The Eater of Brains let out another horrifying screech.
The entire arena trembled. Lanterns hanging on the walls shook violently. Dust rained from the ceiling.
Nobody was already moving. His hearing was still damaged. Blood still stained parts of his collar. But compared to earlier, his movements had become steadier. More controlled and more experienced.
The giant eyeball embedded within the neural abomination glowed brighter. Veins bulged across its disgusting surface.
Then suddenly....
CRACKLE!
Blue electrical arcs started crawling through the monster’s neural tissue.
Nobody blinked. "...Oh come on."
The electrical energy intensified.
CRACK!
CRACK!
CRACK!
The system immediately responded.

Nobody sighed.
"Of course."
"Of course this tumor has electric attacks too."
Another electrical pulse exploded from the monster.

Lightning erupted across the arena floor.
Nobody immediately jumped sideways.

The floor exploded where he had been standing.
He landed smoothly. Then started running very fast. His shoes scraped against the stone arena floor.
The giant neural horror tracked him continuously. Electricity continued building around its body.
Nobody groaned. "It’s a freaking brain. Of course it has electricity. Brains literally run on electric signals."
"Why am I surprised?"
The system appeared.

The monster immediately fired another electrical wave.

A beam of electricity ripped across the battlefield.
"Whoa...!" Nobody ducked. The attack barely missed his head. The stone wall behind him exploded.

Pieces of rock were scattered everywhere. Nobody immediately accelerated.
Instead of running away, he began circling the monster.
Faster and faster.
And faster.
The neural abomination slowly rotated to keep him within sight. But its enormous body couldn’t turn instantly.
Nobody noticed immediately. "...Aha...I see it."
The monster wasn’t particularly fast. It was powerful, durable and dangerous. But not agile enough.
The system flashed.

He continued sprinting around the monster.
Each circle forced the floating horror to constantly reposition itself. Its giant eye tracked him. Its tentacles followed him. Its electrical attacks struggled to keep up.

Nobody attacked.

Twin blade crowbars appeared within his hands.
Blue pixels scattered around the weapons.
Nobody accelerated. "Let’s dance, baby....."
He jumped.
Very high.
Then swung.

The first crowbar struck a neural tentacle.
Purple fluid splashed. The monster screeched.

Nobody landed.
Rolled.
Jumped again.

The second crowbar cut across another fleshy appendage. The tentacle recoiled violently. The monster immediately retaliated.
WHOOOSH!
Three massive tentacles struck simultaneously. Nobody ducked beneath one. Jumped over another. Blocked the third.
CLANG!
The impact pushed him backwards. "...Still hurts so bad."
The system responded.

The electricity hit empty air.

A crowbar carved into the softer neural tissue.
The monster shrieked again.

He reappeared behind it.

The neural horror was finally taking visible damage. Veins ruptured. Purple fluid leaked. Several tentacles moved less efficiently than before.
The system rapidly displayed updates.

The giant floating brain continued bombarding the battlefield.
Electricity exploded everywhere. Stone shattered, lanterns burst. Dust clouds filled the air.
Yet Nobody continued advancing.

Closer.
The monster fired another electric wave.
Nobody slid beneath it. The wave passed inches above his head.
KRAAAAKK!
The wall behind him exploded.
Nobody reached striking distance. His focus narrowed. Twin blade crowbars spun within his hands.
The monster’s giant eye stared directly at him. Its tentacles rushed forward. Its electricity surged wildly.
Nobody grinned. "...Found you."
Then he attacked.
SHING!
One crowbar sliced through a neural tendril.

The second cut across exposed flesh.

Another strike.
SHING!

SHING!
Another.
Every blow landed harder than the last. Every strike pushed him closer toward the monster’s core. The Eater of Brains screamed loudly.

The entire arena shook. But Nobody didn’t stop.
Not this time.
Not after the illusions.
Not after the sonic attacks.
Not after the mental torture.
He continued attacking relentlessly. Twin crowbars flashed through the air again and again.

The Eater of Brains screamed as Nobody launched himself upward once again. His body spun through the air.
Twin blade crowbars flashed beneath the lantern light. "COME HERE!"

The crowbars smashed directly into the upper neural folds of the monster. Purple blood splattered everywhere. The giant eye twitched violently.
The pupil spun in circles.

Nobody landed briefly on one of the monster’s thick tentacles. Then jumped again.
BOOM!
Another strike.
SKREEEEEEEEE!!
Another scream.
BOOM!
Another strike.
The eye continued spinning erratically.
Nobody grinned. "Yeah! That’s what I wanted to hear!"
BOOM!
Another crowbar strike landed.
The neural horror convulsed. Its tentacles thrashed wildly.
Nobody pointed at it while airborne. "Let me smack you more! I have to repay every smack I gave myself because of your stupid illusions!"
BOOM!
Another hit landed.
The monster screeched so loudly that the entire arena shook.
SKRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE!
Then...
WHOOOSH!
One massive tentacle suddenly struck toward Nobody. The impact connected.
BOOM!
Nobody was launched backward through the air.
For a brief moment....he expected pain.
Instead...he twisted midair. Flipped and then landed smoothly.
THUD.
Both feet touched the ground with no damage.
Perfect landing.
Nobody blinked. "...Whoa."
The system immediately appeared.

Blue pixels exploded around both weapons. The twin-bladed crowbars flew together.

The ends connected perfectly. A much larger weapon appeared.
Part crowbar and part giant boomerang.
And Nobody loved it instantly. "...Beautiful."
The monster screeched.
SKRRRRRRREEEEEEEEE!!!!
Nobody pointed the weapon forward.
"Yo brain tumor..." A grin appeared. "...Eat this."
WHOOOOOSH!
The giant crowbar-boomerang launched through the air. It spun rapidly.
Faster.
Faster.
Faster.
The air screamed around it.
The monster tried moving but it was too slow. The eye widened.
Then..
CRAAAAACK!
Direct hit.
The spinning weapon slammed straight into the giant eye. Purple blood exploded outward. The monster released its loudest scream yet.

The entire arena shook violently. The eye ruptured. Blood poured continuously.
Nobody pointed excitedly. "YES! RIGHT IN THE EYEBALL!"
The giant brain convulsed. Its tentacles flailed uncontrollably. The eye was nearly destroyed.
Yet Nobody wasn’t finished. He looked toward the embedded weapon. Then got an idea.
A very stupid idea. Which usually meant it was his favorite kind.
The system seemed to realize what he was thinking.

The giant floating body began descending slowly.

The system finally appeared.

The screen tilted slightly.

A small holographic hand appeared.
