Chapter 163: Void, Holy Light, Arcane: the Soul Energy of the Holy God

~8 min read 1,494 words

Just as the atmosphere in the room grew increasingly ambiguous, a light cough came from the doorway, along with a knocking sound.

Only Liadelin was seen wearing a full set of paladin plate armor, looking at the scene inside the room with a half‑smile.

The three people in the room were in slightly different states; the two grand astrologers were almost clinging to Luode, even touching his indescribable spot.

"Did I interrupt your game?"

"Not at all, Liadelin; we're discussing business with Lord Luode, and we want to talk price with him." Suolanlian looked at Liadelin and revealed a strange smile.

"Yeah, do you want to come over and discuss the price with Lord Luode together?" the astrologer deputy on the other side also said with a half‑smile.

"Hehe! Watch out—Sylvanas might come over and give each of you a banshee howl! Or perhaps you'd like that woman with the wolf‑tooth club to come cause you trouble?" Liadelin spoke.

These past few days, the Banshee Queen went out to attend a gathering with the Horde; otherwise she'd definitely give you two a good beating, you bunch of magic‑studying astrologers. You're the craziest bunch of women in all of Silvermoon City.

"Tch! Don't spoil the fun! This is a demigod—don't you want to take action against a demigod?"

"How about we three do it together? You must also be here to see the demigod lord about crafting a soul weapon, right?"

"Lord Luode, can you really give us a discount on this?" Liadelin blurted out, possessed by impulse.

"Ugh! Cough cough! If you insist, I'll just take five years of lifespan from each of you and give you a discount." Luode spoke.

"Damn! Three blood elf girls came together—whoever refuses is a turtle‑king bastard. As a real man, a pure‑blooded guy, Luode certainly couldn't refuse; he gritted his teeth and went ahead."

"Hahaha! Liadelin, you heard that—hurry up and close the door? The demigod lord has already agreed."

"All right, but it's just fooling around, Lord Luode—afterward there'll be nothing between the three of us, okay?" Liadelin turned, shut the door, locked it, glanced at Luode and flashed a smile.

"Of course!"

"Then come on, Demigod Lord—let us see your demigod greatness."

"Do you want to first experience the mystery of arcane magic?"

"Or the fervor of holy light?"

"Or perhaps the darkness of the void?"

On the three girls, three different lights shone respectively—arcane, shadow, and holy light.

Deep‑blue arcane light, purplish shadow power, and golden holy radiance flashed simultaneously within the room.

Three shining female elves stood before Luode, displaying the energies they each cultivated.

"I will let you embrace the life force and get to know the boundless love and greatness of life."

Luode seized the great holy light with one hand, touched the dangerous shadow power in the void with the other, and buried his head in the arcane ocean.

"Immerse yourself in the gentle beauty of the great holy light! Come, Lord Luode, come feel this greatness." Liadelin grabbed Luode's both hands, making him feel her holy light's great radiance.

"False holy light can't harm me, Liadelin." Luode blocked her great holy light power with one hand and spoke.

"Ah! Come taste it—this holy light's fervor!" Liadelin's whole body was enveloped in golden radiance, letting Luode personally taste the greatness of her holy light.

The immense holy‑light pressure left Luode gasping for air. Liadelin used to be a priest, but now she's undergone blood‑knight training and is even the first blood knight; the holy‑light power she wields is incredibly overbearing! Luode's whole face could barely withstand her fervent holy light.

"Get out of that false holy light, the void's darkness will devour you, Lord Luode—come delve into the void!" Grand Astrologer Suolanlian spoke.

"Dangerous void can't withstand my power either; the wilderness demigod's majesty isn't for you to scorn. I'll pierce your void and make shadow submit to me." Luode began clashing with Suolanlian's void power.

"I await with bated breath—come launch an attack on me so I can witness your strength, Lord Luode." Grand Astrologer Suolanlian spoke.

Soon, shadow too collapsed just like the holy light.

After subduing holy light and shadow in succession, Luode was a bit out of breath, but the great arcane ocean still had no intention of letting him go.

"Arcane energy! It's the power of order, the most miraculous force in this world—come feel it." Advisor Astrologer Deputy spoke. After the battle, Luode came to grasp the marvel of three different primal energies.

