Chapter 119

~8 min read 1,510 words

At this moment, right before the gates of Ougeruima, the Horde's great army was engaged in battle with the demon army when suddenly a heavy footstep sound rang out.

Thud! Thud! Thud! As if the earth itself were trembling, the two sides locked in battle almost simultaneously stopped moving their hands, for from inside the Ougeruima city gate emerged a figure of immense size.

The gates of Ougeruima were enormous, yet this creature had to lower its head just to squeeze through.

This is a male about eight meters tall, with an extraordinarily burly build, with a pair of ox horns on his head and a massive spiked club resting on his shoulder. (Here's an explanation: due to the infusion of life energy, Kaido's physique has also increased, now standing over eight meters tall.) His appearance is somewhat human-like, but no human could possibly be over eight meters tall, right?

Moreover, that pair of huge horns on his head looks somewhat like ox horns—could he be a half-breed of tauren and human? Is that even possible? Tauren don't have such gigantic stature either.

Among those present, some orcs had seen Kaido before, but some newcomers to the Horde in Ogrimmar, such as tauren and trolls, had never seen such a strange fellow.

Kaido made a huge leap and landed in the middle of the battlefield.

Boom! Boom! The entire earth began to tremble.

A powerful aura kicked up a gale, directly separating the Horde and the demon army.

"Hahaha! This is the battle I've been craving! Saer, order your troops to fall back completely—I'll take them all on." Kaido gazed at the endless demon army and exclaimed excitedly.

This is what I've been looking for; this is the ultimate thrill I seek—I will slaughter every last demon.

"Kaido! The Horde's warriors will fight alongside you; you are a member of the Horde, and we won't let you fight alone." Saer said.

Are you kidding? The demon army outside numbers at least twenty or thirty thousand; to wipe them out, all of Ogrimmar's combat personnel must commit together.

"No! Leave this battle to me alone. Pull your troops back—I'm worried I might accidentally hurt them when the fighting starts." Kaido said.

Among them, the tallest are the tauren; to him, all other races are just little beans.

"Kaido! Don't be rash—the enemy is strong and numerous." Saer said.

"Trust me, pull your people back—I don't want to repeat this a second time." Kaido, spiked club on his shoulder, stood before the Ogrimmar city gate, staring at the endless demon army, and said.

This time, I want to fight properly, to fight with utter exhilaration.

"Warchief! This big guy looks incredibly strong, and last time he came to Ogrimmar he displayed unmatched power—we should trust him. If he runs into danger, we can back him up right away." said a female blood elf advisor mage standing beside Saer.

"I understand—Flame Storm. All warriors, the Horde's fighters, fall back; this is left to Mr. Kaido. Mr. Kaido is an immensely powerful warrior who will bring glory to the Horde." Saer roared.

The Horde's allied forces exchanged glances, then slowly retreated, since the Warchief had spoken—they could only obey.

"Everyone, carry the wounded brothers back; shamans, druids, and blood elf priests, please tend to the injured." Saer said.

Soon, all of the Horde's allied forces withdrew to Ogrimmar; outside the city remained only Kaido, the endless demon army, and the Demon Lord Kuluer.

"Unknown race, you have courage—daring to face the Burning Legion alone." Kuluer, looking at Kaido who was a head shorter than him, said.

"Hmph! You alone aren't enough for me to fight. Go bring out that lackey trailing behind you—I've spotted him." Kaido said.

At this moment, in a hidden valley on the outskirts of the Valley of Strength, a certain Abyssal Lord was hiding there. Others could not detect him, but Kaido's powerful Observation Haki could easily locate him.

After this infusion of life energy, Kaido's strength increased across the board, and his Observation Haki also improved.

"What nonsense are you spouting? Come on—I'll tear you to shreds." Demon Lord Kuluer roared, lifted his Cataclysmic Greatsword, and swung at Kaido.

"Hahaha! Then I'll kill you first—Blood Fury Eight Trigrams!" Kaido excitedly brandished his spiked club, his crimson rage, Armament Haki, and Conqueror's Haki enveloping him.

With a deafening boom, the two massive weapons collided—Kaido stood firm, not budging an inch.

And the demon lord Gul'kul abruptly stepped back, retreating several paces before stopping, his hand gripping the greatsword even trembling a bit.

