Chapter 56: Which part of you haven't I seen?
Gu Yan was kissed awake at five in the morning.
Her consciousness was still in a dream; she only felt warm lips landing on her eyelids, then her cheeks, and finally, they gently captured her lower lip.
She hummed groggily and turned over to hide, but her waist was firmly circled.
"Time to get up." Shen Yanhui's voice was by her ear, carrying the huskiness of just waking up.
"No... sleepy..."
She buried her head into the pillow, pretending she hadn't woken up.
Shen Yanhui reached his hand under the quilt and rubbed her waist, "You promised me yesterday, forgot?"
Gu Yan certainly hadn't forgotten.
She just regretted it.
If she had known she had to get up this early, she definitely would have said she didn't have time and didn't want to go.
"Another day..."
Before she could finish, she was picked up, quilt and all.
Gu Yan gasped, instinctively wrapping her arms around him. The quilt slid down, revealing her snow-white skin, her camisole nightdress in a mess, hanging askew off her arm.
She shrank back, burrowing her whole body into his embrace.
Shen Yanhui carried her into the walk-in closet and set her on a soft stool.
Gu Yan was truly sleepy; her eyes were closed, her head nodding off, her long hair hanging in disarray over her shoulders.
He crouched down and grasped her ankles.
The young girl's toes curled, and she quietly opened one eye.
Those hands that usually signed multi-billion dollar contracts and held the power of life and death were currently putting socks on her.
Her heartbeat skipped a beat.
"What are you looking at?" Shen Yanhui didn't look up, yet it was as if he knew she was peeking.
"... Nothing." Gu Yan hurriedly closed her eyes.
Shen Yanhui stood up and directed her: "Raise your arms."
Gu Yan raised her arms subconsciously, only to see the man reach out to take off her nightdress.
"!!!"
"I'll do it myself!" She immediately hugged herself.
Shen Yanhui withdrew his hand, shoved it into his pocket, and tilted his chin, "Then go ahead."
"You get out..."
Shen Yanhui: "Is there any part of you I haven't seen?"
Gu Yan: "..."
She glared at him.
Fine then, if he wants to look, let him look.
She had a good figure anyway, she wasn't afraid at all.
Gu Yan feigned composure as she took off her nightdress, put on a bra, and changed into a linen dress.
If Shen Yanhui hadn't noticed her bright red ear tips, he probably would have really believed this young girl had truly grown some backbone.
He let out a low laugh and received an eye-roll in return.
Gu Yan's alertness only lasted through changing clothes and washing up; by the time they left, she didn't want to move again, squinting her eyes as she slumped on the sofa.
Shen Yanhui picked her up, and she simply gave up struggling, burying her face in the crook of his neck to visit the God of Dreams again.
Chang Su was already calm and composed as ever, opening the car door for the two of them.
The group bypassed the terminal and went straight to the tarmac.
Two flight attendants stood by the boarding stairs; when they saw Shen Yanhui walking over while carrying someone, surprise flashed in their eyes simultaneously.
They had served this Mr. Shen a few times.
His temperament was cold, he spoke little, and his whole being was written with the four big words: "I am not to be trifled with." However, he was generous with money, and many flight attendants in the company fought to work his flights.
Such an extremely cold man was actually carrying a woman today.
The woman was nestled in his chest without any defenses, her long hair covering most of her face, with only her petite chin and pouting red lips visible.
One of the flight attendants couldn't help it and took a quick look at her companion.
The two exchanged a look of gossip.
The plane took off quickly, and after reaching cruising altitude, the flight attendant tiptoed over to deliver breakfast and coffee, only to happen upon the man gently kissing the woman's lips.
Gu Yan was woken by the rich aroma of coffee.
Her eyelashes fluttered, and she opened her eyes, looking blankly at the cabin ceiling.
She turned her head.
Shen Yanhui was sitting beside her, holding a tablet and looking at documents. His other hand was resting on her waist, holding her loosely.
"Awake?" He seemed to sense her gaze and looked down.
Gu Yan blinked, her consciousness slowly returning.
"... We're on a plane?"
"Mm."
"Where to?"