The fervor and warmth of holy light, the darkness and depth of the void, the arcane ocean—all are equally captivating.

After experiencing the three different energies, Luode readily crafted weapons for the two astrologers: one arcane‑steel golem each, one magical trinket each, one top‑grade staff each, each paying three years' worth of soul energy.

Furthermore, both parties agreed to meet again when free so Luode could gain insight into arcane and void power.

Meanwhile, Liadelin also donned her own plate armor, bringing her weapon and shield over.

"My weapon's quality isn't great, so in battle I still rely heavily on my shield." Liadelin spoke.

Although she is an offensive retribution paladin, the blood elves' frail physique still led her to wield a shield in battle to bolster her defense.

Luode nodded, mobilized soul energy, and infused ten years of lifespan into Liadelin's shield and one‑handed sword respectively, turning them into Homiz‑craft soul weapons.

"Liadelin! Have you decided what to use the third slot for? Want me to enhance a holy‑light trinket for you?" Luode asked.

"Lord Luode! After becoming a paladin, my ranged attack means are somewhat weak."

"Can you make me something that can automatically stay by my side and perform ranged attacks?" Liadelin spoke.

When those two astrologers left, each was carrying an arcane‑steel golem.

I just had Luode fully experience the greatness of holy light, so I certainly need to craft a soul weapon capable of ranged spellcasting! "This works too—I'll make you one that can unleash fire‑spell attacks anytime, anywhere by your side. How about a soul weapon?" Luode asked.

"That's truly grateful, Lord Luode—I have a fire ruby here; please use it as material." Liadelin produced a fiery red gem, handed it to Luode, and spoke.

"For a soul weapon capable of elemental attacks, it's best to infuse some of your own soul—this isn't me being stingy; otherwise you'd have trouble controlling it." Luode spoke.

"No problem—actually, lifespan isn't important to us blood elves; frankly, just now the better experience for us has been you, Lord Luode." Liadelin spoke.

Luode nodded slightly, told Liadelin not to resist, then drew out twenty years of lifespan—a pure soul—which Luode extracted.

Again, this soul containing holy‑light energy is far stronger than an ordinary soul, much purer, and contains a trace of holy‑light energy.

Recently Luode realized something: the soul energy of paladins and priests is damn useful! If he had a large amount of holy‑light energy and endowed it with souls, could he perhaps create a special holy‑light life akin to the Naaru? A flash of inspiration struck Luode's mind these days—he'd drawn plenty of priest and blood‑knight soul energy, these souls infused with holy‑light power having exceptionally high affinity for holy light.

Professions that wield holy light—priests and paladins—are a great bargain! Why not seek out the Silver Hand's paladins for a trade? This supremely pure holy‑light energy is something Luode values highly.

But now isn't the time to think about that—Luode took half of Liadelin's soul energy, set it aside, and combined the other half with roughly a century's worth of feral werewolf soul energy.

Furthermore, adding some of the fire he'd crafted, letting Liadelin infuse holy‑light power, using the red fire ruby as a carrier, Luode fashioned for Liadelin a Homiz capable of unleashing holy light and controlling fire.

"Thank you for granting me life, Lord Luode, and my master."

"When we created you, we used fire and holy‑light power—can you control these two forces?" Luode asked.

"Yes, Lord Luode—I can unleash fire attacks, also discharge divine holy‑light power to strike enemies, and I can likewise use holy‑light energy to heal allies." The Holy Light Fire Homiz construct spoke.

Hearing this, Luode nodded—indeed his method works; it seems he needs to gather more souls imbued with divine energy.

I can create a Holy Light Naaru, do you believe it? "I'm very satisfied with this soul weapon, thank you, Lord Luode, if you need to feel the greatness of the Holy Light again, come find me anytime." Liadelin kissed Luode's face.

"Sure, sure." Luode said.

"Hehe! I'm leaving, Lord Luode, remember to think of me!"

In the following days, Luode continued to craft soul weapons and collect soul energy, especially the Holy Light-attributed soul power.

A few days later, members of some other tribal races also came to the Void Storm, and they likewise learned about the soul weapons obtained by the blood elves.
