Chapter 370

~13 min read 2,433 words

Qutuosi's soul was instantly pulled out of his body, and Luode's soul-hooking claw possessed immense power, even capable of extracting the soul of an entire Titan giant.

Hades wanted to try and see if he could kill Qutuosi; he had some doubts about his fate and wished to test himself against this newly ascended war god, Qutuosi.

He wanted to gauge the opponent's true strength—though he had defeated Bosedong, that victory had only been achieved with Gaia's help.

As for defeating the war god Arisi, it had only been possible through the full assistance of all the gods, since Arisi had already rebelled against Olympus, prompting many major gods to lend Qutuosi their aid.

Therefore, even if the opponent wielded Olympian divine power and Titan godly strength, Hades did not believe he would lose to them.

The Three Furies, the Three Fates, or even his own subordinate, the death god Thanatos—these minor deities were utterly beneath Hades' notice; only major god-level beings could represent true combat power, and precedents existed where demigod heroes had defeated gods.

If Qutuosi were purely a mortal slaying gods, Hades would still hold him in high regard.

However, Hades knew that Qutuosi was Zeus's son and, strictly speaking, a demigod hero.

Yet facing Qutuosi, Hades showed no complacency, immediately unleashing a killing move that directly tore out half of Qutuosi's soul.

But Qutuosi, relying on his sheer brute strength, forcibly jerked his soul back, then swung his Blade of Exile, launching into a decisive battle with Hades.

Qutuosi's overall divine power level appeared inferior to Hades', but when they truly fought, the gap became immediately apparent—Qutuosi's combat experience far exceeded Hades' expectations.

When Hades attempted to fully suppress Qutuosi using his underworld divine power, this bald-headed fighter unexpectedly disregarded martial decorum by drawing the Olympian Holy Sword, then erupting with a force even this god-king could barely withstand.

"Ah!" Qutuosi erupted with Spartan Rage; the first time he had ever unleashed his anger, he believed this power was a gift from the heavens, so he called it Heaven's Wrath.

The second time, after falling from his position as war god, accepting Titan power, and gaining Prometheus's abilities, this fury was named Titan's Rage.

The third time, upon obtaining the Olympian Holy Sword, Qutuosi finally realized this fury, this madness, was an innate trait carried in his bloodline.

This was truly his own power; upon entering this state, Qutuosi's wounds healed rapidly, his stamina recovered quickly, and he gained an indestructible diamond-like body, with his combat power multiplying exponentially.

Moreover, wielding the Olympian Holy Sword made this fury even more formidable, like adding wings to a tiger.

After drawing the Olympian Holy Sword and unleashing Spartan Rage, the previously advantaged Hades immediately fell into disadvantage, being beaten by Qutuosi into a disheveled state.

Qutuosi fiercely kicked Hades in the knee, forcing him to kneel on the ground.

Then he leapt onto Hades' chest, using his Blade of Exile to tear the flesh from Hades' chest clean off.

"Ah! Damn Spartan, I will make you know my wrath!" Hades roared, his underworld divine power fully erupting as shadows engulfed his entire temple, countless iron chains and tentacles lashing out.

He then used his divine power to attempt to summon back his lost flesh, but Qutuosi would not allow Hades to succeed.

Instead, Qutuosi directly took the Olympian Holy Sword and, before Hades' eyes, hacked his flesh into pieces, rendering it irreparable.

Then, repeating the same method, he tore a large chunk of flesh from Hades' abdomen; these two devastating blows plunged Hades into a frenzy.

The underworld claw swept across, carving a river of the dead in Hades' palace, where countless wronged souls began to wail.

Qutuosi's Blade of Exile and Hades' hooking claw crossed, the two began comparing strength, then each swung their other weapon to attack.

Hades discovered with surprise that, in pure strength, he was not a match for this Spartan—Qutuosi's power was astonishingly great; though Hades dragged him into the river of the dead several times, Qutuosi always climbed back out.

But Hades was not so fortunate—the Blade of Exile, enchanted by Yatianna, clearly possessed an attribute that deepened damage against Olympian gods.

Each swing of Qutuosi's weapon caused Hades immense pain, and combined with his prior severe wounds, Hades was utterly panicked.

Qutuosi seized the opportunity, using his dual Blades of Exile to directly hang Hades from the ceiling.

Then he delivered a skull-splitting blow to Hades, even knocking off his helmet, then seized Hades' weapon—the Soul-Hooking Claw.

Hades transformed once more into a giant god state, a towering figure tens of meters tall, his lower body naked in the river of the dead, only his upper body visible as he frenziedly attacked Qutuosi.

