Chapter 874: The 'Shishou' at the Bottom of the Pit and the Rolling Dwarves!
Jier continued to peer.
He saw that after the young Human Villagers who helped the Dwarves walked away, the uninjured Dwarves who had been arguing with them stood in place and cursed for a while longer, before finally returning to the Dwarf group.
These guys clearly hadn't fully vented their anger; after returning, they started arguing again with some of the injured Dwarves, until an old Dwarf with a bandaged head spoke up, causing these people to temporarily quiet down.
Thus, Jier shifted his attention to this person.
He looked somewhat familiar, and after thinking for a good while, Jier finally remembered that this was the old Dwarf whose head he had broken in the Huitou Forest, and they had even fought at close quarters before that.
Beside this old Dwarf, he saw another very young Dwarf, also a familiar face; it was the very first Dwarf Jier had ever seen.
The Dwarf Priest holding the Metal Box was also nearby, though his complexion was not very good, and he was currently arguing about something with an armored Dwarf holding a Spear.
After observing for a while, Jier discovered that the Dwarf Priest was not winning the argument against the Dwarf Warrior holding the Spear, as the two seemed to differ in their presence.
Behind the Dwarf Warrior clutching the Spear were four companions also holding Spears, while beside the Dwarf Priest, there was only one Dwarf Warrior leaning on a Double-edged Battle Axe standing in line to support him.
Jier did not know how the combat effectiveness of the Spear-wielding Dwarf Warriors compared, but he had fought against Dwarf Warriors using Double-handed Heavy Weapons, and they were a very troublesome group of opponents.
In that case, were the Spear-wielding Dwarf Warriors also very capable in a fight?
Jier looked at the five Dwarf Warriors leaning on Spears over three meters long; the spearheads at the tips reflected the surrounding firelight, shining brightly, clearly polished very smooth and flat, and with each of them wearing thick Dwarf Metal Armor, he estimated they were not a weak force.
It was very clear that the Dwarf Priest's team had suffered a defeat in the afternoon; of the five warriors in the team, three had sustained not-insignificant injuries, and only two were still intact. Therefore, their presence at this moment was completely inferior to the other teams that had not engaged in battle with Jier.
"But what about that 'Shishou'? He wasn't injured, so why isn't he here? And such a powerful warrior should have a place in the conversation and discussion, right?"
Jier was puzzled, guessing if 'Shishou' had suffered some internal injury or something and was undergoing treatment, so he focused his gaze on those injured Dwarves. As a result, he easily found the three Dwarves injured in the afternoon by the sleeveless Leather Clothing they were wearing, but he did not see the figure of 'Shishou'.
This made Jier feel somewhat uneasy.
Because to tell the truth, in the fighting all day today, he had almost capsized and been defeated by the Dwarf Warrior 'Shishou'; he could handle other situations, including the combat team using Double-handed Heavy Weapons and equipped with a Dwarf Priest.
Thinking about it, Jier could also defeat the Spear-wielding Dwarf Warriors who were on the same level as the combat team above.
But where was 'Shishou' now?
Jier's expression changed, and his eyes darted around, his gaze repeatedly scanning all the Dwarves in the center of the Cunzi, but he found nothing. Afterward, he saw that there were quite a few Dwarf Warriors with Heavy Throwing Spears on their backs and axes and Shields at their waists, busily working on something in the nearby ruins of the houses with low spirits.
Jier looked, but because the lighting where these Dwarves were was poor, he couldn't see clearly, so he carefully jumped down from the second floor of the Dwarf Residence where he was, tiptoed through the half-collapsed Dwarf Residence, and approached to find a safe position to observe.
Only after getting closer could he see that these Dwarves were tidying up the houses that had collapsed into ruins. They didn't have any intention of repairing or rebuilding the houses right now; they were just moving away the collapsed rubble and rummaging through the ruins for things that could be of use now.
It was a bit strange; clearly, if they bypassed these ruins, there were still Dwarf Residences behind that hadn't completely collapsed, and if they needed something, they could just go there to get it; there was no need at all to tidy up the ruins at this time and expend great effort searching for supplies in the ruins.