"How is this possible? In a test of strength, this demon commander actually, actually lost to a mortal race! 'Unforgivable! Shadowflame!' Gul'kul roared, thrusting his palm forward to unleash a wave of shadowflame.

The power of this Shadowflame far surpasses that of an ordinary spellcaster, a continuous ribbon of shadowflame tens of meters long.

Yet this Shadowflame was easily blocked by the life energy emanating from Kaido.

Kaido's body radiated verdant green life energy, and his Armament Haki began to envelop his entire form.

Fel energy indeed counters life, but when life is strong enough, fel can do nothing—especially since Armament Haki's defense is not weak.

This Shadowflame inflicted no harm on Kaido.

"Is that all you've got?" Kaido shouldered his spiked club and let out a contemptuous chuckle.

"Come on! Kill him." Gul'kul snorted, brandishing his cataclysmic greatsword and pointing it at Kaido. His countless demon troops surged madly toward Kaido—hellhounds, hellfire, magitek mecha, doomsday guardians, dread wardens—all lunging at him.

The Burning Legion's ability to dominate countless realms lies in its endless demon cannon-fodder legions.

Demon sea tactics are what the Burning Legion excels at, and many strong warriors have been buried under their demonic hordes.

Kaido merely snorted, then charged into the demon horde, his spiked club whirling with mighty vigor.

"Vajra·Bullet!" Kaido's spiked club flailed wildly, unleashing a series of purple slashes.

These are the slashes Kaido unleashed, infused with wind power; even a single slash from the Emperor Kaido rivals the might of a master swordsman.

The massive slashes shot forth like wind blades from Kaido's spiked club, tearing countless demons to shreds before they could even reach him.

This move is a group attack, the most useful skill for clearing fodder aside from Conqueror's Haki.

"Hahaha! Ah! hahaha!" Kaido burst into a maniacal laugh, then slowly began his transformation.

His head became a dragon's head, horns sprouted, his limbs turned into dragon claws, and his body transformed into a dragon's torso.

Soon a dragon over 1,500 meters long appeared, its entire body cloaked in verdant green life energy and shining azure.

This transformation increased Kaido's size by a full third, making him a super colossus on the battlefield.

"Heaven‑rending wind, capable of destroying all things!"

Kaido, in dragon form, flew to the center of the demon horde and began to spin wildly, his whole body soaring like a sky‑piercing beast.

Outside the walls of Orgrimmar, a colossal dragon‑spawned tornado whipped up, and the denizens of Azeroth first grasped what cataclysmic battle power truly means.

Green wind‑blades shot from the spinning Kaido, lifting countless demons into the air before tearing them to pieces.

They became chunks of flesh that fell to the ground, leaving the battlefield drenched in gore.

On the ramparts of Orgrimmar, the watching Horde troops gaped, mouths agape, unable to believe the scene unfolding outside.

It was a scene of heaven‑shattering, earth‑rending devastation, a colossal divine dragon trampling the demon horde.

"By the Earth Mother, what power is this!" a tauren exclaimed.

"May the ancestors bless us; such a warrior fights on our side." an orc warrior said, tossing his axe to the ground.

"This guy can easily raze a city! By the Eternal Sun, his combat prowess now matches that of the Aspect Dragons." a blood elf mage said.

"Chief, letting this guy join the tribe is a wise choice." Saluфаер said.

"Hmm!" Sa'er nodded.

He thought he had overestimated Kaido enough, but he didn't expect that in the end he still underestimated him.

The demon army was indeed ferocious and fearless of death, but when faced with an irresistible force, they could only await death.

These gigantic wind blades, each tens of meters long, were something they could not possibly resist.

Many demon soldiers, along with their weapons, were torn to pieces together.

The battlefield was a mess after most of the demon army had been cleared away.

Kaido transformed into his dragon-human form, landed on the ground, and then gave a mocking look toward the demon king Kulu'er.

"Great Virtue! Thunderous Eight Trigrams!"

An unstoppable strike was unleashed, directly hitting Kulu'er's head.

With a blow of the staff, a certain demon king could no longer stand, swaying and collapsing onto the battlefield.

Half of his head had been smashed, but thanks to the demon's tenacious vitality, he was still alive.

Kaido snorted coldly, stepped forward to pin his back, then grabbed his demon wings with both hands.

He revealed an extremely cruel, evil smile.
