Chapter 115

~9 min read 1,675 words

At this moment. This tauren druid clearly sensed the summons of the Emerald Dream. Even. The call of the true master of the Emerald Dream, the Azeroth World Soul.

Azeroth desperately wanted to connect with the two beings before it, Wild Gods above, heavens! Even the Great Druid Malfurion has never personally heard Azeroth's voice, right?

I'm just an ordinary druid of the tauren tribe, having only practiced the Way of the Druid for a few decades, and I've only occasionally entered the Emerald Dream a few times; I never expected today that I would be fortunate enough to hear the call of the Azeroth World Soul.

"Both of you, I can take you into the Emerald Dream." the tauren druid said.

Now the Great Druid Malfurion has fallen into deep slumber, the great demigod Cenarius is in the process of resurrection, but I have obtained permission to open the Emerald Dream.

This permission is something only a top-tier Great Druid possesses!

After hearing this, not only Luode but Kaido were somewhat confused, because he had no idea what the Wild Power was, didn't know what place the Emerald Dream was, and didn't even know who the Azeroth new soul was.

But hearing that, it seemed like the other party wanted to give them great power! Hearing about the Wild God and such sounded very powerful.

Kaido immediately looked at Luode with an inquiring gaze.

At this moment, Luode also began to think. To be honest, if he didn't have the ability to traverse the myriad heavens, and if the Azeroth World Soul took a liking to him, Luode would without hesitation go work for someone else.

And it would be wholeheartedly so, after all the Azeroth World Soul is the thickest thigh; once she is born, no one in the Warcraft universe would be her match,

Moreover, the price they offer is high; the power of the Wild God directly lets you ascend to the level of a deity, and you also gain Azeroth's protection, so even if you are killed, you can later be resurrected in the Emerald Dream.

But the problem is, what's behind me? My back is the myriad heavens! Right now I've only just set out on my journey.

In the future I could obtain power far surpassing the Azeroth World Soul, so why would I work for someone?

But what Luode didn't expect was that the Emerald Dream actually is related to Azeroth, and is even Azeroth's backyard.

In the original setting, the Emerald Dream was a copy of Azeroth created by the Titans.

If Azeroth encounters any anomaly, the Emerald Dream can cover the entirety of Azeroth, equivalent to a world reset.

Later, due to some trivial daily reading, this setting was deleted again; the Emerald Dream is a fragment discovered by the Titan Keeper Freya, a space almost between reality and dreams.

Furthermore, in version 9.0, this place is also connected to the Verdant Wilds of the Shadowlands, so according to the latest setting, the Great Guardian Odin once said.

To attribute everything to the great Titans, so the Emerald Dream originally discovered by the guardians became something the Titans created, but here it should be the mental world of the Azeroth World Soul.

"Mr. Luode, this is the Wild God! It's a blessing from the Azeroth World Soul, what are you hesitating about?" the tauren druid said anxiously.

This is far beyond the Wild God, even the ultimate existence of the creator of the Way of the Druid, Cenarius, has issued him a task,

"Sorry, I don't currently want to enter the Emerald Dream, nor do I want to accept any Wild God power." Luode said after taking a deep breath.

When he said that, his heart felt like it was bleeding; this is the power of the Wild God! If you accept it, it's just awesome.

Accepting the power of a Wild God would instantly make one the supreme being in the world of Azeroth, but accepting that power might well make one a servant of Azeroth's World Soul, so Luode chose to refuse.

After hearing that, not only the tauren, druids, even Sa'er, but also some orcs, even trolls and blood elf mages, all wore looks of utter disbelief.

Human mortals should greatly desire longevity; becoming a Wild God basically removes any lifespan limit. Why would this human refuse? Such an opportunity to become a Wild God is something no one would pass up, right? Only saw the tauren druid clench his teeth, seeming to have made a decision; at that moment his body emitted a dazzling green light, then he came before Luode and said: 'Mr. Luode! She wants to talk with you; I, I can serve as your link.'

Are you willing? Are you willing to talk with Azeroth herself?

The other party is neither a druid nor any kind of Wild God.