In any case, Jier didn't understand what these Dwarves were thinking; he felt that, after all, they were a different race, and although they were similar to Humans in many ways, there were still many thoughts that could not be understood.
Jier observed carefully, and among these busy Dwarves, there was not a single Dwarf wearing sleeveless Leather Clothing; clearly, 'Shishou' was not among these people either.
Then the question arose: as an important enemy, where had this Dwarf Warrior gone now?
Jier felt that he had to solve this problem first, because if the Divine Power on 'Shishou' recovered and he joined forces with other Dwarves to fight him, he would likely not be able to handle it and would have to pull out all his trump cards to save the situation.
But a trump card is called a trump card precisely because it can only be used at a critical moment, and one must maintain mystery and keep information from leaking. As for these Dwarves here, Jier felt it was better not to use those things if he could avoid it.
"Where could he be? In the Dwarves' Mine? That shouldn't be. The other Dwarves are all gathered here, what did he go off to do alone?"
Speaking to himself up to this point, Jier suddenly understood.
He had just seen that Dwarf who used the double-handed Double-edged Battle Axe beside the Dwarf Priest, and he had already found his lost battle axe; considering that the combat power of that Dwarf team came from the strength temporarily enhanced by the Priest, having weapons was very critical for those Dwarf Warriors.
With a Double-handed Heavy Weapon in hand, after the strength boost from the Prayer Blessing, Jier didn't dare to block a strike head-on; after all, although he was strong, if he were hit head-on by that kind of weapon, he would still be beaten into a puddle of meat.
Even if he were wearing the Full-body Metal Armor he had designed and made, it would be the same.
The armor on his body was fine for defending against ordinary swords, but facing that kind of Heavy Weapon strike, it was almost the same as wearing a layer of paper clothing.
After all, the attacks of those Dwarf Warriors were to the extent that they could even smash through the floorboards of a Dwarf Residence; Jier did not think he was sturdier than a house built of stone by Dwarves.
So, considering this, what was most important for 'Shishou' at this time? Recovering his own Divine Power?
There was a high probability, but Jier didn't think this was easy to achieve. After all, he was the one who had fought 'Shishou' at full strength head-on; he knew too well how powerful that strength was. The world is balanced; how could it be so easy to obtain power without paying some price?
Then, was that the only thing 'Shishou' was likely to be doing now?
Jier looked left and right, lightened his footsteps, lowered his body, first retreated to a place where the Dwarves could not observe him, and then, aiming in the right direction, snuck off to the side.
Beside the big pit in the center of the Cunzi.
Jier tried his best to choose the other side, far away from the gathering place of the Dwarves in the center of the Cunzi. He snuck over, careful not to let his feet step on loose Stone blocks, so as not to expose himself by making noise from the friction of moving stones.
This was not easy; it wasn't something one could find a path to walk on just by looking with one's eyes. It might have been fine during the day, but it was already night, and the light remaining in the sky was just a cloud drifting over the Valley, like a mirror in the high sky above the mountains, projecting the light from the distant sunset down.
So Jier used both hands and feet, and anyway, the distance wasn't very far. Step by step, he first used both hands to gently pick up and set aside the Suishi on his path, then placed them to one side, clearing a narrower space where he could land his feet.
At the same time, Jier tightened the large piece of Linen Cloth he had borrowed and draped over his body; this thing was grayish, which happened to be the same color as the surrounding ruins of the Dwarf Residences, and from a distance, his form could not be seen at all.
Tiptoeing, Jier finally arrived at the edge of the completely collapsed Dwarf Residence; in front was the huge deep pit blasted out by 'Shishou' using a weapon filled with Divine Power.
Jier squinted his eyes and looked down, only to see a Dwarf Warrior wearing sleeveless Leather Clothing holding a shovel and working with his head down at the bottom of the deep pit.
Tilting his head, Jier discovered that inside the deep pit, and in the circle around it, apart from 'Shishou', there were no other Dwarves.