But this final resistance was futile; Hades was completely beaten by Qutuosi, and even this bald-headed one tried to use Hades' weapon to hook out his soul.

At this critical moment, a blue-white arrow, emitting a chilling aura, suddenly shot toward Qutuosi.

It forced Qutuosi, who was in the process of seizing Hades' soul, to helplessly cease his action, then he blocked the arrow with the Golden Fleece.

Turning his head, he saw a tall, beautiful-faced woman with pointed ears standing nearby; the arrow in her hand looked somewhat familiar—wasn't this the one he had used before?

Silvanas had no intention of wasting words with Qutuosi; she raised her hand and fired three arrows.

Qutuosi coldly snorted! The Golden Fleece emitted a sound, then released dazzling light, directly reflecting Silvanas' attack back at her.

Even the reflected force exceeded that of Silvanas' original arrow, catching her off guard and directly blasting the queen into flight.

The Spartan Ghost showed no pity, leaping up and swinging his Blade of Exile, aiming straight for Silvanas' head.

Silvanas' soul nearly fled in terror; this bald man's ferocity far exceeded her imagination.

Relying on her exquisite and agile footwork, Silvanas barely dodged several of Qutuosi's attacks.

But then Qutuosi's Blade of Exile lashed out, entangling her arrow; he exerted force, and Silvanas could not even hold onto her own arrow—Qutuosi seized her weapon.

Then the queen was punched to the ground by the bald one—oh, it hurt! Pain spread throughout her body; she had never endured such a heavy punch, such exaggerated force.

After just a few exchanges, a single simple punch had already robbed her of combat ability.

"Witch! This is my weapon—why is it in your hands?" Qutuosi demanded.

This bow and arrow had been left with Gaia, and his wife and daughter were there too; Qutuosi now worried about their safety.

Upon hearing this, the Silvanas lying on the ground instantly widened her eyes, glaring furiously at Qutuosi.

"You, you just called me what? You, you called me a witch?"

Damn bald head, where do I look like a witch? Are you blind?

"Answer my question, or I'll kill you, witch." Qutuosi bellowed, the shout causing blood to appear in Silvanas' ears.

Damn it, this guy is fundamentally not on my level—in his presence.

I'm hardly different from ordinary foot soldiers; if it weren't for his desire to question me, I'd feel already slain.

At that moment, a spatial fluctuation occurred; the beaten-unconscious Hades and the Silvanas lying on the ground suddenly vanished, leaving only the dazed bald head behind.

"Zeus! Is this another of your scheming plots? You dare think to stop me—I will surely kill you."

Qutuosi roared, retracted his spoils—the Soul-Hooking Claw—then leapt into the river of the dead; with this, he no longer needed to judge the dead within the river.

In the private space at that moment, Luode watched the beaten-unrecognizable Hades, helplessly shaking his head—this guy had been beaten terribly!

His skull was shattered, half his brain had been pierced by Qutuosi's Blade of Exile, the flesh on his chest and abdomen had been sliced off by Qutuosi, and even his soul had nearly been taken. "Heavens, Luode, I feel I was just about to be killed." Silvanas lay sprawled on the ground, gasping heavily, speaking with lingering fear.

"Hahaha! This is your own doing—you just said you wanted to experience this world's top combat power, so I let you go fight him." Luode said.

Upon hearing this, Silvanas rolled her eyes; she indeed did not want to become Luode's burden, so she had offered to help him fight, but what monster did you assign me as an opponent? I could barely survive two rounds against him—whether in strength, explosive power, speed, combat experience, or ferocity, I am utterly incomparable to him.

"I don't care, you must get justice for me. You heard it too—he just called me a witch." Sylvanas spoke.

When a woman is bullied and can't fight back herself, she thinks of another way—getting her man to fight back for her.

"Hahaha! Don't rush! I'll teach that arrogant Spartan a lesson—forever." Luode said with a laugh.

"That's about right! Though I now understand why you wanted to recruit that bald guy earlier.

His combat power is indeed incredibly strong—he's practically a born warrior.

Too bad his personality is too wild and untamable—he won't submit to anyone." Sylvanas slowly sat up, rubbing her sore arms as she spoke.

"I'll make him serve me. I'll make him one of my Six Paths avatars." Luode said.

"What are you going to do with this Hades?" Sylvanas asked.

Although this so-called Hades possesses god-level power, Sylvanas feels his combat ability is truly lacking—he was suppressed and beaten badly by that bald guy.

If I hadn't placed two cold arrows nearby for a sneak attack, and Luode hadn't rescued him from the side, this Hades would already be dead at that guy's hands.

