Chapter 562: Extermination

~10 min read 1,897 words

Judging by the reactions of the crowd, it was clear this sort of thing had happened more than once or twice. Once a dispute broke out, it was good enough to just stop it; punishing them was impossible. They couldn't afford to offend them, so everyone just avoided them as much as possible.

Watching the timid appearance of the humans, the three Laturu Beastmen laughed heartily. There were also some retired soldiers in the cabin heading to Kepler who were clearly filled with rage, but before retiring, they had all received orders through various channels not to clash with other civilizations. Humanity had just entered the Star River Alliance and needed to endure and develop.

They understood the big picture, but some were already so angry that their veins were bulging.

Suddenly, a Beastman sniffed with a nose like a pig's and set his sights on a girl in a corner. They possessed a special ability to discern female charm through scent; those in the prime of their youth secreted a very alluring fragrance, which was essentially a way to directly identify attractive female humans.

A Moon girl with a particularly good figure trembled at the sound of footsteps, her expression desolate and filled with sorrow. It was highly likely she was going to Kepler to pay her respects. Tourism to Kepler was not fully open; besides business, it was mostly military families. In the battle for Kepler, human Warriors had suffered heavy casualties.

One Beastman directly picked up the man beside her and pushed him aside. The man didn't dare to speak and hurriedly retreated, trembling. The Laturu Beastmen were all over two meters tall with massive bodies, and their bone density and endurance were beyond imagination; otherwise, they wouldn't be able to engage in heavy labor.

"Little girl, what's your name..." The sturdiest one in the middle sat down with a thud, pulling open his ill-fitting human clothes to reveal thick chest hair, speaking in broken human language.

The Mechanical Race's language transplant system was relatively stiff, whereas the Helavis language fish roe made it as easy and natural as one's own language; it had no flaws other than being expensive.

These three Beastmen had clearly been staying among humans for a while. Behind them followed two people who looked like diplomatic staff, their fawning expressions—a mix of hesitation and awkwardness—suggesting that if their compatriots weren't there, these two might even have danced to liven things up.

The Laturu Beastmen had already started getting handsy. The girl was agitated and glared with rage, trying to break free, but was blocked by the sturdy bodies of the other two Beastmen. The two staff members tried to stop them but were directly scared off by fierce glares.

Li Hao stood up. Zhang Baofa tried to stop him but couldn't hold him back at all. Many in the cabin were filled with righteous indignation, and several men who looked like Warriors also stood up. Clearly, this wasn't the first time such a situation had occurred, but Li Hao's movements were faster; in the blink of an eye, he was in front of the Beastmen.

The two Beastmen were delighted to see a puny human approach; they had just been lacking toys. These humans, who looked like Celestials but were incredibly weak, were exactly to their taste. Humiliating both men and women brought them immense pleasure.

The two Beastmen lunged at Li Hao. A gasp went through the cabin as their massive bodies blocked Li Hao from view, but the next second, two muffled thuds—the sound of bones shattering—rang out. The two Beastmen collapsed limply, their chests caved in, brown, filthy fluid bubbling from their mouths.

The sturdiest Beastman was startled. He let out an upward roar, split his large mouth to reveal fangs, his muscles began their expansion, his clothes and pants burst apart, and he smashed a massive fist toward Li Hao.

Before everyone's eyes, the fist slammed directly into Li Hao's head. Clang~~~

The Beastman felt as if he had hit Titanium Armor. Li Hao frowned and grabbed the Beastman's arm with a backhand. The Beastman fell to his knees in agony. The two diplomatic staff members finally reacted and rushed forward to stop him: "Let go quickly! Don't hurt them! You've caused a huge disaster! They are envoys of the Lalutu, heading to Mars to discuss cooperation..."

Slap! Slap!

Two crisp slaps sent the pair spinning in place. Their faces swelled up instantly, and they lost several teeth. Li Hao glanced at them indifferently, "Are you two even fit to be human? If I didn't know better, I'd think you were servants to these animals."

"How insolent! What do you know? This involves the entire Human race! Do you know what kind of disaster you've brought upon yourself and everyone else?" one of the diplomatic staff members shouted, pointing angrily at Li Hao while clutching his face.

But he was immediately restrained by several Warriors, "Try reaching out again and I'll break your hand!"

That sturdy Beastman seemed to realize the danger too.

"Let go! I am a noble of the Lalutu Empire! Your actions are a declaration of war against the Lalutu Empire! Our fleet will trample the Solar System, and you will all become slaves!"

Li Hao chuckled. How much time had passed, and even these stray cats and dogs were acting so arrogant? He glanced indifferently at the Beastman and crushed his head with a single palm strike. Li Hao hadn't expected that only a year after the Kepler war ended, humanity would be so servile toward aliens. But looking at the Warriors gathering around him, he couldn't condemn them all; there was still spirit left.