This anomaly made Jier raise his guard.
'Could it be a trap?'
It wasn't that such a possibility didn't exist, but Jier carefully observed the surrounding ruins and the loose floating soil left after the explosion in the deep pit, yet he didn't find any place where people could be hidden.
'Are the Dwarves so confident in letting him dig and retrieve his weapon alone?'
Jier found it incredible.
But he did not know how much blame and pressure the Dwarf Warrior 'Shishou' had suffered after reuniting with the main group of Dwarves while he was persuading the Farmer family and resting.
When most of the Dwarves saw that their houses in the Cunzi and a house full of property had been destroyed by the Dwarf 'Shishou' and those guys in his team who used Heavy Weapons, each one of them wished they could eat these guys on the spot!
After all, although dealing with the outsider Human Knight was important, you bastards couldn't take all, or most, of my property as a matter-of-course loss!
At that time, the Dwarf Wild Priest holding the Metal Box high could only escape the crowd's anger by relying on the name of the God of Strength. Of course, this one also took the opportunity while escaping to give 'Shishou' and that Dwarf Warrior who used the Double-edged Battle Axe a Prayer Blessing of strength enhancement.
Relying on this, the two guys surrounded by the crowd were able to squeeze out of the crowd, waiting for the old Dwarf 'Tie Niu' to arrive in time to persuade and calm the crowd.
But after that, don't expect the Dwarves whose property had been damaged to give these few Dwarves any good looks.
After the Dwarf who used the Double-edged Battle Axe retrieved his lost weapon, 'Shishou' could only come alone to the bottom of the deep pit he had blasted, holding a shovel to slowly dig for the double-handed greatsword that he didn't know how deep it was buried.
"Sigh, I was really too impulsive at the time."
With one shovel-full, Shishou muttered complaints about his own previous arrogance.
The iron shovel flipped up a scoop of loose soil, and Shishou shoveled again.
"It's a good thing old Tiequan calmed everyone down, but how many years will it take for me to get everyone to forgive me?"
With a miserable face, the Dwarf Warrior shoveled another scoop of dirt to the side; beneath the loose soil, there was still no sign of his weapon.
With a rumble from his stomach, the Dwarf Warrior looked toward the aroma of food drifting from above the deep pit, his expression growing even more wretched; clearly, he did not think his companions would give him food if he went up there to beg for it now.
Not being cursed at would be considered a blessing.
"That Human enemy, I don't know where he ran off to, sigh, what should we do?"
The trouble was greater; it wasn't just the hunger in their bellies—they had fought all day and suffered so many losses, yet failed to eliminate that Human Knight; this was the most critical issue.
Thinking of this, Shishou felt an even worse headache; his companions had clearly split into several groups, and many of the Dwarves who had been defeated and injured by that intruder had become timid, with many even suggesting that everyone should hide back in the mine, letting the Humans deal with the surface world as they pleased, since the mine was deep and complex enough that no matter how powerful the Humans were, they couldn't break in.
There were others who had changed their minds, and although they hadn't discussed it openly, these people had clearly handed all choices regarding the future over to old Tiequan, supporting—or rather, not explicitly opposing—a plan that old Tiequan had hinted was achievable.
Many had grown tired of the same life in the Zhenbao Mine for a hundred years; even if the outsider Humans were so powerful, and they didn't know what the Human world outside the mine looked like, they didn't want to stay here anymore.
Finally, there were the remaining ones who neither firmly supported old Tiequan nor had directly fought or been injured by the outsider Human; they were very angry, not at their Dwarf companions, but at that Human Knight.
Because for most of the daytime, they had been led around the wild fields outside the village by that Human like dogs. They were panting, their tongues hanging out, and after their sweat evaporated, the wretched, sour smell of sweat was something even they couldn't stand.
Perhaps the only thing they truly couldn't stand was their own pride.
Over so many years, these fellows had long been accustomed to a lifestyle where Dwarves controlled everything and Humans obeyed, without realizing that this only worked within the confines of this small Zhenbao Mine.