"Let him rest for now! I estimate he won't wake up anytime soon." Luode said.

Although he wasn't directly killed by having his soul snatched like in the original, Hades is still seriously injured now.

"What are you going to do with my weapon? I just got it and it's not even warm yet—then that bald guy snatched it away." Sylvanas asked.

"Don't worry, I have it arranged. Rest assured—soon you'll get an even better weapon." Luode said.

At this moment, Qutuosi, after traveling for a while, arrived at the domain of Hephaestus, god of fire.

"Your appearance here means Hades has fallen."

"He was indeed defeated by me, but that bastard Zeus intervened and rescued him." Qutuosi said.

Upon hearing this, Hephaestus rolled his eyes—being rescued by Zeus, I see it was actually Lord Luode who saved him!

But Lord Luode truly is prophetic! Now we just wait for your performance.

The two then exchanged friendly words, during which Hephaestus casually mentioned the Olympian Sacred Fire and informed Qutuosi that entering it would instantly reduce him to ashes.

"Is there any way to extinguish the Olympian Sacred Fire?" Qutuosi asked.

"Oh! You asked the right person—I happen to know a method. Do you know Typhon, the Monster Lord?"

Qutuosi nodded and said: "I know him—I saw him not long ago and took a bow and arrow from his eyes."

"That makes it much easier to explain. Typhon once gave birth to an extremely strange lifeform, its form resembling a blazing sun of fire.

He possesses a very special ability—he can devour all kinds of flames. Find him and let him consume the Olympian Sacred Fire, and it will be done." Hephaestus said.

"Where can I find him?" Qutuosi asked.

"If you can find the Olympian Sacred Fire, then I'll tell you where he is." Hephaestus said.

"Why are you helping me, Hephaestus?" Qutuosi asked.

"Because I've been stricken from Olympus' rolls, and Zeus even stole my beloved daughter Pandora—you should have seen that girl, right?" Hephaestus said.

Upon hearing this, Qutuosi nodded—he had indeed seen that statue when retrieving the Olympian Sacred Sword from the underworld, and even nearly mistook it for his own daughter.

"First, let me tell you the origin of Pandora's Box. Like this—I lied to Zeus, but when you opened Pandora's Box, my lie was exposed.

Zeus flew into a rage, beat me mercilessly, and took my beloved daughter Pandora away. Now I only want revenge against the Olympian gods." Hephaestus said.

"I'll go find the Olympian Sacred Fire now." Qutuosi believed part of what Hephaestus said, but not all—he needed to confirm with other Olympian deities.

However, Hephaestus's statement is quite similar to Athena's: entering the Olympian Sacred Fire means certain death.

"Hold on, Spartan—I sense you have two bows in your hands: one fire-attributed, one ice-attributed.

And each carries Olympian divine power, as well as Titan divine power." Hephaestus said.

"Exactly! One is the Apollo's Bow I just took from the underworld; the other is the bow and arrow I took from Typhon's eyes."

"I can help you upgrade these two weapons—fuse the two bows into one, creating a weapon with far greater power." Hephaestus said.

After a moment's thought, Qutuosi nodded, took out the white bow and the golden bow from his hands, and handed them to Hephaestus.

Qutuosi knows Hephaestus's forging skills—if he's willing to craft a weapon for him, it couldn't be better.

Soon Hephaestus began his work, using the metal Luode previously gave him, plus some leftover scraps, to reforge these two divine-level bows.

He fused the two bows into one, then proceeded to the most crucial step—Hephaestus took out a portion of the soul energy Luode had given him earlier.

Then he infused this soul energy into the bow, making it a weapon with its own will.

This bow can now not only release the scorching fire-arrows of the sun god, but also unleash the power of the ice Titan.

After forging was complete, Hephaestus handed the bow to Qutuosi for use.

After receiving the new weapon, Qutuosi drew the bowstring to test it—this bow indeed felt much smoother, its power greatly increased, and it now combines the traits of both bows, simultaneously wielding ice and fire.

After nodding to Hephaestus, Qutuosi turned and left directly.

After Qutuosi left, a spatial fluctuation appeared beside Hephaestus, and Luode's figure emerged.

"Following your orders, Lord Luode, I have already fused these two divine-level bows and temporarily handed them over to that Spartan." Hephaestus said.

"Well done. Keep watching this Spartan's performance." Luode said.

Your second weapon is also now modified by me—next you'll need to obtain a gauntlet and a vengeance whip, which I'll also modify for you.

After walking out of the underworld, Qutuosi returned once again to the Olympian battlefield.

A giant with a severed arm also appeared before Qutuosi. (End of chapter)
