Chapter 41: Theramore, Proudmoore

~6 min read 1,021 words

Although she has now lost most of her power, her knowledge remains; otherwise, Jaina would also be unable to join the ranks of Azeroth's top mages in the future.

In the future Azeroth world, only Khadgar could suppress this girl; to achieve such accomplishment, Aegwynn's teachings and part of the Guardian's power are indispensable.

Otherwise, relying solely on talent, Jaina would not be qualified to become the top mage.

Soon Aks had already prepared the spatial anchor, helping Luode locate Theramore's position.

"Alright, Luode, you can activate your teleportation ability now."

"Thank you!" Luode nodded and immediately activated his spatial energy; after a flash of light, Luode, Kaido and his daughter, Runti, and a skeleton clad in a black robe were teleported to Theramore.

Theramore was built on the dusty mud swamp; in the game, it is very close to the lair of the black dragon princess Onyxia.

However, in the actual geography, Theramore is still some distance from Onyxia's lair.

Theramore itself is a small port city with a population of tens of thousands.

"Welcome to Theramore, I don't know which great mage has graced my city with their presence." As Luode's party just landed, a woman's voice sounded.

Upon hearing that voice, Luode knew the owner had arrived—the famous Proudmoore.

Don't think that in the game players can run around via fixed portals in the main cities; the reality is, you're joking! Alliance personnel wishing to go to Kalimdor must take a ship from Stormwind, sailing for several months before reaching Theramore harbor.

Those who can open portals to travel everywhere are none other than top-tier big shots; you haven't seen a certain king go to negotiate with the Horde, always going by ship.

In the real Azeroth world, those capable of using spatial teleportation spells are truly the top-tier batch of mages.

So, upon sensing spatial fluctuations in her city, Jaina immediately rushed over.

Theramore has its own spatial anchor set up; anyone arriving via that anchor can be considered a visitor.

But today's visiting great mage, Jaina does not recognize the other party!

Leading the group was a young man in a mage's robe, about twenty years old, fairly tall, with a few followers beside him—two men and two women; the person entirely wrapped in a black robe should be a man! "Miss beautiful lady, may I see your underwear?" Before Luode could speak, Buluke had already shot forward like the wind, knelt before Jaina, performed a gentleman's salute, and asked.

"????" Even the knowledgeable Jaina was startled by those words—what nonsense!

That first greeting was also rather rude; Jaina grew slightly annoyed, even wanting to draw her staff on the spot and shoot an ice arrow, followed by a blizzard.

"Really sorry, Lady Proudmoore, my companion here has a few screws loose; just ignore his words." Luode instantly appeared behind Buluke, punched him down, then tossed him to Kaido and the others behind.

Holy shit! This idiot skeleton, your mom is really something. "Your servant's words are extremely rude, but since he's not right in the head, it's fine! You, you are a great mage? Just now, did you cast a transcontinental teleport?" Jaina sized up Luode from head to toe and asked.

What kind of guy is this? He doesn't look like a powerful mage either! "How to put it? Lady Proudmoore, I am not a mage but a warlock; I myself, therefore I can also perform transcontinental teleportation." Luode briefly explained his situation.

"You can't lock onto a suitable spatial anchor, can't connect to the ley node, and even without drawing power from the ley node, you can directly use your own mana to perform spatial teleportation?" Jaina opened her mouth wide, incredulous.

Even Rhonin and other Dalaran great mages, without borrowing Azeroth ley node energy, couldn't possibly perform transcontinental teleportation relying solely on their own mana, right?

Only the Guardians, or mages who have obtained part of the Guardian's power, can do that relying solely on their own mana.

Moreover, what surprised her even more was that the other party was not a mage but a warlock! "Frankly speaking, Mr. Luode, why don't you study the arcane arts? With your talent, if you wished, you could reach great heights; fel power may grant quick gains, but it's too dangerous." Jaina said.

"I am not relying solely on my own power; I possess a very special treasure, with which I can travel freely. It's not that I have extraordinary mage talent; otherwise, how could I have chosen to become a warlock?" Luode said.

Don't ask; it's just the spatial gem energy I use, a magic crystal ball that absorbs spatial energy—Luode has more than one.

"Uh! Moreover, do such miraculous treasures exist?" Jaina asked.

Asking about others' treasures is extremely rude, but Jaina couldn't help her curiosity.

"Of course! Lady Proudmoore." Luode said.

"Well then, Mr. Luode, what brings you to Theramore?" Jaina suppressed her curiosity and asked.

"It's like this, Lady Proudmoore; I want to meet the Horde's High King Saurfang and ask him for a small favor." Luode said.

Rather than going straight to the orc city, it's better to ask a familiar orc for help—so I've decided on you, Jaina.

"Uh! You want me to help, right? You, you want to go to the Horde? I'll say this first: if you're seeking revenge against the Horde, I can't agree." Jaina said.

"No, it's just that my companion wants to learn the way of the warrior, so he wishes to find the strongest warrior currently in the Horde to exchange practice and study." Luode said.

So you're looking to pick a fight? That reason is really lame.

Doesn't the Alliance have any suitable warrior instructors? Jaina seriously suspects these people are just looking to cause trouble for the Horde, because many in the Alliance have done that before.

"Sorry! I'm afraid I can't help you with this; neither the Horde nor the Alliance can afford more bloodshed." Jaina shook her head and said.

She intended to send Luode and company away, rather than let them go to the Horde.