Once you step out of the Huitou Forest, everything outside is the Human world.
Just as old Tiequan often said, from here to the west, passing the White Stone City Wall, all the way to the Grass Sea, it was already Human territory.
Although they had heard from stray Humans who wandered in that Dwarf armies had tried to launch offensives near the Grass Sea for many years to recover old territories, they had never succeeded after all these years.
Shishou shook his head and shoveled again, clearing away the loose soil beneath his feet.
"I hope that Human has already fled, otherwise everyone will have to suffer quite a bit."
Just as Shishou finished talking to himself and before he could continue shoveling, a mocking voice drifted down from above the deep pit.
"Ah, then I'm sorry to disappoint you. I haven't run away, you know. Watch out for the Arrow!"
Shishou looked up, bewildered, and saw a cold light striking toward him; he only had time to raise the shovel in his hand before feeling a pain in his right chest—an Arrow had struck him there.
Fortunately, the sleeveless Leather Clothing he wore had many metal plates bound to the key areas of his chest; although this arrow had hit him, because it was shot too accurately, the metal plates had blocked the incoming Arrow instead.
"Not very effective."
Another voice came from above, followed by another Arrow.
But due to the angle and the lighting, Shishou opened his eyes wide and still couldn't see where that Human Knight was launching the attack from.
He had no choice but to wave his Iron Shovel, trying to block the Arrow.
But he had thought too much; the Iron Shovel was clumsy by nature, and Dwarves were not a race known for agility; even though he had been a powerful Divine Power Warrior during the day, he was quite helpless at this moment.
This arrow clearly showed the Human Knight had changed targets; he didn't shoot at the small target of the head, nor at the chest that would be blocked, but shifted slightly, and this arrow hit Shishou's right arm.
"Hiss—"
Shishou gritted his teeth and sucked in a cold breath; he couldn't just take a beating passively like this, but there was no cover anywhere around, only the funnel-shaped deep pit and the loose soil everywhere.
"Damn it! I'm not going to die here, am I? Gods! Have you stopped watching over me?"
Shishou shouted in despair, drawing a light chuckle from Jier, who was drawing his bow: "Whether the gods are watching you or not, I don't know, but I am watching you! Go to your death!"
But before Jier could loose his third arrow, at the edge of the deep pit opposite the side where the Dwarves were gathered, a young Dwarf with an injured nose covered in Ointment dropped the still-hot roasted meat and Bread he was holding, turned, and shouted loudly toward the place where the Dwarves were gathered: "Come quickly! Come quickly! That Human Knight has appeared! He's attacking Uncle Shishou!"
This shout immediately drew the attention of all the Dwarves.
Some Dwarves, upon hearing the news that the outsider Human Knight had appeared, immediately shrank back in fear, then looked around in a panic, hoping to find a safe place to hide.
Others, regardless of whether they were injured or not, gripped their respective weapons, but all turned to look at old Tiequan in the center of the crowd, waiting for the mine manager's orders.
Still others immediately drew their weapons, dropped the half-eaten food and Wooden Bowl in their hands, and rushed headlong in the direction of Xiaoxuezi's shouting. They were yelling all sorts of things, but most were just Dwarf-style profanities; the ones that weren't profanities were just stupid things like "Don't run anymore!" or "Stand still and fight me one-on-one!"
Old Tiequan saw the chaos all around, especially those reckless fellows who had rushed up to fight the outsider Human Knight; they had only managed to grab their weapons, but not one of them had thought to bring any lighting tools.
"Good grief! What are you all standing there for? Listen to my orders: one group to protect the wounded, half of those uninjured to prepare for battle, and the other half to bring lighting tools! We can't fight in pitch darkness, can we?"
Hearing the order, the Dwarves finally began to act in an orderly fashion.
The Dwarf Warrior holding a Spear rubbed his nose with his finger and excitedly signaled his four companions behind him to set off. Of course, he specifically said to the Dwarf Wild Priest who was also going to fight: "You lot just keep watch over the wounded! Fighting is something that should be left to us professional Soldiers!"
