Chapter 206: God of Order, God of Life, God of Space
The one coming to greet them was a man wearing golden armor, a golden horned helmet on his head, holding a two-handed greatsword, his eyes amber—this man was Heimdall, the guardian of Asgard.
His eyes had a special ability, allowing him to see everything happening in every corner of the Nine Realms, and he also controlled Asgard's most important Rainbow Bridge.
He was the first line of defense guarding all of Asgard.
Though his ability is awesome and sounds strong, whenever Asgard faced invasions, his performance in the movies was just so-so! When fighting Dark Elves, he almost got killed by spicy chicken shreds; facing the Death Goddess Hela, he had no power to resist, only able to lead a group of refugees to flee; when facing the Fenrir Wolf, if not for the Hulk's intervention, he would have been taken down.
Beside him were several Asgard soldiers in armor, coming together to greet Luode and the others.
"Guardian Heimdall, hello—true fame falls short of meeting you." Luode chuckled and offered a greeting.
"Three unknown deities, God King Odin is waiting for you; please follow me." Heimdall glanced at Luode, Sargeras, and Azeroth and said.
As for the few people behind him, they were simply ignored in grand fashion.
"What do you mean! Then what about us!"
"Odin only invited these three gods; as for you, you can follow my soldiers to tour the palace—I've already prepared some food for you." Heimdall said.
"Looks like the God King doesn't want to see us, then boss, we'll go eat first; we'll meet later—should I save you some?" Yongdu asked.
"No need, just take care of those three; has Quill recovered yet?" Luode glanced at the downcast Star Lord and asked.
During this time, Star Lord had been like this every day, muddled and aimless, even locking himself in his room during space travel.
Obviously, he had not yet recovered from the pain of his father killing his mother.
"I'm fine! I just want to quickly kill that bastard and avenge my mother." Star Lord said with a resentful face.
"I will make him leave this world," Yongdu stared at this kid, I'm leaving." Luode smiled and said.
"Don't worry, boss, I'll comfort this kid." Yongdu stepped forward and patted Star Lord's shoulder.
Luode nodded and left with Sargeras and the others.
"Letting you kill Ego? That's definitely impossible—this guy still needs to be brought back for Sargeras to use as a charging battery and test subject! But I can guarantee that after he leaves this world, his life will be worse than death."
"These past few days, Luode probed from the side, asking Sargeras whether he wanted to reclaim Star Lord or infuse him with fel energy."
Sargeras's answer was that such an idiot is completely unnecessary; his personality is too awful, he's not material for a strong one.
Moreover, with the power of the gods, capturing his father is enough; there's no need for this demigod of gods.
So Luode also stopped worrying about Star Lord; after this event ends, let Yongdu take him away—from now on, let him honestly be a Cosmic Scavenger.
Under Heimdall's guidance, everyone arrived at Asgard's palace.
Odin held the golden spear Eternal Spear, wore battle armor, sat on the throne; his queen Frigg sat beside him, smiling and gesturing to the crowd.
"Welcome to my realm, few unknown yet powerful gods." After the three entered the main hall, Odin immediately rose and spoke his words of welcome.
Only after seeing Azeroth and Sargeras did Odin realize how powerful they were; the aura they emitted and the unknown divine power flowing through their bodies left him trembling.
Especially their aura, which seemed very similar to that of the cosmic gods, giving a sense of a world spirit.
"Hello, great God King Odin, I am Luode; these two are the God of Order Sargeras and the God of Life Azeroth." Luode said.
In the Marvel world, Sargeras and Azeroth had long prepared their identities.
Sargeras normally does not wield fel power, so he bears the title of God of Order; as for Azeroth, she is the God of Life.
"And you? Young deity, what god are you?" Odin looked at Luode; although he was the weakest of the three, he seemed faintly to be their leader, which struck him as strange.
However, the aura emanating from him made Odin dare not underestimate his power; he was even stronger than Odin's own son Thor.
"My situation is special; I grasp a hint of space power, so I consider myself a God of Space." Luode said.
