Chapter 1: Summoning the Eredar Demon
Near the western wilderness of Stormwind City, in a hidden basement of an inconspicuous small farm.
It was emitting a strange, eerie green light, a surge of extremely evil corrupting energy, constantly gathering toward this place.
This strange green energy, if a mage or holy knight passed by, would surely exclaim, "This is fel energy!"
Then they would pick up their staff or warhammer, ignite their anger, release holy light magic, and rush in to purge the heretics using fel energy inside.
Although the human kingdom now urges everyone to accept warlocks.
But among the populace, ordinary people still hold great hostility toward those warlocks who wield fel energy and deal with Burning Legion demons.
"Fel magic, life drain." A boy wearing a hood and holding a staff spoke.
His staff pointed at a small murloc, he was casting an extremely evil life-drain spell.
A stream of green life energy was continuously drawn from the murloc's body.
The poor murloc emitted pitiful cries.
"Squeak! Wah-wah squeak! Squeak!" In the eyes of the blue murloc, an expression of extreme terror appeared.
Its body gradually withered under the fel magic, until finally it was nothing but skin and bones, then turned into a desiccated corpse, completely dead.
Around the boy, there were also more than a dozen dead murlocs.
They were all nothing but skin over bones, their life energy completely drained; besides these murlocs, there were also more than a dozen corpses of worgen, gnolls, and similar creatures.
Without exception, all of them had their life force drained; these murlocs, gnolls, and worgen, no matter how many died.
It would not cause any major disturbance; rather, the more they died.
The locals would be even happier, these damned dirty things finally disappeared, at least they would no longer come to destroy the farmland.
"The life energy conversion should be enough, come on! Activate the demon summoning circle!"
A green orb appeared in the boy's palm, and the extremely evil fel magic began to be cast.
The huge green magic circle just drawn on the ground burst forth with dazzling, intense green light.
Around the summoning circle, there were also four fel imps tightly bound.
These four imps collectively rolled their eyes, contributing all the fel energy within their bodies.
And their humble lives, the demon summoning circle emitted green light.
The four fel imps screamed, turning into the purest fel energy that infused the circle.
A huge magical phantom appeared in the room.
It was a demon creature with deep red skin, horns on its head, and tentacle-like appendages on its chin resembling an octopus.
This is an Eredar.
This demon before us is a core force of the Burning Legion, an Eredar fel warlock.
More than a dozen murlocs, worgen, and gnolls — their lives were weak and insignificant.
Plus the four fel imps' gratuitous fel energy contribution, barely allowing the demon summoning circle to activate, randomly conjuring a phantom of a high-ranking Burning Legion demon.
"Who is summoning me? Summon the great Eredar fel lord, the mighty Archimonde?" As soon as it appeared, the demon asked.
"Fel lord?" It seems I didn't summon a minor demon this time, but rather a mid-level officer of the Burning Legion.
It could also be an upper-level officer, for any random Eredar clan warlock is a mid-level commander of the Burning Legion.
Compared to other lowly demons, they are not of the same rank; this one dares to call himself a fel lord. Thus, in the Eredar demon faction, he should not be a mere nobody, at least a mid-to-high-ranking officer.
He might even be a high-ranking commander of the Legion.
I don't know if these things I've brought can whet his appetite; this demon summoning ritual, Luode has prepared for several years.
To satisfy these demons' appetites, over the years he has slaughtered vast numbers of murlocs, gnolls, and worgen, collecting their soul shards.
For these Burning Legion demons, nothing is more valuable than soul shards.
"I want to make a deal with you, demon. I wish to exchange the soul shards in my hand for powerful fel magic and demonic knowledge." A blue orb appeared in the boy's palm.
The Eredar demon glanced at the soul shards in Luode's hand, showing a look of utter contempt.
From within came the wails of countless spirits, but judging by the quality of these souls, they seemed not very high.
They were merely soul shards of lowly murlocs, gnolls, worgen, and even some domestic animals.
If it were an ordinary lowly demon, these soul shards would still be quite tempting to the lowly demons of the Legion.
But if it is a powerful Eredar fel lord, heh, these things probably wouldn't even catch his eye.
And Luode also understood the fel lord's meaning; it seems he needs to activate a second plan.
I never expected it! This time I actually inadvertently summoned a high-ranking official of the Burning Legion.
"Hmph, these worthless weak creatures' soul shards are nothing but a bunch of lowly beings.
Even if the quantity is considerable, they possess only a hint of intelligence.
"With such trashy soul shards, do you really think you can obtain fel magic knowledge from my hand?" The Eredar demon looked down with disdain at the soul shards on the ground, then spoke.
"Indeed, as you said, mighty Eredar demon, fel lord Archimonde."
This time the soul shards I offer you are indeed extremely weak.
But you also see my current strength; I am merely an apprentice who has just begun to touch fel power.
"If you are willing to invest in me, in the future I could provide you with unexpected help, such as opening a portal for the Burning Legion." Luode said with a smile.
"You actually know the Burning Legion? Has your world been invaded by the Legion before? Wait! Is this... Azeroth?" The Eredar demon suddenly realized something.
Just now he hadn't noticed, thinking he was summoned by an apprentice warlock from some lowly planet.
But now, upon careful sensing, this world seems to be Azeroth, the place where the Legion suffered setbacks and failed twice in a row.
The most recent failure even cost the Legion one of its two great commanders, the mighty Defiler Archimonde.
"As you thought, mighty Eredar fel lord Archimonde, this is indeed the world of Azeroth." Luode said with a smile.
"Tell me, apprentice warlock, what is your name?" The Eredar demon, who had originally intended to leave, pondered a moment and then asked.
If it were another world, his leaving would be of no consequence.
He really doesn't look down on these lowly lifeforms' soul fragments.
Even if the circumstances and conditions permit, he would also conveniently take away the soul of this summoner boy.
But if this kid who is willing to contact the Legion, if his world is Azeroth, then that's a different matter.
It can be used.