The Wild Priest holding the Metal Box curled his lip; without bothering to warn the fellow opposite him to be careful, he pulled his companions back to the side of the wounded Dwarves.
Looking at his confused companions, the Dwarf Wild Priest whispered: "Let them feel the strength and cunning of the enemy too, otherwise that guy will really think we're all inferior to him."
"Is that okay?" the Dwarf Warrior leaning on a Double-edged Battle Axe asked anxiously in a low voice.
"Why wouldn't it be? Our team members are injured and unable to fight, so naturally, the two of us can only guard the wounded. As for the fighting, let those 'professional' Soldiers handle it! It's what they demanded, anyway."
The Wild Priest snorted a puff of air through his nose, his face full of disdain and defiance.
The Dwarf Warrior leaning on the Double-edged Battle Axe continued: "I'm talking about Shishou; he's under attack, shouldn't we go support him?"
The Wild Priest's expression changed slightly, but there wasn't enough light around because many of the glowing plants that provided illumination had been temporarily taken away by the Dwarves, so no one could see his expression change.
He hesitated and replied: "So many people are going, it'll be fine. Besides, Shishou is a Dwarf Warrior who received a gift from the God of Strength, how could anything happen to him? You have to believe in our great God of Strength! A warrior chosen by the God of Strength won't be defeated so easily. Even if that fellow Shishou isn't very smart."
"Yes, that's right. You're right, the God of Strength will protect Shishou. But didn't he tell us before that the gifted power he received from the God of Strength had all been used up?"
The Wild Priest wore a strange smile that looked odd in the poor lighting, slowly comforting his companion: "It's no problem, you have to believe in the warrior chosen by our god. If he is truly favored by the great God of Strength, this isn't a difficulty at all; it's a test! Yes, it's a test!"
Hearing this explanation, the Dwarf Warrior nodded, clearly accepting this reasoning; it made sense—a warrior watched over by the gods naturally had to undergo all sorts of tests.
That's how it's always told in stories, isn't it?
After the young Dwarf's shouting, a nearby Dwarf Warrior immediately rushed over, and without even looking, shouted: "Where? Xiaoxuezi, where is that Human Knight you mentioned?"
The young Dwarf nicknamed Xiaoxuezi pointed his hand toward the opposite side of the deep pit; he hadn't actually seen the Human Knight's exact position, but when Jier shot the arrow, the reflection of the metal on the arrowhead had roughly exposed Jier's possible location.
"Probably right across! Watch out! He's shooting again!"
Jier's third arrow, however, did not aim at Shishou at the bottom of the pit; he raised it and shot toward the Dwarves on the opposite side of the large pit.
The young Dwarf let out a shriek and subconsciously breathed through his nose, only to be choked by the dried Ointment on his nose, coughing incessantly.
The arrow also flew over in an instant, accurately hitting the young Dwarf's abdomen.
However, the young Dwarf was wearing thick armor, so this arrow only pushed the young Dwarf down to the ground all at once, causing him to land on his bottom, without any other injuries.
The Dwarf Warrior who arrived in a hurry saw that Xiaoxuezi was fine, so he became cautious; he raised the Single-handed Crystal Shield at his waist to cover most of the front of his body, with only half a pair of eyes exposed above the top edge of the shield, while the rest of his head was protected by his Helmet.
Immediately, this Dwarf Warrior stepped forward toward the general direction where the Human Knight was located.
One step, two steps; the ground was somewhat soft, and although strange, it could allow one to stand more steadily during battle, which was actually a good thing.
Three steps, four steps.
Xiaoxuezi recovered from his panic and saw the Dwarf Warrior who had rushed over bravely passing him, raising his Shield to attack the enemy.
This should have been a mighty sight, but Xiaoxuezi hurriedly shouted: "Hey, hey, hey! Careful! You be careful!"
The Dwarf Warrior turned his head halfway and nodded heavily at Xiaoxuezi: "Rest assured, watch my performance! I am the number one in wrestling matches! In close-quarters combat, I don't think I will lose to anyone! Leave it to me!"