Now, regarding the use of space power, Luode is becoming more mature; in the future, as long as his strength increases, the Space Stone will definitely be inferior to him.
"Then, God of Life, God of Order, and God of Space—what brings the three of you to Asgard?" Odin directly got to the point and asked.
Luode nodded at Azeroth beside him, signaling her to step forward and speak.
"Great God King Odin, I am Azeroth, the God of Life; we wish to make a deal with you."
"We need to borrow the Space Stone in your hand, that is, the Cosmic Cube." Azeroth looked at Odin and said.
"You want to borrow the Space Stone? Then what do you plan to offer in trade?"
"God King Odin, is everyone here worthy of your trust?" "They are all my personal guards; you can speak directly." Odin nodded and spoke.
"Then I'll speak plainly, God King Odin; I command the life force, I can see that."
"Your days are numbered; you have at most a few years left." Azeroth said.
"Impudent, how dare you, how dare you curse the God King?"
Several Asgard soldiers immediately objected, glaring angrily at Azeroth, "Have you lost your mind? You come up and curse our king, saying his days are numbered."
Bang! Odin shook his Eternal Spear, producing a huge sound.
"Retreat!"
The Asgard soldiers, seeing this, could only retreat helplessly.
"It seems you truly are the God of Life; you can detect all this—correct! My life is nearing its end." Odin nodded and spoke.
Azeroth emanated an unmatched, powerful life aura, so her self-proclamation as God of Life was beyond doubt to Odin.
Moreover, it is perfectly normal for the God of Life to discern his own problem.
When Queen Frigg heard this, her expression changed; she looked incredulously at her husband.
Odin had clearly said before that he could still hold on for a while! How, how could he have only a few years of lifespan left?
"Frigg, there are some things I'll tell you when I return; there are guests now." Odin looked at his queen and spoke.
Frigg nodded, said nothing more, and resumed her exceedingly dignified expression.
"Lay out your chips! What do you want to exchange for the Infinity Stone in my hand?" Odin asked.
"I can let you live longer; I can infuse you with strong life force, increasing your lifespan." Azeroth smiled slightly and said.
This was what she and Luode had previously agreed upon—using extended lifespan to sway Odin; for Odin now, what he lacks most is lifespan.
And Azeroth lacks nothing when it comes to life force.
"So you can increase Odin's lifespan! Dear, this is wonderful." Queen Frigg showed a delighted expression.
After hearing the news that her husband was about to die, she felt terrible; upon hearing that she could increase his lifespan, she showed a surprised, delighted expression.
"Are you sure? God of Life! I am also a god, and a God King—would increasing my lifespan not affect you greatly?" Odin said.
As a God King–level existence, increasing my original lifespan is no small matter.
"Don't worry! Odin God King, since I dared to come, I will definitely increase your lifespan." Azeroth said.
Recently Luode had found her a lot of energy; the energy in her soul is now abundant beyond measure, even reaching a saturated state.
This energy, she can at any time convert it into life force.
Although a God King's life force is very strong, Azeroth still has confidence that she can raise the other's basic lifespan.
"If what you say is true, then our deal can be made; I can hand over the Infinity Stones for you to use—how long would you like to borrow them?
"And how many years of lifespan can you give me?" Odin asked.
If the other party can solve his lifespan problem, then Hela's problem is no longer a problem; as long as he doesn't die, Hela will never be able to leave that prison.
"If you lend us the Cosmic Cube, then we will increase your lifespan by ten years.
"If you can provide us with some Uru metal, your lifespan can still increase, and you will definitely not lose out." Luode went to Azeroth's side, smiled, and said.
Naturally, I will handle the negotiations myself; Asgard has plenty of good things.
"I agree! I can command the dwarves of Nidavellir to provide you with some Uru metal and forge artifacts for you.
Each of you can forge an artifact of your own design, with the specifications entirely up to you.
"In that case, how much lifespan can you give me?" Odin nodded and said.
As long as he can increase his lifespan, he is willing to give up anything.
The production of Uru metal is indeed low, but not nonexistent; as for the Infinity Stones, they are even less of a concern.
