Chapter 56: The Deal with Sylvanas, Serving Me for a Hundred Years

~6 min read 1,082 words

Damn! Banshee Queen, this is wanting me to emulate the Death Knight Ning Caichen! Or maybe a certain Azeroth love saint, Mr. Marcus.

I never expected you even had this healing potion trick! Truly living up to you, Marcus the Great God—so you used this to pry open some female Forsaken?

Or maybe any future human animal keeper, Goblin 4000 series robots—all were taken care of by you with this trick?

Marcus's battle record is truly terrifying: human female mage, female undead rogue, female warlock and her succubus, a Draenei with tiny hooves, plus blood elf sisters, and even having Power Word Fortitude cast on him.

This spell, which every man dreams of, temporarily boosts stamina—it's a priest's divine skill.

Tauren and Naga alike couldn't escape Marcus's grasp.

Since Marcus the Great God and Ning Caichen both have this courage, why can't I?

Thinking this, Luode grinned and said: "All right! Queen, shall we start now?"

Upon hearing this, Sylvanas, who had been smiling, froze for a moment, even widening her eyes.

She had only wanted to tease the human before her, but she didn't expect him to actually mean it.

"Hahaha! I underestimated your guts—wait while I fetch a bottle of healing potion." Sylvanas said.

Let me see, human—just how big is your courage?

The story of the human paladin Marcus has shocked Sylvanas for a long time.

I didn't expect there to be such a brave human besides Marcus—then I'll test your combat prowess.

"No need, I already have a bottle of healing potion here—queen, go ahead and use it." Luode produced a bottle of healing potion and handed it to the Banshee Queen.

"Damn it, not for anything else—today I just want excitement, so let me see what you, Banshee Queen, are capable of!" The Banshee Queen flashed a sinister smile, spread her arms, conjuring a pale purple mist that gradually shrouded the surrounding windows.

The venue for entertaining Luode was not the Undercity's downtown district, but the highest tower of Lordaeron Royal City.

From here one can overlook the entirety of Lordaeron Royal City, as well as the vast forests of Tirisfal Glades.

The air beneath Undercity isn't great, so Luode and company, along with some tribal envoys, all reside in the Upper City.

"All right! Now, human, let's discuss the real matter—no one will eavesdrop here; I have something important to discuss with you."

Sylvanas unfastened the small armor at her waist, tossed it aside, used up an entire bottle of healing potion, then stood before Luode, turned away, leaving him a near-perfect back view.

"Then I'll obey rather than show respect—what business does the Banshee Queen have?" Luode said with a smile, Armament Haki and Conqueror's Haki boosting him, firing at full power and instantly suppressing the Banshee Queen's darkness.

"You have what I want—I want the power within that undead body; you must have a way, right?" Sylvanas turned her head, gazing at Luode with her eerie red eyes, and said.

Inside the room, candlelight flickered, the ceiling chandelier swayed back and forth, emitting creaking sounds.

In the candlelight's glow, two shadows entwined, a strange centaur knight phantom appearing on the room's wall.

"That's right, I really do have a method—and there are many kinds; even letting you fully resurrect isn't impossible." Luode said, stroking Sylvanas's pointed ears.

Although she had become an undead, one must admit that under the optimization of top-tier necromantic power, the Banshee Queen's skin, aside from being somewhat cold, is no different from a living person's.

Resurrecting her is no exaggeration on Luode's part—being able to traverse the myriad worlds, there are far too many resurrection methods within them; reviving an undead is utterly simple. "From your eyes I can tell you're not lying—I can serve you until I am resurrected." Sylvanas bent over, hands braced on the table, turned her head to Luode and said.

"So after resurrection you don't intend to serve me anymore, my Banshee Queen?" Luode chuckled and said.

Meanwhile, increasing the output of Conqueror's Haki strongly suppressed the Banshee Queen.

"Hmph! You're really greedy—then after I resurrect, I can serve you for a hundred years; will that do?" Sylvanas adjusted her stance, turned her head, and said.

A hundred years is nothing long for the long-lived high elves, but for humans it's a lifetime.

"Then let's make a pact—one hundred years! After you resurrect, you'll serve me for a hundred years; your command of necromantic power is just what I need lately." Luode seized the queen's hands from behind and said.

"Just kidding—once you're on my thief ship, you won't get off; work for me willingly for life! After a hundred years I'll have already taken down Sargeras."

"If there's anything you need help with, just say so—need me to cooperate a bit?" Sylvanas turned her head and asked.

"Or why don't you shout twice so I can hear?" Luode said, wiping sweat from his forehead.

"I only know how to banshee wail; if you want to hear it, I'll give you a demonstration—but this move inflicts massive soul damage, and even an ordinary human could have their soul torn apart in an instant." Sylvanas said mockingly.

"I only know how to banshee wail—want to give it a try?"

"Never mind! Soon I'll obtain the corpse of a very powerful being; I need you to turn it into a death knight." Luode said.

"In the Summit War, Whitebeard's corpse cannot be let go."

"Hmm! I have a lich under my command who once worked for the Scourge; he can help you remodel death knights, but he's only skilled at remodeling blood death knights." Sylvanas said.

"Blood death knight, then blood death knight it is!" Luode said.

"A blood death knight can also serve as a tank—I didn't expect Sylvanas to actually be able to help."

"Not long ago, the Horde and Alliance together stormed Naxxramas, slew the great lich Kel'Thuzad, thus seizing plenty of Scourge gear—later we could even equip your death knight with a runeblade; are you all set?" Sylvanas said, barely supporting herself.

"That guy's physique is truly formidable; he hides many secrets—I hope this time my bet pays off."

"I'll be fine soon—just bear with me a little longer."

After several minutes, Luode wiped sweat from his forehead and sat down in the chair.

Sylvanas, meanwhile, rose and re-donned her small armor.

The strange centaur knight shadow also vanished.

"You really are something, warrior!"

"Thanks for the praise, ma'am."