Just as he finished speaking, Xiaoxuezi shouted loudly: "No! You, you, you... in front! In front!"
This Dwarf Warrior turned his head and said solemnly: "The enemy in front is indeed very powerful; at this distance, I can already feel the pressure brought by that enemy! This is a battle destined to be eye-catching! It will surely be sung about by others!"
"Ah, ah, ah! Below! Below!" Xiaoxuezi screamed.
"Hmm?"
This Dwarf Warrior had not yet understood why he should be careful about what was below, when he immediately stepped into thin air, letting out a strange cry: "Guh—"
His whole body rolled forward, following the sloped edge of the large pit, and he tumbled all the way down.
Rumble-tumble, rumble-tumble, rumble-tumble...
Jier, on the opposite side of the large pit, raised his eyebrows, endured and endured, but finally could not help but laugh out loud.
"Hahahaha, what a 'powerful' Dwarf Warrior, truly amazing! What a bunch of pure idiots. Ha, hahahaha."
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the pit, Shishou was at a loss, not knowing how to deal with the shooting from above, when a Dwarf companion covered in mud rolled down behind him; fortunately, he heard the movement and dodged in time, otherwise, being hit from behind by a fully armed companion would have been a very dangerous thing!
The Dwarf Warrior who rolled to the bottom of the pit went directly into a semi-conscious state, and Shishou looked up at the direction of Jier above the deep pit: "What a formidable guy, to be able to shoot down our armored Dwarf Warriors with a bow and arrow from so far away?"
But he could not worry about that much; he muttered an apology, picked up the Crystal Shield from his dazed companion's hand, and although he did not usually use a shield or similar Single-handed Weapon, with the shield in hand, he was no longer afraid of the arrows shooting down from above.
The Dwarf Warriors came rushing over one after another, howling, shouting all sorts of messy things, and regardless of what the young Dwarf who was reaching out to stop them was yelling, they pushed him aside and rushed headlong toward the direction where the arrows were coming from.
Jier cunningly used arrows to lure these Dwarf Warriors into raising their shields for defense.
As a guy who often used a shield, he knew well that when a shield was raised to cover the front, the wielder's line of sight, especially the view of the ground directly in front, would be greatly obstructed.
This was nothing in itself.
But today, in this place, the result caused was too wonderful.
"If I tell people about today's events in a tavern, I suppose not a single drunkard will believe what I say, right?"
Jier smiled with a wink, but the action of drawing his bow and shooting did not stop for a moment; at this time, he could not care about Shishou at the bottom of the large pit at all. At this moment, he was full of anticipation for what was about to happen.
"Good babies! Come, come, come! Keep walking! Take two more steps forward! Hey, that's it!"
Immediately, Jier saw the scene that made him burst into laughter once again.
Those Dwarf Warriors were swarming forward to attack, but not a single one noticed that there was a huge deep pit in front of them.
There was no help for it; firstly, the lighting here was poor, and the reflective clouds that could have provided a little illumination in the sky had drifted away, so it was not pitch black here, but it was certainly impossible to see one's own fingers.
Secondly, these Dwarf Warriors had all their attention focused on preparing to beat up the invading Human Knight; with all their attention on the battle, who could pay attention to their feet?
Thirdly, this was originally an open, flat space in the center of the Cunzi, and these Dwarves had lived here for at least a hundred years; long-standing memory and habit made it impossible for them to remember that this place had been blasted into a large, deep pit by Shishou earlier this afternoon with a weapon infused with Divine Power.
Thus, amidst Jier's mocking laughter and the wailing of the young Dwarf who had been pushed to the ground, these Dwarf Warriors, one after another, stepped into thin air at the edge of the pit, let out half a curse, and rolled down toward the front.
With their mouths open, it was obviously inevitable that they would get a mouthful of dirt during the process of falling and rolling, and for those who did not make protective rolling movements after falling, once they rolled to the bottom of the pit, broken hands and feet were inevitable.
Everyone has to pay for their own stupidity.