"Lagos."
Gu Yan was completely awake.
She propped herself up to sit, and the blanket slid off. Outside the porthole was a rolling sea of clouds, the sky clear for ten thousand miles.
"You lied to me, saying we were going out for fun, but it turns out I'm accompanying you on a business trip." Although the words were a complaint, her eyebrows and eyes were curved into crescents.
Shen Yanhui: "If I didn't lie to you, would you have come?"
Gu Yan let out a "hmph" and said, "Am I such a heartless person?"
Shen Yanhui only smiled and said nothing.
Gu Yan grew angry and lunged over to bite his neck.
A faint pain came, but more prominent was the moist sensation of her lips and teeth.
Shen Yanhui's Adam's apple bobbed as he pulled her away, "Stop messing around. Are you hungry? Eat something first."
Gu Yan ignored him and continued to lunge forward.
The next second, her hands were restrained and her chin was pinched; the man returned her a deep kiss.
Gu Yan immediately behaved herself.
There were so many people on the plane; she didn't want to be watched for free, it was truly too shameful.
She obediently began to eat breakfast, but saw Shen Yanhui leaning against the seat back, motionless, seemingly calming himself down.
?
What exactly is in his head?
Men really are animals that think with their lower bodies!
Shen Yanhui pressed her head back down and said in a low voice, "Eat, don't look at me."
Gu Yan wanted to say something but stopped, choosing instead to shut her mouth and eat.
The breakfast on this plane actually tasted quite good; she drank all the porridge and even ate a steamed bun.
Shen Yanhui had likely calmed down, as he handed over a tablet with a calm expression, saying, "When we arrive in Lagos, I will be in meetings during the day. I'll have Chang Su take you out to play, and I'll accompany you again at night."
"Lagos has the largest art market in West Africa; you will like it."
Gu Yan lowered her head and swiped across the screen; it was a detailed art map. It not only had addresses and opening hours but also brief analyses of the styles of various galleries.
It was clearly done with great care.
Seeing this map, she would reluctantly forgive him.
——
The plane landed at Lagos airport.
Several senior executives of the Nigeria branch were already waiting on the tarmac. When the cabin door opened and Shen Yanhui appeared, they went up to greet him immediately.
Yet unexpectedly, that person in power at Shen Corporation stopped in the middle of the boarding stairs and turned to reach out a hand toward the cabin.
Then, a young girl was led out; her long hair was slightly messy, and she wore no makeup, yet it still could not hide her beauty.
Zhao Jun was the first to react, stepping forward half a pace: "Mr. Shen, you've had a hard journey. Who is this?"
Shen Yanhui: "Gu Yan. Let's return to Ikoyi first, report on the way."
Gu Yan was held by Shen Yanhui as she sat in the back row, and sleepiness struck her again. Zhao Jun, in the front passenger seat, turned around and began to report on the follow-up negotiations regarding the oil field accident.
"... The other party is demanding a renegotiation of the profit-sharing ratio, citing that this accident has made them doubt Shen Corporation's technical capabilities..."
These words seemed to have a hypnotic effect, and Gu Yan couldn't help but let out a small yawn.
Shen Yanhui lowered his head, "Sleepy?"
Gu Yan's eyes were veiled with a layer of moisture, and she nodded: "Mm..."
"Then sleep." He placed her head on his lap and instructed the front row, "Turn the air conditioning up two degrees."
Zhao Jun couldn't help but lower his voice while reporting.
The car drove into the Ikoyi district, the streets gradually grew quiet, and it finally stopped in front of a heavy iron gate.
The gate opened slowly, and the motorcade drove into a tree-lined path. On both sides were tall palm trees and neatly trimmed lawns; in the distance, the deep blue water of the Gulf of Guinea could be seen.
This was Shen Yanhui's property in Lagos.
Zhao Jun and the others watched the big boss carry someone and disappear inside the door, and couldn't help but ask Chang Su, who was to the side: "Assistant Chang, who is this Miss Gu?"
Chang Su thought to himself, she's your boss's wife, obviously.
But what he said out loud was: "Do not pry into Mr. Shen's private affairs."
