhat awkward because he was no longer human, and after Nangong Yuhang's death, he became the leader of the Insectoids and the Giant Insects. Perhaps he still carried human thoughts, perhaps temporarily, but the very existence of this person would pose a potential threat to the existing order of humanity.

What if he became the next Nangong Yuhang?

Originally, this was almost a dead end, but due to the appearance of the Star River Alliance, these problems became less important. The question of human origin finally had an answer. Regardless of whether this answer was true, the level of civilization displayed by the other party was something humanity could not resist. Human civilization, having developed to this point, was facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities beyond imagination.

Long before humans, many brilliant advanced civilizations were born in the Galaxy, and they also experienced chaotic periods of mutual conquest, eventually forming the stable Star River Alliance. The most powerful faction at present is the Celestial race, which controls the most fertile planets in the Galaxy. The "Galaxy" here is not the Galaxy defined by humans, but the one defined by the Celestial race. The original term is "Laguxialangtalu Tianhexi." Its general scope has some similarities to the observations of human civilization, but there is still a certain deviation in human technology. It is just that after the language system is interpreted, it is roughly the Galaxy as humans understand it. Among advanced civilizations, language issues are minor matters; after humanity joins, it will be resolved by the Star River Alliance.

During a period when the Celestial Civilization reached its peak, the Celestials assembled a massive army to conquer and eliminate thousands of civilizations that refused to submit, eventually unifying the Yinhexi. The Celestial Civilization's "Galactic Empire" reached its zenith, but not long after, irreconcilable conflicts erupted within the Galactic Empire. A war lasting a thousand years split it into dozens of factions that attacked each other, dragging the entire Yinhexi into it. Many planets were destroyed, and various Forbidden Weapons were used everywhere in the Yinhexi. Order completely collapsed. After paying a heavy price, the Celestials finally realized that continuing like this would lead to total destruction, because during the war, other conquered civilizations had been developing silently and were already threatening the Celestial rule.

The three strongest factions among the Celestials, under the mediation of two other advanced civilizations, the Star-Casting Dragon Race and the Hailawisi Hailaren, held secret peace talks, signed a ceasefire agreement, quelled the chaos, formed the Star River Alliance, and established the interstellar "Submarine Covenant." The civilizational war that had engulfed the entire Yinhexi finally stopped.

The war caused huge trauma to the Galaxy and the Celestials, and their dominance declined significantly. To consolidate Celestial rule, the three major Celestial factions established two basic rules: 1. Prohibit the use and proliferation of Planetary Level weapons. 2. Strengthen the Seed Project that continued from the Galactic Empire era, searching for habitable seed planets throughout the Yinhexi to conduct civilizational sowing, or even artificially creating suitable seed planets, and seeding them with pure Celestial genes or combining them with native indigenous creatures.

In short, to continue the excellent Celestial genes to the greatest extent and maintain rule.

The Seed Planet Project also went through a series of twists and turns. Because the Celestials split into several powerful nations, phenomena of artificial intervention in the evolution of seed planets appeared frequently due to their respective interests. There were also civilizations that wanted to destroy Celestial rule that took action, breeding all kinds of problems. Eventually, a consensus was reached within the Star River Alliance: do not directly intervene in the evolution of seed planets. The civilizational resources of seed planets belong to the common property of the Star River Alliance, including resources and biological Spirits. At the same time, to ensure quality, the civilization of a seed planet, whether in terms of Spirit evolution direction or technological evolution direction, must reach Planetary Level destructive power, and simultaneously undergo a civilizational war or an Alliance assessment. The victors will become members of the Star River Alliance.

In the Solar System, Earth is a natural small planet, and the Sun is also natural, but some were created by the Celestial race, forming a small star system very suitable for life to grow and continuously evolve. For example, the Moon is used to adjust tides and even includes inducing the imagination of life. Muxing is used to block some natural disasters in space; before Muxing, several batches of test subjects were wiped out, such as the dinosaur civilization. As for Saturn... it might be for aesthetics, the designer's aesthetics. Of course, this is not a product of the current Celestial Civilization, but something left over from the heyday of the Galactic Empire. Because of the war, this seed civilization was also forgotten for a period of time.

The universe is constantly expanding, and the planets of the entire Solar System are also spiraling wildly through the Starry Sky along with the Sun, this star. If it were the Niunie Wenming.

It would actually be very dangerous.

Such a planet is fat meat in the eyes of various interstellar pirates, but a seed planet is different. There is a "membrane" wrapping the Solar System that humans cannot see. This membrane, on one hand, shields information, and on the other hand, warns all advanced civilizations in the Star River Alliance, whether overt or covert, that this is a Celestial seed planet. This is the reason why, during the process of human development, there were actually many visits by advanced civilizations without any war occurring.

It is not that humans are chosen ones, but that humans have owners.

A civilizational war can be internal to a seed planet. If no rival civilization appears internally, then one is arranged. The intention of the war is, on one hand, to test the level, and on the other hand, to demonstrate the power of the Star River Alliance.

Because to make a newly risen civilization sensible, war is the most persuasive and direct method. Beat them into submission, then "reason" with them.

The Star River Alliance is not a charity.

Actually, within the Star River Alliance, they originally favored the Nimeier Civilization more. They did not expect continuous accidents, and even "Yibiantil" appeared. Kepler was a civilizational test battlefield. Theseus thought he was a god, but in fact, he was just a frog in a well. Because of the Celestial gene issue, such cases were not unique, but in the end, they either vanished into smoke or were recycled and processed.

The fact that humans are just one species in the Star River cannot be hidden, and it cannot be hidden, because after the Star River Alliance envoys stopped the war, they piloted a Ring-shaped Spaceship and arrived in the Solar System first, directly taking over all communications and announcing the existence of the Star River Alliance to all of humanity.

Powerful technological strength is to tell humans not to make futile resistance and unrealistic fantasies. Even the strongest human Planetary Level weapon can be easily dealt with; this is not something a new civilization can contend with.

The only thing humans can do is join the Star Alliance.

(Dear family, I have been pondering some new ideas and stories. I hope everyone can support me, thank you!)