Shishou's face was distorted in surprise; if one guy rolled down from above the pit, it could be said that the Human Knight's archery was excellent, but with so many people rolling down in such a short time, even if he were stupider, he would know the reason.
"Oh, great God of Strength! I really hope your gaze is not looking at me at this moment; this is truly embarrassing."
Shishou's eyes were rolling back into his head; he really did not want to deal with these stupid guys, but there was no help for it; he could not just leave these guys rolling together in a pile, you pressing on me, I pressing on him, he pressing on you.
It was neither decent nor safe.
Because the Dwarf Warriors were all wearing armor and holding shields and weapons, people pressing on people was dangerous enough just like that; if one were poked by a sharp Single-handed Axe from behind and then squeezed by more people, would that axe cause even more dangerous secondary injuries?
Rumble, rumble, Shishou's stomach growled with hunger again; he sighed deeply, ignored the Crystal Shield in his hand, threw it aside, and hurriedly freed his hands to separate the companions who were rolling and pressing against each other.
His right arm, which had been pierced by an arrow, was bleeding; he gritted his teeth, endured the pain, and did not stop his hands.
But after moving two unconscious guys, he could no longer ignore the blood flowing from the arrow wound on his arm. Simply being pierced by an arrow was not a fatal wound, not even a serious one, at most a minor injury.
But that was under the condition of receiving treatment. Shishou insisted on saving his companions despite the arrow wound, which caused the injury on his right arm, which he was using vigorously, to worsen.
Blood flowed down from his arm, and the blood loss made him feel dizzy for the first time.
Knowing things were bad, this Dwarf Warrior immediately used his left hand to undo the belt of his trousers under his Leather Clothing, and regardless of whether his trousers would fall off, he urgently wrapped the belt around his right armpit, wrapped it tightly around his shoulder, and restrained the blood from flowing through the Blood Vessel in his arm.
After getting this done, he was panting, and the blood loss made him feel like the whole world was spinning.
But there were still seven or eight stupid guys in front of him piled up randomly like an arhat; they had to be separated, otherwise the person at the very bottom might be crushed to death by the people on top.
Gritting his teeth, he stood up, grabbed the belt of an idiot with his left arm, let out a low roar, exerted force to drag him, and bit by bit, dragged the person aside, lying face up.
Shishou even helped clear the mouths and noses of the unconscious guys to ensure they were clear, so they wouldn't eat a mouthful of dirt and suffocate to death here.
"You, you guys, if you die here, heh-ho, wouldn't the responsibility be all mine! Ah, ah, ah, stay alive for me!"
Shishou exerted force and dragged away another stupid guy.
At this time, the top of his head gradually brightened; it turned out that the next batch of Dwarf Warriors carrying sufficient lighting items had arrived.
Jier saw another batch of Dwarves arrive and wanted to replicate the result that made him laugh heartily.
But these Dwarves were not only carrying weapons, but also holding or carrying lighting tools with glowing plants planted in metal basins at the top.
So he had no choice but to abandon this fun plan.
Jier drew his bow and shot an arrow, using the illumination from the opposite side to try and aim more accurately.
But the Dwarfs were certainly no fools; they raised their shields to cover their faces. Soon after, some pulled heavy throwing spears from the quivers on their backs and launched a rough counterattack in the direction the arrows were coming from, returning the favor.
A heavy throwing spear landed beside Jier, slamming into the ruins of a Dwarf house, snapping and kicking up a large cloud of dust and sparks.
Jier did not think his armor could withstand these dangerous heavy throwing spears, so after firing two more arrows, he immediately turned and retreated.
As for the Dwarfs opposite, they were puzzled: where had those fellows who rushed over to fight earlier gone? It was impossible; no matter how skilled a Human Knight might be, it was impossible to finish off nearly ten fully equipped Dwarf Warriors so quickly.
This place was so open, there was no chance for a sneak attack.
So, where were they?
The young Dwarf silently pointed to the bottom of the large pit ahead and said with an embarrassed expression, "Really, I tried to warn them!"