Without realizing it, over a dozen people who looked like Warriors had gathered automatically. Their eyes burned with intensity as they looked at Li Hao. One of them couldn't help but ask, "Are you Team Leader Li Hao?"

This familiar yet distant name instantly stirred many people's memories—the former S-Tournament Champion, the hero of the Expeditionary Army.

"Which unit are you from?"

"Reporting, I am from the Mars First Fleet Air Combat Team."

"I am from the Moon Hanxing Fleet Air Force Marine Corps."

Many recognized Li Hao. Although his appearance had changed somewhat, that presence remained.

Li Hao nodded, "Clean this place up. In the future, if you encounter this kind of thing again, kill them first and worry about the rest later. Restrain these two pieces of trash and deal with them when we reach Kepler."

"Yes, sir!"

The cabin erupted in a commotion. The security team arrived, their expressions changing drastically when they saw the Beastman corpses on the floor. They drew their Laser Guns and surrounded the group. Other Warriors stood in front of Li Hao. Everyone in the cabin stood up, the noise deafening. Zhang Baofa's roar was the loudest—damn it, this was his idol, and he hadn't even recognized him sitting right in front of him.

The security team naturally knew what was going on, but they were helpless. Three Lalutu Beastmen had died here all at once; this was a major incident. Currently, the Lalutu were the most proactive of the civilizations in contact with humanity, and they had sent many to Kepler. This had clearly played a positive role in the interaction between humanity and other civilizations—at least that was what a portion of the human leadership believed.

The security team leader signaled for the Warriors to lower their weapons, walked to the front, and gave a salute, "I am the security team leader of the D-681 Spaceship. It is my duty. The current situation is quite serious; please cooperate with the investigation. May I ask who you are?"

He could tell this calm man before him was no ordinary person; he looked very familiar, yet he couldn't quite place him. He knew what kind of behavior the Beastmen had, so he didn't need to ask to know what happened, but this combat power was astonishing—there were no traces of firearms being used.

Li Hao stepped forward, "I am Li Hao, Major General of the Solar System Expeditionary Fleet. These three animals intended to commit an outrage against this lady. I stopped them, and they tried to kill me, so I could only act in self-defense. You can pull the video footage."

Upon hearing Li Hao's name, Luo Ziyang was stunned for a long while before he realized it was indeed General Li Hao.

He stood at attention and saluted, "Reporting, sir! I am Luo Ziyang, a former member of the Expeditionary Army USE Fifth Fleet Air Force Marine Corps. I had the honor of participating in the battle against the Insect God General," Luo Ziyang's voice was filled with emotion and gravity. Yes, the war was over, but some memories would never fade. "Please give your orders, sir."

Who was Li Hao?

S-Tournament Champion, Major General of the Kepler Expeditionary Force, the great hero who secured humanity's victory in the war. A round of enthusiastic applause erupted in the cabin.

"Sir, I'm sorry... I..." Luo Ziyang was ashamed. The merits earned by human Warriors on the battlefield had all been squandered, and he himself had become so weak.

Li Hao patted Luo Ziyang on the shoulder, "Remember, we are human beings first. Don't let our fallen comrades bleed and cry in vain."

Only then did everyone notice the photo the girl was clutching tightly—a heroic-looking Warrior. "Yes, sir, I will remember!"

Li Hao nodded, "It's fine now. Sorry for the trouble, everyone."

The cabin was filled with deafening cheers. The incident quickly spread throughout the entire spaceship. This year, humanity had experienced many things—all sorts of new developments, but mostly pressure. The order of humanity itself was being dismantled. Most importantly, facing the aliens constantly entering the Solar System and the human world, humanity didn't know how to face or handle them.

When the numbers reached a certain level, especially when they fell into the realm of daily life, problems and conflicts began to increase. The upper echelons had not provided a clear direction, and those below were either resisting or compromising.

The spaceship continued on its journey. Li Hao also learned a lot from Luo Ziyang and the others about the current situation of living alongside other creatures. The Solar System was actually still doing okay because the Alliance still had more control over aliens entering the Solar System, fearing it would breed various problems. This situation was even more severe on Kepler.

This news was not suppressed, nor could it be. It quickly spread, and the Lalutu Consulate on Kepler also received word. The situation was escalating, though the person involved remained very calm. It was said that the Lalutu's reaction was intense; to them, this incident was like a domino effect. Previously, humans would swallow their pride when encountering such things, but if resistance wasn't suppressed, other humans would follow suit. The Beastmen looked crude, but they weren't stupid; otherwise, they wouldn't have targeted a new civilization, specifically preying on their desire to make "friends."

The rest of the journey proceeded in an atmosphere of anxiety and excitement. The Warriors weren't worried about themselves, but about Li Hao. Li Hao, however, acted as if nothing had happened, admiring the space scenery along the way. A massive, triangular, three-dimensional Star Gate appeared before Li Hao...