Allowing Azeroth to speak directly with him would consume a great deal of her power, possibly plunging her into the Emerald Dream for a century of sleep, or even eternal slumber.

But for Azeroth, it's all worth it.

Upon hearing that, Luode pondered for a moment, then nodded,

Azeroth possesses self‑awareness and will instinctively seek help from people; for example, after Maigeni Tongxu turned into crystal form, he could communicate with Azeroth.

Anyway, if any danger arises, Luode will instantly activate a spatial jump, leave the world of Azeroth outright, then lie low until he possesses overwhelming power to return, because his own life always comes first.

Luode reached out and made contact with the tauren druid, then felt his consciousness arrive in a verdant green world.

A being that towers heaven and earth, with a body immense to the extreme—so vast its head cannot be seen at a glance—stood before him. Its form was somewhat blurry, facial features indiscernible, but from her outline one could faintly make out that she was female.

"From the day you first appeared upon my body, I sensed your presence; I have been observing you, a visitor from another world." Azeroth spoke.

Hearing that, Luode felt a surge of surprise—he hadn't expected that, upon his arrival, Azeroth would already have noticed him.

But upon reflection, it makes sense: the world of Azeroth is the cradle that nurtured them, so it's not strange for them to have noticed him.

"Great Azeroth, do you want me to become your servant?" Luode asked.

"No! I will not enslave any living being; I want to cooperate with you, to establish an equal relationship, and I need your help." Azeroth's World Soul spoke.

"You are the World Soul of Azeroth! Great as you are, what do you need my help with?" Luode said.

"You can travel to other worlds; I can sense it, especially after you opened the Dark Portal, a whole new world rule entered this world.

"You haven't yet noticed this change in the rules, but once you become stronger, you'll realize how important you are.

"You are the most precious drop of water in this world; to me you surpass everything." Azeroth's World Soul spoke.

That title made Luode a bit embarrassed—'the most precious drop of water in this world'.

"So what do you want me to do to help you?" Luode asked.

"My power is already immense; as long as I am born successfully, I will stand at the pinnacle of this universe and become one of the most powerful beings.

"But whether it's the Titans of the Pantheon, the Void Lords of the endless void, or the Fel Titan Sargeras, they all seek to transform me, to make me one of their own." Azeroth spoke.

"You mean you're not a Titan, right? But the Titans want to turn you into a Titan, the Void Lords want to make you a Void God, and even Sargeras wants to turn you into a Fel Titan." Luode asked.

I understand, so the Old Gods, or rather the Titans of the Pantheon, are all the same to Azeroth—they all want to turn Azeroth into their companion, and even Sargeras is no different.

"Exactly! My birth and what I will become in the future are my freedom; I don't want others interfering, so I ask you to help me rid myself of the Old Gods and cleanse the remnants left by the Titans." Azeroth said.

The Old Gods seek to transmute her into a Void creature, and the Titans' guardians are no different in that regard.

"I roughly understand your meaning, so you want me to help you, right?"

"Yes! I used to only be able to rely on Azeroth's offspring, but now I see new hope in you, and I have always wanted to contact you." Azeroth said.

"Then, Azeroth, what's in it for me?" Luode asked.

"I will mobilize my power, infusing life force into your body, making you a supreme Wild God, and your companion will be as well.

"However, I will only make him an ordinary Wild God, unlike you.

"Moreover, you can rest assured that the infusion of life energy will not erode your consciousness; life force is one of the six fundamental principles of the universe, and I am merely manipulating it to infuse you.

"You will remain yourself and will not become my servant—I guarantee that." Azeroth spoke.

She indeed did not deceive Luode on this point, because it was unnecessary; building a good cooperative relationship with the other party is what matters most to her.

Deception would instead affect the relationship between both parties.

"You are a woman, right?" Luode suddenly asked.

"Yes!" Aizelas said.

"Accepting the infusion of life energy to become a demigod of the wilderness is fine, but we need to establish a more intimate cooperative relationship." Luode said with a hint of a smile.

As long as I'm bold, Aizelas will take maternity leave!

"I roughly understand your meaning; if you can in the future become an existence equal to mine, then I will agree to your request." Aizelas, the World Soul, said.
